💎 Casa Mogambo: 3-Acre Ocean View Nature Estate in Manuel Antonio

Thank you so much for the review and the kind words about the property and staff – they ARE amazing! We call Ramon our resident Sloth Whisperer and Erreldy is truly nothing less than a magician. So happy you had a great stay. Multi-generational families are actually our primary guests; we frequently host groups with infants all the way to grandparents in their 80’s. As with many homes in Manuel Antonio, Casa Mogambo is built into the side of a steep hill, and the long, winding, paved drive is part of what makes the property so special: secluded, private, frequented by wildlife and off the main busy noisy road. With the proper 4x4 or AWD vehicle it is easily traversed unless you choose to walk (which is highly recommended to see wildlife or burn off Chef Sofia’s meals!). Our entire staff truly enjoyed having your family(s) and hope you’re able to visit Costa Rica and Casa Mogambo again someday!

Hello Jamie and thanks so much for your review. I hope my response will not appear defensive; we only wish to offer a couple of counterpoints. Mogambo’s privacy and serenity is special and unique and this would not be achieved if on the main road (where most properties hear every motorcycle and neighbor’s music). Descending down the long drive immerses the property in the jungle. Some guests rent a car (that is delivered to the house by the Concierge) and for those that choose not to, the drive can be an incredible opportunity to view the jungle and the wildlife. In fact, while there in January I saw my first porcupine in the giant tree by the bridge! The walls on the top floor are 3/4 height as in many Latin American homes for airflow. It’s critical for a home in the jungle (and keeps your bathroom air-conditioned!) While never an issue before, it’s worth noting there are two additional bathrooms on the main floor if additional privacy was needed. Thank you so much for the kind comments about the details of the home and about the staff; they are what makes Mogambo truly special (well that and the ocean and the jungle and the monkeys...).
