Great spot for a quiet weekend enjoying the sounds, easy to stay in. Seven people and 3 dogs stayed comfortably. Great communication and felt looked after. Thanks Pistoll family :)

Great Hideaway

This was our eighth stay at Water Pistol. It has become our family treat to get away from it all and enjoy the location and relax together. It is a magic spot and we always come back refreshed.

Great spot

Very basic but everything that’s needed is at the property, great fishing in the bay and lots of firewood available for the inside fire that we used most nights to warm the home

Paradise

This place was just amazing, we had the best most relaxing Xmas here, hosts were very helpful, I highly recommend this place to anyone wanting to get some peace. We are already planning a trip back.

Amazing property

This bach is bliss and perfect for off grid relaxation in a breathtaking environment. We loved fishing off the jetty, enjoying the bay and kayaking. The sealife is amazing and the kids loved the resident weka. The woodfire hot tub, outdoor gas shower and the gas fridge mean it is also a very comfortable stay. We will definitely be back!

Fantastic spot, we visited in cold weather and still had a great time. It's a basic, off grid property but is very well thought out. Solar for lights, music and phone charging. Fridge, shower and stoves run off gas, wood fireplace and woodfired bath outside. Awesome set up - thanks for sharing it with us!

Private Sanctuary

Overall we had a good stay at this property. The facilities are very basic as listed and very limited power. It's a really nice place to get away from it all if you want to enjoy the sound of birds and be on the water.

Idyllic seclusion

The Water Pistoll property is perfect for fishing, kayaking, swimming and hiking. Surrounded by trees, with a profusion of birdlife, it is the ideal escape from modern life. The facilities are well thought out and functional. The outdoor shower is delightful and the accommodation area upstairs gives fabulous views out across Dryden Bay.

True Break Away

The property is private and just a little cut off from the world. As a family we love it. This was our 6th visit. We enjoy the beauty of the place and live a simple life for a week. The shower fridge etc all work well on gas so we are quite comfortable.

The Perfect "Mini-Moon"

We came to this batch as a mini-moon as we just had our destination wedding in Marlborough. This place was perfect as it was 'off-the-grid' and allowed us to unwind and relax to decompress from the perfect wedding we had. We loved living basic, having access by boat only and feeling like it was our own little world. The outdoor shower is a favourite, and fishing off the deck and catching dinner was the icing on the cake. Highly recommend!

So Amazing

Water Pistoll is such a mint place to stay and unwind and relax, we had such a good time. The proximity to the outter sounds was just what we wanted as we went to ship cove, Motuara Island and Blumine Island. We caught enough fish for a decent feed, the kids had heaps of fun in the Kayaks and the dingy. Our time at Water Pistoll went way to fast, so we will definitely be back, next time for a little longer. We cant thank yous enough for letting us use your sweet bach as a holiday destination.
