Richmond Plains vineyard established in 1991 produced New Zealand's first Certified Organic Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Noir.

Walk or picnic among the vines. Soak up some of Nelson's sun and cool off in the pool. Enjoy a complimentary bottle of wine. Close to many local attractions; artists, cafes, vineyards, beaches, Hoglund Glass, WOW, tennis, fishing and golf courses. Take a day trip to the beautiful Abel Tasman or hike in the Kahurangi National Park.

Easy drive to; Richmond 3 mins, Beach 10 mins, Nelson 15 mins, Mapua 15 mins, Abel Tasman 55 mins.

Walk across the vineyard to the Grape Escape Cafe and discover some other fantastic boutique shops and galleries.

Beautiful location

Very friendly hosts in a superb location- close to Richmond / Nelson. Beach and hill bush walks close by. Dog friendly where they are able to enjoy your holiday with you. Highly recommend this accommodation.

Quiet location with pleasant and informative hosts.

Very well-appointed apartment, set back from the road, in a vineyard. We enjoyed our 2 night stay and appreciated that we were allowed to bring our dog. Handy to cafes and just a short drive to restaurants and shops.

This is a great place to stay. The hosts are very nice and approachable. Just love it... and the wine is great too. Our wee dog loves wandering through the grape vines.

Nice way to get started on NZ vacation

We came here for 5 days to get a nice slow start to a 3 week vacation on the South Island. The facility was well appointed and nice & quiet. The pool allowed for a refreshing dip at the end of each day. It was nice to stay on a quiet farm for a few days.

Beautiful Modern Cottage in a Vineyard

Fabulous hosts Lars and Sam. Excellent wines from their winery and fruit from their orchard. The private heated pool a bonus. The Grape Escape Restaurant just down the street excellent for lunch. We had a wonderful 3 day stay.

Lovely hide-away

We generally enjoyed our stay, particularly the location. The cottage was comfortably furnished although for a long 3-week stay we would have liked an oven and some comfortable outdoor furniture. The little patio area required some attention. Apart from those factors, we had everything necessary.

Richmond Vineyard

We had a great 2 weeks exploring the Nelson & Tasman areas, which were wonderful and did not disappoint! This accommodation is in a very convenient location to get around and not far from shops and cafes. We found the bed uncomfortable and thought a topper pad would be great for future guests. Loved being able to walk around the vines at sunset, which was a real treat. And being able to bring our dog is much appreciated.

We enjoyed a perfect stay at the cottage, enhanced by a heat wave! With the wonderful Rabbit Island nearby we only used the pool once, otherwise the accomodation and location was as described and gave us what we needed. Sam was warm and welcoming and with the Vineyards own wines near to hand, we were never thirsty - I do recommend the Blanc de Noir. An enjoyable stay, I would recommend the cottage and location heartily. Jonathan
