The property is beautiful, cozy and quiet. It fit my family of 10 perfectly. Host was very helpful and attentive. Would come stay again any time! (Be sure to turn the bear mats on, we saw a fuzzy friend!)

We had an incredible stay and couldn’t recommend Vince’s home enough. The house was absolutely beautiful, very well maintained, and had just about everything we could possibly need during our stay.One of the biggest highlights was the private beach access. It was such an amazing amenity, especially for spending time outside and doing activities with the kids. The outdoor spaces at the house were just as great, we loved being able to relax around the fire pit in the evenings and enjoy the hot tub after a full day on the water.Vince was an exceptional host. He was incredibly accommodating, responsive, and helpful throughout our entire stay, and genuinely made us feel welcome and taken care of. Thank you, Vince!

This is an AMAZING property! The home is gorgeous and is set up so well. We were a family group of 8 adults and 4 children (3 generations). We loved that every family unit could have their own en-suite bed/bath, the dining room table accommodated us all with ease, the living room easily fit us, kids loved the upstairs play room and my “puzzle expert” daughter in law loved the “puzzle/game room” just off the living room…she could work on her puzzle but still be part of the action. The kitchen is totally equipped. We have stayed in MANY rental properties all around the world and have never had a better equipped kitchen. The hot tub out back got lots of use (nice touch to have a basket of beach towels right near the door out back!). We used the fire pit to make s’mores one night. And the kids enjoyed playing on both front and back lawns. The built in grill on the deck was super handy (and we got a kick out of the old quad lift chair hanging on the deck!). The beds were all super comfy and the provided toiletries were top notch…and “3 daughter in law approved”! We walked to the beach each afternoon, nice to be so close. There was plenty of parking for our 4 vehicles (1 in the garage and 3 in the driveway). Vince was super accessible and responded to ANY of our questions very promptly. The only “drawback” for us (two 70 year olds)…the gorgeous exterior granite steps made hauling all our stuff into the house a small challenge (but I guess that’s why we have 3 grown sons!)

Beautiful home and location

Beautiful home and great location. The house has everything that you could want or need. The host was responsive, informative and also provided a lot of suggestions on what to do and restaurants in the area. We would definitely go back and hope to make it an annual thing. Highly recommend!

We had a great stay here celebrating a birthday and spending a few days skiing. The house is fantastic, really comfortable, spacious, and thoughtfully laid out for a group. Having both the main house and guest house worked perfectly for our group and gave everyone plenty of room while still keeping everyone together.The kitchen and dining area are great for gathering, and the game room and hot tub made it an easy place to relax after skiing. The whole property feels private and peaceful, and everything was clean and well stocked.One small note for skiers: while the location is very close to Homewood and access is easy, it’s not truly ski-in/ski-out in the sense of skiing directly from the door to a lift. Still, getting to the mountain was simple and quick for us. You could do a tree run from glory hole, but not for most. Overall it’s a beautiful, comfortable place for a group trip.

This was the ideal home and setting for an Easter family get together. There was lots of space to spread out inside including by the fire, game rooms, book rooms, etc. And outside was beautiful with places to hang out or go hiking, down to the lake, etc. The home was well appointed in every room and very comfortable, and it was the best equipped kitchen with everything we needed for an Easter dinner for 14 (including a table big enough to seat us all). Due to a storm the night before we arrived, the power was off in the vicinity, but the owner had a generator which was up and running so we were warm with lights and everything we needed. Every bedroom had its own bathroom (including bathtubs), so everyone was very happy with their accommodations. The host and property manager were very helpful with all our questions. We would definitely return. It was a very happy Easter for all. Thank you!

Family vacation in our happy place!

My husband and I come to Tahoe every year and every other year we bring the whole family. This year we had eight adults, a toddler and 2 babies. Our VRBO was perfect! Our host was wonderful in terms of communication throughout the reservation process, upon our arrival and if we had any questions during the week. The trampoline on the lake and the other lake toys were awesome to use. Grateful for a fantastic week! Highly recommend this home for large groups.

The perfect Lake Tahoe getaway

We had the most incredible time at Vince's Trout Lodge. We have been coming to Tahoe for years, and this property is hands down the best rental you will find in Lake Tahoe. You will not find a better location in Lake Tahoe, perfectly situated on the West Shore in Homewood. You have it all right there - the best lake views, walking access to boat, kayak etc rentals, and some of the best restaurants on the lake. The landscaping around the home and quality of every detail of the home is exceptional -- clean, high-quality, and beautifully decorated. We had such a fun time, and we could not recommend renting this home more.

Beautiful Home - Amazing Host

First off, Vincent the host could not have been more accommodating. He provided a wealth of local information both prior to and during our stay. Quite simply, the finest host I have worked with on VRBO. Thank you! The property is beautiful and well maintained. The setting along a rushing creek is private, but still close to the lake. Our large, multi-generational group had plenty of space to relax, sleep, and play. We ate every meal at the house and the kitchen was very well appointed. Only wish we could’ve stayed longer than 3 days. We would absolutely rent this property again!!

Mountain get away

Beautiful home, in a private & pretty setting. Bit of hitch upon arrival as there had been a miscommunication with the cleaning crew & the house hasn't been prepared. But the owner was responsive & the house did get cleaned that day. Sadly it just lost the initial impact of an exciting arrival.

Amazing Property

Rented this for a family getaway. Eight adults and four kids under 10. Absolutely amazing from the house itself to everything available from dishes and supplies to games. House has great decor and probably the best appliances and supplies of any rental we have ever gotten. Equally impressive was the communication with Vince the owner. Very responsive and accommodating. Rental is quiet and located between North and South Tahoe; easy 30 minute drive to get to either. Usually do 3-4 rentals a year. This was the best rental and best owner we have dealt with. Definitely recommend.

Beautiful Home in Homewood

We just returned from our second year staying in this beautiful home in Homewood. There were 10 of us and 3 generations. The house met all our needs. The house is fabulous- there are plenty of bedrooms and a Great Room where we could all gather. The kitchen has everything we could imagine for dining at home. And the whole house is just beautifully furnished. The hot tub was right outside and the owner had installed a new outdoor grill. Our conversations with the owner were very helpful and cordial. We walked down to the private beach everyday. The home provides kayaks and paddle boards which we all used. We thoroughly enjoyed the woodsy neighborhood and the ease of getting around the North Shore.

Winter wonderland

This mountain home at Homewood is a special place. It’s amazing for a group of 2-3 families with kids. Top floor is a kids retreat complete with entertainment room and bunks, middle floor is like a fancy hotel for the adults (3 rooms), first floor is awesome living space for everyone with game room and huge fireplace, table for 14, and fully stocked kitchen. Hot Tub and Barbecue on the back deck are ready to go. There is everything you need for an epic winter vacation for your whole group. Kids loved sledding right on the property, building snowman, and enjoying all the games and toys at the house. Adults enjoyed cooking, sitting by the fireplace, the game room and relaxing in the hot tub. The owner is super responsive and want to make sure everything is perfect. Only nit picks would be that it’s not truly ski-in/out to Homewood unless you want to attempt a gnarley tree run. However the Homewood resort is just down the street so it’s not a big issue. Also, we had some trouble with the ovens but that’s mostly due to our inexperience cooking with propane powered oven. Owner I believe is planning to upgrade in the near future. Bottom line, don’t hesitate to book this place, it’s a gem. Most relaxing and beautiful mountain home we’ve stayed in.

Celebrated my 70th birthday and had a large family group. From the moment I walked in I felt at home. Property is stunning and the house is beautiful. Great place to enjoy Lake Tahoe and everything the West Shore has to offer. Vince is amazing and so accommodating. Highly recommend.

This property quickly became one of favorites - attractive and thoughtful furnishings with so much functionality and set in a lovely and natural landscape plus serenaded by the rushing creek. Lastly, it is a short walk to the lake with loads of chairs and towels available. One tip is to drive the chairs, towels, paddles, yeti backpack cooler, food and drink down to the no parking area at the HOA beach and unload then drive back and walk back down.... same on the return to the house. A private bath with each bedroom is a nice very nice perk and the oversize kitchen island provided plenty of space when meal prepping or serving meals. We found ourselves hanging out at the generous dining table - playing cards, talking and laughing the night we arrived. Next morning it was coffee on the front porch and we were in and out of the hot tub all through out our visit. With this special house comes an extra layer of procedures; locking and setting the alarm, turning the bear matts on and off, making sure the hot water recycler is on, food management to guard against bears - no food in cars, make sure the windows are locked on the ground when you are gone but nothing that is un"bear"able.

A perfect place

There is not much more I can say above and beyond the title. The house is in a stunning location, beautifully decorated but not at all precious, and really close to everything we wanted to do - especially skiing at Homewood which is a great, user-friendly throwback of a ski resort. The kitchen was where we did most meals and had every dish and pan and implement we could want, but every restaurant we hit - Za’s, Sunnyside, and Swiss Lakewood - was also great. The beds were wonderful - and we have some really picky (maybe even annoying) members of our crew. And lastly, the sledding on the hill into which the house is built was better than anything we would have paid for. Can’t recommend this home enough. Thank you so very much.
