Alpine getaway

Great (and much needed) weekend away. Really cool place, great atmosphere and a super cool and communicative host. Will happily stay here again.

Weekend Getaway

We had a really good time. We got snow and it was a perfect spot for our kids to play. The cabin was really warm and cozy.

There were only 2 blinds in the cabin. Was told the one in the bunkbed bedroom had been broken by the previous tenant and the owner had not been by to fix it. Foam insulation is an eyesore in the bedroom. There’s also a hole in the door to the bedroom. No electric coffee pot just some old percolator type. Not convenient. Cobwebs on the outside porch area. It just really needs an update. The stairs to the loft are really steep. I wouldn’t stay there again even though the host was very responsive.

Family Fishing

Property was well kept and very clean. Easy to check in and even allowed us to check in early. Comfortable and had everything we needed to cook meals and even gas for the grill. Water was hot for showers and dishes. Really enjoyed it. Would stay again for sure! Thank you!

Rustic Cabin Retreat

This cabin was really great for a family getaway with my wife and teenage son. We had all the amenities we needed. The wood stove in the living room was a great way to heat the cabin - the whole place was toasty after ~90 minutes and stayed warm all night, even when the temps outside were close to freezing. The cabin is less than five minutes away from the main strip of Alpine, but it was always dark and quiet at night. There were even some elk grazing across the street! We really enjoyed our stay here.

I wanted to spend some time with my 3 sons and a couple of my grandsons. This property was a perfect fit. There was plenty of space for us to spread out and relax. The bedrooms were comfortable, and the kitchen had everything that we needed to make our meals. We saw some deer and other wildlife stroll past the cabin; in fact, the area was abundant in wildlife. I have never seen so many elk in one place before. All in all, we had a great time and are considering a future return.

Disappointed

We were super excited to stay at this cabin by the pictures we saw online. Upon entering a strong smell of animal urine wafted through the cabin, which was particularly strong upstairs. Bring an eye mask if you plan on sleeping, because the upstairs as the photo illustrates does not have window coverings, and the shade on the bedroom downstairs was ripped. The bath room was nasty. The tub was stained, the caulking was coming off, and the shower curtain liner was dirty and needs replacing. I contacted the manager and was told “I didn’t have time to replace the ripped shade or the dirty bedspread.” This cabin was a huge disappointment. and looked nothing like the photos presented. It needs a serious cleaning and all broken and dirty items should have been repaired prior to allowing anyone to stay. There was no pride of ownership in this listing and should never have been rented out in the condition it was, especially for the price we paid.

We followed up with the owner, who would like to address the following:- We take cleanliness very seriously and, upon inspection, did not detect any lingering odors, but we’ll continue to monitor closely to ensure this is not an issue for future guests.- The home features skylights for natural light, which some guests love, though we understand your preference for window coverings and will review options to enhance privacy and comfort.- The downstairs curtain was unfortunately damaged by a prior guest and could not be replaced before your arrival; this has since been addressed.We appreciate your comments as they help us identify areas for improvement and ensure better experiences moving forward.

Booked for two night, stayed one. Looks better in the photos. Could not use the grill or back porch due to cleanliness. Missing window covering on window with a view to the neighbor's house. Kitchen was well stocked with cooking utensils. Great location on the edge of town. Broke a wine glass and left 10. No coffee pot for me to brew my own coffee. Washer/dryer a plus.
