One of our all time favorites. The pictures only hint at how incredible this place is. Inside is great, quality details and authentic Mediterranean style with some lovely features. Outside is marvelous - the views, the hundreds of singing birds, the privacy.

George and Birgit were amazing hosts. There was a slight communication mix up to which they responded promptly and kindly. Needless to say the property was truly a slice of heaven. We felt like we were in Tuscany. The pickle ball court with lights was a blast. Sitting out on the Adirondack chairs either enjoying a morning cup of coffee or a glass of wine in the evening looking out over lake Melones Lake was truly a highlight for us. Thank you for making this beautiful property available to us.

IT’S ALL ABOUT THE VIEW!!Absolutely incredible views from every window in the casita!The shimmering lake, the “Tucson Style” rolling hills and vast vineyard views were truly breathtaking! The casita itself couldn’t have been more perfect.The kitchen was well equipped. Making it very easy to cook a few meals.The bed was super comfortable. And again, those views, even from the bed. It rained a few days during our trip, but we actually loved just sitting on the couch and looking out at the lake, the bridge and the beautiful clouds. We also had the great pleasure of meeting Johnny, the property manager. He was a wealth of information. He filled us in on local history and even where to eat. He was so knowledgeable, interesting, friendly and helpful. Overall, we felt like royalty and enjoyed ourselves immensely. Can’t wait to come back! Thank you George…

Great stay. Loved it. There were small things to be taken of. Garbage disposal didn't work. Shower water flow was very slow to take effective shower. Coffee machine didn't work either. Small things to be taken care of for a beautiful place to spend a getaway.

Great stay

Great home on a great property. Outstanding views of the lake on one side and rolling hills of vineyards on the other. Host Ghee was great. We highly recommend.

What an incredible Casita. The views from all the windows are spectacular. It is very quiet there. Just the birds singing. The vineyards are so lovely and it was nice to see the fall colors starting. The owner George is very easy to communicate with and his staff is helpful. A peaceful stay in a beautiful place.

This was our second time staying here. We stayed a week and the Casita had all the provisions we needed. It’s a great place to unplug from the world.

Stunningly beautiful place of respite

We loved our stay at this beautiful "Casita". The setting, architecture and appointments are stunning. This far exceeded our expectations and our need for a quiet place of respite. And the owner was very attentive to our needs. We felt like honored guests.

Beautiful views, lovely casita

We enjoyed our stay at the Casita. Perfect for three friends (one on the sofa bed). The views of the lake and vineyard, refreshing pool and friendly property manager, Bruce, all made our stay a perfect getaway. Buck, the dog was a bonus, we enjoyed visiting with him! Would highly recommend.

Quiet, peaceful getaway

We were looking for a quiet place to relax. This little casita was definitely perfect. Enjoyed the amazing view and had everything we needed for a nice relaxing weekend! Enjoyed a hike and walking through historic Columbia. Owners were very friendly and welcoming! Enjoyed pickleball on our own private court! Would definitely return!

Fantastic Getaway Spot!

This Casita is a must stay. Great little house with all you need to enjoy a relaxing getaway. Bed and linens were very comfortable and the kitchen was well appointed. Best part by far was the living room / patio with views out to the lake. Truly a fantastic spot to sit with a nice bottle of wine and enjoy the view. George and his caretakers were very friendly with good communication.

Relaxing and beautiful

We had a great time staying here. The Kaseeta is located on top of the hill, overlooking a rose for one side and vineyards on the other. It was the perfect place for us to relax and enjoy the beauty of the area. Loved all the hummingbirds feasting on the trees and plants right next to the house. Very convenient to all of the gold rush towns of the area. Big trees state park was one of our most enjoyable locations while we were here. Only update we’d suggest is the TVs, but with views like this who needs a TV?
