Cosy cottage with fantastic views of Ruapehu

Located in the middle of National Part Park town. House is open plan, with all windows double glazed, well insulated. Captures all day sun making for a very sunny and warm house.
Magnificent views of Mt Ruapehu from lounge and kitchen. Kitchen has all mod cons, with basic pantry items. After a hard day at the mountain sit back and watch the setting sun changing the mountain from white to pink and orange. Linen provided,
AUTOMATED drying Cupboard.
Woodburner in lounge, plenty of dry firewood.
Enclosed carport making for a dry and easy unloading and uploading of vehicle.
A two minute walk to the transport hub to catch shuttle bus to either the Tongariro Alpine Crossing or the ski fields.
A 17 minute drive to Whakapapa Ski field.
40 minutes to Turoa ski field.
35 minutes to Tokaanu thermal pools.
Easy Walking distance train station, cafe's, pubs and Rock wall climbing.
Mountain Biking and walking tracks at doorstep.
Tracks include Fisher Rd track.
42 traverse.
Tongariro Crossing.
Old coach road.
Uenuku Pines Mountain bike park.

A great stay!

Fantastic location for a stay in National Park and to access Whakapapa ski resort. Accommodation was a home from home and the fire made all the difference. A very short, easy walk to the pub too. Book in confidence.

Lovely, warm cottage

My family and I loved staying in your cottage. Very neat and clean, and has everything and more that you could need for a family on holiday. Will definitely be back!

Great cottage

Jann’s property was a wonderful place to relax and recover from the Tongariro Alpine Crossing. The views were beautiful, sitting out on the deck was so relaxing and peaceful. We very much enjoyed staying here and can’t thank you enough for the opportunity 😊

A very practical stopover

An extremely well located house, excellent communication with Jann, and a house kitted out with everything you needed for a couple of days around Ruapahue, all very practical.

very cosy cottage

the cottage is very close to Whakapapa ski field, and not too far to go to Turoa ski field at Ohakune, or Raetihi to visit the Dinosaur House for budding paleontologists. we found the cottage very comfy, with a wood fire to keep the chill away, with everything tidy and beds comfy too

Perfect ski break stay

Great option for a family wanting to explore National park. The house offers every thing you need. Just be warned if the fire station alarm sounds, it’s very loud as it is right across the road.

Warm home close to Mt Ruapehu

Great communication, easy access. Fireplace keeps the whole house warm along with the double glazing. Great location for heading up the slopes, only 20 min drive.

Everything you need

Perfectly sized, warm and well-kitted-out cottage for a couple of days exploring the central plateau. Put the kids in the bunk room, with M&D in the queen. It is a short walk to Roy Turner Memorial Playground, local 4 Square, and local eateries. Try Amy-Jades yellow coffee cart outside Schnapps for your morning fix. Will keep on our list for future visits.

The place needed a deep cleaning. There was dead insects, hair in drawer with drinkware, bath floir looked unswept or cleaned, hair on floor. Walking barefoot left soles of feet dirty. We mopped ourselves. Washed dishes before using. Found somewhere else to stay after first night.

Snowboard/skiing weekend

A beautiful warm home for the weekend up the mountain. Everything we needed was available. Firewood in the basket ready to light the fire, a hot shower with amazing pressure and complimentary wifi. We would love to return again.

Family Holiday to the Mountain

Our stay was very enjoyable. The fire kept the house nice and warm, and there were plenty of cooking equipment so we didn't have any problem making food for ourselves. I would absolutely recommend this host! :)

Everything we needed!

Cosy warm home for our whole family. It was a home away from home for us, clean, warm, kitchen supplies were well stocked, drying room was a bonus, the fire was ready to light and a beautiful location close to the four square and shuttles. Easy to communicate with host, we would definitely bring our family back here.
