Welcome to Nana’s Place in Asheville!

This is a very comfortable 2 BR/2 BA with expansive wrap around deck to take in city and endless mountain views. We are 5 minutes to downtown Asheville, & Biltmore Estate/Village. We are situated on Beaucatcher Mtn in the city. You have woods, wildlife, mountains and the city outside your door. Take advantage of everything Asheville has to offer while enjoying our comfortable home in the Kenilworth neighborhood!
Please note the host of this property lives in walk out basement. We do NOT share any of your space.

We loved it

We were the first guests after the horrible hurricaine. Marie was very responsive & kept us up-to-date on the status of the property & the town. The house was immaculate, and very comfortable. Our only issue was with the wine glasses. There were only a few, and they were plastic. Our whole group agreed that we needed more wine glasses, and not plastic. Other than that, our whole stay was terrific! I would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting Ashville or the Biltmore

Cozy and comfortable

We were a party of four and really appreciated the cleanliness and character of this home. The beds were comfy and the outdoor spaces wonderful. There’s two separate loving and dining areas to enjoy. We saw the resident black bear and enjoyed how close this was to various Asheville spots. Would definitely stay here again.

Great location and everything you need

The home was in a great location, check in was easy and the house was clean when we got there. Communication with the host was great, would stay here again.

Great as always!

This is our 3rd visit to Nana's Place, and each time there are improvements to the property. This time, there were new chairs in the living room, and new shower heads including hand-showers. It's a great base to explore Asheville - close to downtown, the Biltmore and the River Arts district. You just have to be ready to use a steep narrow road to get in and out, but you get used to it pretty quickly.

Feels like Home 10/10!

As a frequent traveler, location and comfort are critical. Nana’s is the perfect example of both. We were on a girls’ trip and planned to visit Biltmore for several days as well as spend time downtown and take a few mountain hikes. Biltmore is literally 5 mins down the road and you can see the estate from the balcony! Downtown is about 10 mins and we were hiking Rocky Fork State Park within the hour. Not only convenient, but the home is spotless and very well apportioned. There were jigsaw puzzles for leisurely mornings and comfy beds to welcome our weary bones in the evenings. We’ll definitely return!!

Great Location!

My friends and I wanted to be close to town because some days we were going in different directions so the location fit our needs perfectly. For those that used Uber it was only about $6 or $7 fare to downtown. We loved sitting on the awesome deck with our morning coffee or evening glass of wine. Our host Marie was engaging and there when we needed her. Shout out to Andrew as well since he responded quickly with answers to questions.

Secluded in the city

Nana’s place is inside the city of Asheville a couple of miles from Biltmore Estate, yet when you are there you feel as if you are away from the city. The home is in a quiet neighborhood and we never experienced any disturbances. Marie, the property manager lives in the downstairs apartment so any issues we had were addressed immediately. (Only issue, we needed more bath cloths) The reason for the four star on cleanliness was there was some dusting that wasn’t completed, (although Marie offered to do it, but it didn’t bother us) there were fingerprints on the deck doors, and a few knats on the window seal in the kitchen. NOTHING that would hinder us from staying here again. These were all just oversights from the cleaning crew. The home itself was very comfortable for our group of four. Although we did not use many of the kitchen items, it seemed well stocked. The deck area was fabulous and we spent a lot of time out there. We were able to see a bear on our last morning there, so that was exciting! We would stay at Nana’s place again!

Perfect for our family

This Is our second year staying with Marie. The house is in a wonderful location in Asheville and has been the right amount of space for our family of four. Marie is always helpful, And we hope for another stay next summer!

Biltmore vacay

Had a wonderful time. House was clean and cozy, and comfortable. Had everything we needed. Marie was very friendly and kind. Felt like I had known her for a long time. We would stay there again. Great location.

Great home

We spent a week in Asheville helping out with our son’s family move from Denver to Asheville. This stay was perfect for us. The home is comfortable, spacious and has a fabulous porch. The hosts were thoughtful and helpful. I highly recommend this home. The only tiny drawback might be the very steep road to the location which is why I gave it 4* for location. The view is great, tho!

The property and location were perfect for an extended weekend visit to Asheville. Near the downtown, the arts district and Biltmore, but felt like it was in the country. Nice surroundings and big patio to relax on. Would definitely stay here again.

Terrific Stay

Our family stayed at this property for two weeks to be close to a new baby in the NICU at Mission Hospital. The property is terrific and the hosts are wonderful. The views from the deck are terrific.

Visiting Asheville to see Biltmore at Christmas

Home was very nice, cozy, comfortable, clean. Location super close to town and Biltmore. One road in a bit steep for us FL folks but found another way in and out in case of ice. We were astonished to see four black bears one evening in woods next to house, but, again, unusual for us FL people. Marie is an very accommodating host and had everything we needed to start our stay. We enjoyed spending time in her home.

Highly recommend Nana's Place

I took my 61 year old niece on one of her bucket list trips to Asheville and Biltmore at Christmas. Nana's Place was the perfect location for anything we wanted to do in the Asheville area. In addition it had stunning views and was perfectly furnished. We will recommend it to all our friends and will definitely rent again when we are fortunate enough to return.

My name is Marie, but many call me Nana. This has been my home for quite some time. My son and daughter in law (Andrew & Sue) purchased the home in 2018. I moved from Florida after my children were grown and settled. We have been involved in short-term rentals for about 5 years. Hosting out of town guests is a joy and I have found it very rewarding. I live in the walk-out basement and will be as available as you need me to be. I am confident you will enjoy your stay. Thank you for booking with us.

We are uniquely located in the middle of Asheville. We are close to all attractions but retain a mountain/neighborhood vibe. We have mountain, woods,and town views. We have wildlife on our mountain (Turkey and Bear).
