The house offers a unique position on the edge of Campudulimu, a small hamlet located between the local market town of Perfugas and Erula village. It boasts a generosity of spirit in it's original conception - the rooms are voluminous, with a shady verandah for cool breakfasting on one side, and a large sundeck with stunning views and a barbecue on the other - ideal for long Mediterranean evenings listening to crickets and owls, and watching the sun slip down behind the dusky mountains whilst engaging with a glass of the very juicy local cananau wine. It is a lovely place to be, and we trust that all our visitors will feel the same. When the heat builds up you can jump into our new swimming pool (2021), which benefits from salt water chlorination and it's own sundeck. Ideal for lazy family days at the house.
When you can drag yourselves away from the house, you can choose to have a seaside holiday - the nearest beaches are 30 minutes away by car - and there are some very lovely locations all along the coast. Or you can focus on the neighbourhood ... for example we have a nuraghe overlooking the house, built overlooking a vertiginous drop into the valley behind, and well worth a short walk, or you can visit Tempio, with its "Centro Historico" and "Piazza del Purgatorio" as well as it's fabulous springs and wild swimming. Or you can sample the unique Sardinian "interior" - the culture of rural life in the mountains, rich with a history of weaving, basketry and bandits - there is even a "Museo del Banditismo" in Aggius. There are caves to explore, petrified forests, and most villages have a museum or a "Domus de Janus" (cave house) to explore.
