Great location with a water view. Ideal for exploring the Otago peninsula. The home is comfortable and homely. Traditional kiwi bach (take your own linen and clean etc). We enjoyed our stay and we would stay again.

Fabulous place in the trees.It was lovely being able to light the fire and feel warm and cosy.The host was fantastic at letting us know how to find the bach.Would definitely stay again when visiting Dunedin

Tumeke. Really loved my stay and am really keen to stay again sometime for longer when the weather is a bit nicer as ground conditions were quite muddy and glugy so unfortunately wasn't able to enjoy the surroundings the property also offers due to the recent flooding

This property is beautiful, eccentric, marvellous, and perfect and yet far from perfect.The original builders of this structure built a bespoke design with a flow that goes up and down and around the 2 levels like a circuit.With the lounge fire going, the 2 upstairs bedrooms heated up perfectly.The bird song, even in mid winter is melodious and spell binding.The kitchen and bathroom were roomy and I had made successful home cooked meals every day.Pitfalls and let downs are the front stairs are slippery and the outside stair light doesn’t work.My guests slipped on the stairs, fortunately without mishap.The surrounding garden has been left to go wild and this detracts.A little landscape maintenance would go a long way and the parking area needs a fresh sprinkling of gravel as it was muddy and slippery again! And this is a gem of accomodation in a gem setting.

Thank you so much for the lovely stay. From the moment we walked in we felt we were in a special place. Apart from the full kitchen, bedrooms and the beautiful view of the bay, our favourite room was the library, with the log fire on. Thank you for sharing your house. Wondeful.

So peaceful. Loved the view and the birdsong. It is as described, a bach, cosy, quirky and unique. We needed a a place to hideaway for the night after a challenging day, and this was it. We only stayed one night but could have happily stayed longer.

Charming retreat overlooking Broad Bay

Quiet, spacious holiday home in the countryside. We really enjoyed our time here and immediatly felt at home.
