Absolutely loved our stay at Orchard Cottage. The place was spotless, beautifully presented, and had everything we needed for a relaxing getaway. The bed was super comfortable, the kitchen was well‑equipped, and the outdoor area was beautiful overlooking the garden, perfect for morning coffees and evening unwinding.The location was ideal — peaceful, private, and close enough to everything we wanted to explore. It was an absolute pleasure meeting Shirley the host who was friendly, kind and approachable. Thank you again Shirley :)Would happily stay again and highly recommend this bach to anyone looking for a cosy, comfortable, and stress‑free escape.

I fell in love with the orchard cottage just coming in the drive way. A Perfect cottage tucked into a classic country garden, the deck wrapped in old roses, columbine, delphinium, foxglove, calla Lilly and wisteria. The interior is well appointed with lots of care to detail and thoughtful accessories and condiments to make the stay comfortable and a little luxurious. We enjoyed a cold beverage under the olive trees and wandered the orange grove accompanied by two very accommodating sheep. I could have stayed here indefinitely. I would love to think I could return sometime in the future. Thank you Shirley.

We had a wonderful time, the accommodation was warm, cozy & the perfect place to unwind for a few days, Shirley was a phenomenal host who went above and beyond. I would absolutely reccomend the orchard cottage to anyone.

We had the best time at the Orchard Cottage, it made our time in the Coromandel even more memorable. The cottage has been dressed beautifully, it has absolutely everything you need. And so private for being on the same property as the hosts. You really didnt know each other were there. We will love to plan a trip to stay there again in Spring/Summer.

Lovely place to spend a bit of time, cottage was great, with everything you need, including very comfy bed. We stayed on the coldest night of the year and it was still really cosy with the woodburner. Lots to do in the area with the stream at the bottom of the garden and Coromandel village centre only a couple of minutes down the road as well as the remarkable railway/pottery virtually next door. Great hosts, welcomed us quite late in the evening with the fire lit in advance. All this and able to bring our furry friend on holiday too.

So cosy we stayed in instead of going out, just to enjoy the cottage. It was raining as we stayed in Winter. Cottage has everything you need and more. Beautiful bed linen, handpicked flowers and fruit from the orchard. Loved it.

Great short stay property

Couldnt be nicer or the people friendlier-would definitely stay again, and being dog friendly really helped in our decision making

Lovely place to stay. The cottage and gardens were cozy, peaceful and well cared for. Really friendly and welcoming host who took great care of us. We had everything we needed and more (well stocked herbs and spices, hot drinks milk, pamphlets etc) and loved the extra touches such as the flowers.

A wonderful place to stay and a great host. We just loved our time staying in Shirley's cottage and really appreciated Shirley's thoughtfulness and attention to anticipating the needs of travellers who come to stay. Shirley was a great host and helped us with ideas for things to do in the Coromandel region. The setting is wonderful - quiet and peaceful - and yet it's just a few minutes from the centre of Coromandel town.

They had everything we needed for kitchen utensils and in terms of sauces, seasoning, and so on. They offered us to stay for free if the cyclone prevented us from going home, too. Highly recommended.

Loved our stay. Place was spotless. Bed was divine to sleep on. There was everything you needed in the cottage.Shirley was so lovely. She made us so welcome and loved our dogs even though they thought the place was theirs.If you are thinking of coming to the Coromandel this is the place to stay
