I have stayed at this and other units in the Hatteras Villas multiple times going back over 10 years. This unit was always a favorite in the past. Unfortunately this particular unit is very much in need of some upgrades and renevations. The bed and mattress in the bedroom I think is the same one that has been their for those 10 or more years and needs upgrading. The A/C in the bedroom is definately barely working and needs replacing. It really struggled to keep that space cool when it was 90 degrees or more and very humid. ( This is coming from a 45 year long retired HVAC professional. ) Because of the Villas location in the wonderful little town of Hatteras Village I do hope to return to stay at the villas. Untill renovations are done to this unit I will have to try staying at a different unit. The stores, restaurants, charter fishing, and a cute little Tiki bar in walking distance is also a real plus!
