Though our host David was not on site during our stay, communication with him was excellent. Anything we needed was sorted ASAP. The property grounds were huge and very well kept. The other property on site was not in use for our week and we enjoyed having the whole place to ourselves. Especially the lovely pool. We felt very safe and secure thanks to remote control gates even though the property is on a very quiet, peaceful lane. The online photos of The Cottage and the grounds are very accurate - what you see is what you get. It looks a lovely cottage, and it is. We particularly enjoyed eating out on the patio and having a glass of red.

In one word.... fantastic!! The beds are good, the house is authentic with all the modern luxery.The heated swimmingpool 10m long x5m wide and 1.70 deep is really great!! And the host David is fantastic, a real gentleman.

We rented the place with our family of 6 adults. Very charming place with a large beautiful garden in peaceful and in equally beautiful surroundings.The host was very attentive to our well-being and easy to contact; next to making sure our stay in the cottage was care free, he was also keen to provide us with all sorts of to-do tips in the area.Highly recommended!

Relaxing time, great for kids.

We loved our time in Normandy. Communication with David was excellent, and Anne marie was very attentive and helpful in showing us the property. We loved the swimming pool, pentaque, table tennis and the grass where we had the odd game of cricket and football with the kids. Very quiet, but we could still walk just over half an hour to the nearest town where there was a supermarket, 2 bakers, petrol station and I think all shops we could have required. The property felt like a home, we were not worried there was too much the children could break! One thing to note is that the 3 bedrooms upstairs gain access through each other, rather than from a landing which was no problem for our party, but could be an issue for other groups. Overall we had an excellent time and would highly recommend

Rustic retreat

We had a wonderful fortnight's stay in this GITE which is set in a peaceful hidden location about 20minutes inland from Honfleur. The swimming pool was a great hit with everyone particularly the children. It was warm and clean and not too deep and had a shallow area for the youngest. The GITE is very old and it felt like we were living in a gentler less harassed time. Having said that the Internet was slow but worked and the T V had Netflix. Kitchen was well equipped for a holiday and the 2 bathrooms, although small, always had plenty of hot water. If you enjoy being surrounded by nature you will love staying here. We had a resident toad and saw local deer,bats and heard owls hooting in the night. The starry skies were awesome. David was super kind to us and the staff looking staff looking after the property were courteous and discrete. We all loved our stay in this fairytale cottage.

Séjour au top

Nous avons passé un agréable séjour en famille dans ce très beaux domaine. Domaine qui est au calme tout en étant très proche des villes touristiques. Très belle chaumière typique et rénovée. Nous avons profité tous les jours de la piscine chauffée. David est très réactif et à l’écoute et nous a indiqué les bons plans ( plage, visite, commerce). L’équipe qui l’accompagne Anne Marie et M. Le Jardinier (désolé mais je connais pas le prénom) est au top. On recommande vivement et on y retournera avec plaisir.

Top Lage

Schönes altes Haus in einem großen gepflegten Garten. Schöner Pool. Sehr netter Gastgeber. Guter Ausgangspunkt um viele Sehenswürdigkeiten in weniger als einer Stunde zu erreichen

Beaucoup de toiles d'araignées. Ensemble charmant, mais vétuste, de plus pas de tv. Proprietaire agréable et réactif. Anne-Marie adorable. Un petit rafraîchissement serait le bienvenu.

Merci pour votre commentaire. Quelques remarques : 1/ le nettoyage est toujours fait à fond avant l'arrivée par un prestataire extérieur auquel je vais naturellement remonter votre remarque. Néanmoins il s'agit d'une chaumière typique en pleine campagne aussi forcément cela "vit" un peu... 2/ Concernant la TV comme indiqué avant votre arrivée elle fonctionne actuellement uniquement avec Netflix. 3/ Concernant le rafraichissement apparemment souhaité il me semble important de rappeler que vous avez fait le choix pour une location entre particuliers et non une prestation d'hôtellerie... Dans le cadre d'une location entre particuliers ce qui importe - du moins à mon humble avis - c'est la concordance entre ce qui est annoncé sur le site et la réalité de ce que vous avez trouvé à l'arrivée. Au cas particulier je n'ai pas le sentiment qu'il y ait eu la moindre discordance entre le bien proposé et la réalité. Après libre à vous de préférer l'hôtellerie mais à ce prix je doute que vous ayez pu bénéficier d'une piscine privée chauffée, d'un terrain de + de 2 hectares dont vous avez eu la jouissance exclusive, d'un accueil à votre arrivée ainsi qu'à votre départ et des services d'un jardinier pour l'entretenir. Mais il s'agit évidemment d'une question de point de vue.

Beautiful, peaceful and relaxing

We stayed at David’s lovely house for a week and had a wonderful time. The house is so beautiful from the outside - like a postcard, and the grounds surrounded by trees, and with splendid flower beds (especially the stunning hydrangeas). The tree lined drive is stunning. The pool is perfect - around 28 degrees all days, great size and a small lip around the deep end which was great for the children. The house inside has rustic charm with an amazing fireplace, extremely well equipped kitchen, comfy beds and endless hot water. There are some interesting features which the children liked - obviously the thatched roof, and the stairs to upstairs being on the outside of the property but protected from the elements by the thatch. The swing set, table tennis, boule area and trampoline were all very fun, and appreciated. Honfleur is beautiful and just 20 minutes away. Nearest supermarket in Beuzeville is just 5 minutes away. We will be returning and look forward to another week in Quetteville.

Très agréable séjour, piscine et jardin formidables

Nous avons passé un très bon séjour dans cette maison où nous avons été parfaitement accueillis et aides lorsque nous en avions besoin. Le jardin et la piscine chauffée sont formidables. Nous en avons bien profité.

Le loueur nous a réservé un excellent accueil et a fait le maximum pour compenser les désagréments du ménage bâclé qu’il avait confié à un prestataire.
