Summary:
Colibri #9 is a newly renovated, two-bedroom unit located in the safe, secure, and easily accessible Las Palmas community. This stunning unit is within walking distance from the beach, shopping, and dining in Coco, making it the perfect launching point for your vacation in Guanacaste!

The Space:
This 840-square-foot (77.9 square meters) ground-floor unit has two bedrooms, three bathrooms, a living room, and a kitchen. The entire home was renovated in 2024 with brand-new furniture, modern appliances, comfortable linens, beautiful decor, and local artwork that reflects the “pura vida” lifestyle of Costa Rica.

The primary bedroom has a queen-sized bed and an ensuite bathroom, and the guest bedroom has a queen-sized bed. The living room has a brand-new television and natural wood furniture that has been locally designed in Costa Rica. The renovated kitchen offers updated cabinets, flooring, and appliances, including an oven, stovetop, and double-door refrigerator, for a sophisticated, modern feel. The breakfast bar in the kitchen comfortably seats five guests.

The unit’s back patio opens from the kitchen and is enclosed with a bamboo screen to create a serene, private outdoor living space. It features a wooden dining set that seats six and a brand-new BBQ grill. The front patio opens to a lush, beautiful garden that is steps away from the community’s pristine swimming pool and parking spaces, which are shared with guests from the 12 other units in the complex.

If you’d like to bring a small dog, please plan to pay a pet deposit and an additional cleaning fee.

Pet-friendly policy

We welcome your furry friends at our property! Before you book, each pet must be verified and approved based on breed and size (max 35 lbs.), accompanied by a recent photo. A refundable pet fee of $200 per stay, along with an additional cleaning fee of $50 + 13% per pet, is required to ensure our home remains pristine for all guests. We allow up to two pets per reservation. Pets must be kept on a leash at all times in public areas within the property grounds. Certain properties and complexes may have specific rules and registration requirements. Pets need to be verified at least 24 hours prior to check-in. If guests arrive at check-in with unverified pets, access to the property will be denied.
Owners are responsible for their pets' behavior and any damages incurred. Pets should not be left unattended within the property. For any questions or further details about our pet policy, feel free to contact us!

Colibri #9 is located in El Coco, a lively beach town in Guanacaste that is only 25–30 minutes from the Liberia International Airport. The unit is within walking distance from the nearest beach, Playas del Coco, and is close to shopping, restaurants, coffee shops, farmers markets, and beach clubs in El Coco.

Playas del Coco is a popular spot for horseback riding on the beach and sportfishing. It is a launching point for snorkeling and scuba diving at the Bat Islands or Catalina Islands.

Playas del Coco
This big town/little city on Costa Rica’s Gold Coast has it all, starting with a gorgeous, blue-green bay dotted with fishing boats, dive boats and sailboats offering sunset tours.
In front of the popular beach is a winding promenade with a basketball court and skate park, and the area is rich in hotels, restaurants, bars and stores catering to every need.
Known for its vibrant nightlife as much as its chill pace, Playas del Coco claims to have been the first beach town in Guanacaste reachable by road. Its proximity to the Liberia airport is a plus, and it’s even closer to the nearby beach towns of Ocotal and Hermosa.
On weekend nights on the main drag, live music and DJ beats pour out of the popular Zi Lounge and Coconutz restaurants (among others).
Coco is home to an upscale Auto Mercado grocery store, the exclusive Pacifico resort community and much more. Many foreigners have come to visit and never left. You can often find these happily aging expats swapping tales at the big rubber tree in front of Bambú Beach Front Bar, or just watching the world go by from one of the open-air bars downtown.

Getting Around:

For short jaunts to nearby towns or beaches, golf carts are a popular choice for convenient mobility. Alternatively, you can opt for a bicycle to navigate the town and its surroundings.

In addition, we can arrange hassle-free airport transfers for your convenience. If you prefer the ease of having a rental car waiting for you at your property, we offer complimentary delivery services. Relax and enjoy the scenic drive from the airport to your destination in our private van.

While taxis are available, they may be somewhat challenging to find. Many locals rely on buses for transportation, although there is a limited selection of routes and schedules. Private shuttles are an excellent choice for reaching nearby destinations, and numerous tour companies offer transportation to and from their tours.

Special Places of Costa Rica is committed to protecting our properties and keeping up-to-date with short-term rental regulations, which is why you will be asked to complete our independent verification.
