Newly custom built, 4-season waterfront Cottage on 20 acres in beautiful “Land O Lakes”. The cottage sits on a crystal-clear, spring-fed lake about 5 km in length. Palmerston lake offers excellent fishing for smallmouth bass as well as lake trout and pan fish. Our lake system is extreamly clean, weed free and excellent for swimming, boating, fishing and more.
The Space:
Spacious, open kitchen comes complete with granite countertops, stainless steel appliances and everything you need to create memorable meals.
5 large bedrooms with new pillow top mattresses for a restful sleep. 2 full bathrooms, one per floor.
Outside fire pit with 12ft picnic table is a great place to cozy up by the fire and enjoy the panoramic view of the stars
Everything you need to relax: boardgames, 2 flatscreen TV’s, 3 kayaks, 1 paddle board, propane fireplace, large outdoor fire-pit, internet, large dock and crystal clear water with depts of 6ft-10ft off the dock. Local boat rental and launch nearby.
The best Atv trails in the province are less than 1km away from the property.
Winter sports including snowmobile trails, ice fishing, and cross country skiing

Fabulous location. Quiet. Excellent communication by host.Comfortable beds. Good kitchen equipment. Near great hiking trails. Lovely view of the lake.

Everything was excellent as always, appreciated the new couch and love seat in the living room this year! Some new mattresses in the future would be nice but overall we love the property and host is great for communicating!

Our family had a terrific stay at this delightful cottage. The little ones had no end of adventures in the outside space…climbing rocks, hunting for treasure and digging for dinosaur bones! It was a wonderful week for the whole family. The cottage was beautifully maintained and fully supplied with everything we needed. The communication with Mike, the owner, was excellent. We would stay here again without hesitation.

Wonderful Stay

A wonderful get away for our group of friends, everything you could need is available. Lots of big comfortable rooms to go along with the clean and organized kitchen to the deck with quality patio seating. Water clear and clean, a truly fantastic property.

A beautiful cottage for a weekend of fun with friends and family

The cottage is beautiful and perfectly situated on the lake. We had lots of fun out on the water kayaking and swimming. The cottage was really clean and Mike went above and beyond to accommodate us. Looking forward to returning again.

Amazing property ! Best summer getaway

It was great dealing with Mike , he was responsiblve. Very polite and answered all our concerns! Property itself was beautiful and clean and we enjoyed evey bit of staying there . Definitely visiting again

ATV Weekend

Friends that getaway

We are a few friends who have become empty nesters. We have decided to take a break and go 4 wheeling together in the fall to enjoy the changes that the season brings. This place fits us all. It has space for our vehicles, trailers and we can leave on our 4 wheelers right from the property.

Fully equipped, quiet, comfortable stay

We had an amazing stay at Mike’s cottage. We very comfortably slept 6 adults and 4 kids. The cottage is fully equipped with everything you needed and more. The kids toys/high chairs/ crib were especially useful and really reduced the gear we needed to bring for our kids. It is a beautiful cottage (more like lake house!) with comfortable beds, very quiet with no nearby neighbours and it’s a pretty calm lake. Had a great time using the kayaks and swimming. We didn’t explore the neighbouring towns but they had a binder full of info on where to find things that would be useful. Mike was also really nice and had great communication with us at checkin and checkout. Highly recommend!!

The home size and grounds were great, spaceous and secluded, however, not all of the house and grounds were well prepared for guests. The dock at the propety edge to the lake was not fully set up and difficult to access with paddle board and kayak. The house was crawling with a ton of ants on the main floor. There were 2 kayaks in the storage shed - one of which was infested with mice, outdoor lawn chairs stored in the shed were infested with mice also. The house air conditioning was not ready for use and the owner did not offer any remedy to make it operable. The listing says no additional fees but doesn’t mention the 150 fee if you don't take all of your garbage with you when you leave. The hours/days of the Waste Transfer station closest to the property are not convenient and other stations are half an hour away. The property is not set up (only one large waste bin) to accommodate for the instructions in sorting different types of waste (paper/cardboard/ cans/bottles/general garbage/ plastics) so that waste will be readily accepted at the transfer station. Have to drive back and forth to waste station in order to return the resident's entrance permit into the waste station. Very inconvenient if you have a packed vehicle and then have to find room for garbage to haul it away or face a huge extra fee. Liked the size of the house and property but, not the unlisted rules and lack of prep.

We are glad you enjoyed the spacious layout, but we are sorry to hear that certain aspects of your stay did not meet expectations.We would like to clarify a few points to ensure accurate information for all future guests: Air Conditioning: Our air conditioning system and HRV is fully operational. we would have been happy to immediately guide you through turning it on if you had reached out to us during your stay. Garbage & Recycling Policy: To comply with local municipality rules, waste sorting and removal guidelines—including the fee for left-behind trash—are clearly outlined in the check out instructions, this is a fee charged by the cleaner, not the owner. We provide a garbage bin and all the necessary bags to help with this process, but we will look into adding more structured sorting bins to make this easier for future guests. Property & Equipment Maintenance: We take cleanliness seriously. We are immediately addressing the dock setup, only half the dock was installed as the hinge was broken when we floated the dock from the bay. We will inspect the outdoor storage shed for pest control to ensure the kayaks and lawn chairs are pristine for the next visitors.We appreciate your insights, as they help us refine our communication and guest onboarding process.

Weekend Fall Get Together

Myself and my friends enjoyed a weekend at the cottage. We went kayaking and had camp fires outside. Everything in the listing was accurate and the host was always communicative. Would stay here again.
