This was the best cabin ever, we stayed here from aug 15th to aug 20th 2026, the host was fast to respond to any of our questions and was very informative of everything we needed to know about their cabin, the cabin and property is beautiful well maintained, has everything you need, all we had to do was to bring all our groceries, and personal belongings, We would stay here again,

Cabin was perfect for a peaceful, restful and cool getaway in the mountains. The large front porch was our favorite spot for morning coffee and evening relaxation. The host provided all the essentials and we, and especially our dog, loved the large fenced backyard.

What a fantastic stay! Beautiful home, great location! Clean, comfortable, Really great for pets with the fenced yard and a gate on the front porch. So many little touches that go a long way: blankets for doggies, kindling and such for fireplace. Lots of wildlife in the area. Close enough to a town to get supplies or other things to do, yet far enough out it feels remote. There really wasn't anything missing! Our hosts are really great at doing this. We wish we had booked to stay longer, and will next time!

We needed a get away from heat of Phoenix and busy lives. This is the most peaceful quiet retreat. The porch is the greatest place to sit and watch the birds and squirrels and decompress. The host was so helpful with incredible tips of what to do in the area and the home was perfectly stocked with great kitchen appliances and pans etc. We will definitely be back but thoroughly appreciated such an incredible retreat.

Overall, the cabin, Irma’s communication, and location are wonderful. It was off to a rocky start, though, because I wasn’t given the entry code before arrival. Waiting for a response to my texts and calls in the cold and dark was unnerving. I was on the phone with VRBO when Irma called. She apologized profusely. All was terrific after that. The cabin is homey, quiet, and nicely decorated. Her information packet and directions were very helpful. I enjoyed my stay and would definitely return.

One of the best equipped vacation rentals we have stayed at over the past decade of going to the Alpine/Nutrioso area for the 4th of July. The property is great, great space and fenced in backyard. Awesome to enjoy the outside and let your furry friend walk around outside. AC is a plus…

Alma and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Everything was excellent and we can’t say enough about it. From the perfect location to get around the area to the very warm and comfortable Cabin! Irma was awesome and when we needed to reach her she responded almost instantly.We truly had a relaxing time that was much needed.Even our dogs didn’t want to leave Definitely recommend

The cabin was clean and comfortable and the hosts were very communicative and prompt in all the things they did. We loved our stay here. It is a beautiful area, a beautiful home and definitely would stay here again.

Loved this property! King bed was amazingly comfortable. My 8 year old loved this cabin! Says it was the best one she has stayed in. But my family and I loved the cabin and property as a whole. Very cozy feel! Will definitely get this cabin again.

Absolutely wonderful and Erma was an amazing and generous host. We loved the fenced yard and front and back porches. Erma even left us a personal anniversary gift — way beyond the call. Cabin was cozy and comfortable. We’d definitely stay again.

The peaceful fourth

The property is beautiful. The environment is peaceful. It was the perfect getaway for our family trying to escape the noise of the Fourth of July weekend. The owners were lovely and easy to get a hold of for any needs.

Great property A 50 herd of Elk came through yesterday afternoon on both sides of the cabin.Now I understand why your property fence is down on the south end of the property

My husband and I stayed in this wonderful cabin from 8/10 - 8/14 to get out of the Tucson heat and do some fishing. The fishing wasn't great, but the cabin was. It was a fabulous experience from beginning to end. The owner/host was very responsive and tremendously helpful. The cabin was very, clean, neat and tidy and comfortable. It has a fenced back yard which our dogs loved. The people in town were very friendly. We highly recommend this wonderful home. We will return in the future. Thank you again to our host.

Family Getaway

We enjoyed our stay at this cabin. The home is tucked into the forest yet close enough to enjoy nearby attractions. We went on the Casa Malpais ruins tour, fishing at multiple spots (the best was Big Lake) and even went up to the ski resort. While in the cabin we were supplied with ample games and books, the atmosphere was cozy with candles in every room. There was even a 'just in case' basket which held items often overlooked while leaving home, this was a very nice touch. We took our dogs who enjoyed the fenced in back yard and walks around the property.Irma was quick with communication before and during our trip.

The stay itself was amazing! The cabin is beautiful the weather was perfect! It was easy to find! The host made it easy to communicate with however we noticed that the cabin was pet friendly so we assumed we could bring our little 20 lb cockapoo. She doesn’t really shed but when the cleaning team came in they said they found some black hair and yes she is black. So to our surprise we were charged 100 pet cleaning fee. Not mentioned in the initial information regarding the cabin. Had we known that we would have chosen a different cabin or left our dog at home. But we were looking for a cabin in which she was welcome.
