Great for 2 couples as bedrooms at the opposite end of the house. Very modern bathrooms and very useable

Good in a very quiet location, since you’re in a neighborhood there’s not much around. We had to uber everywhere, which wasn’t an issue but this would be a better spot if you had your own car. The beds were super comfortable and we loved having access to laundry after the beach days. The master shower / bath set up was odd without a shower curtain, it’s more like a wet room! The one room with the big comfy couch smelled like dog. Next time we would stay in a different location since we didn’t have a car.

I loved this place. It was quiet, clean and felt close enough to the Esplanade but far enough from the busy CBD. I enjoyed my stay here and would definitely book again. A friend and I were able to grab public transport a quick walk from the house with made exploring Cairns much easier.

I loved the pet friendly yard, the pool was good. Each of the bedrooms were very private with their own bathroom. The couch in the lounge room was the most comfortable piece of furniture I have ever curled up on. A short walk away from the Esplanade and a pet friendly Cafe called Mayhem at Machans.

We really enjoyed our stay here as it was the perfect location for our needs. The house has plenty of character and is spacious. Thank you for having us.

The house is clean and comfortable with beautiful decor and space. The kitchen had all the appliances for cooking. The host Isabel was kind and responsive to our quiry. It is dog friendly. We had a fantastic stay with our two dogs. Value for money and highly recommended.

Home was quintessential Machans Beach style. We found it very much to our liking. The main bedroom was very comfortable - great bed, slept great. We appreciated the Kuranda Conservation framed bin sticker - our daughter volunteers there. Excellent kitchen.

The property was excellent. It was clean, tidy and fun. The one hiccup was that the LED light over the bed would not turn off and not dim sufficiently to allow us to sleep. We had to climb up on a chair on the bed to cover the light with paper.However, after being screamed at by your representative (employee?) Isabell, and subject to unpleasant emails from her, we will not use Stayz again and would not recommend the service.Chris Gallus

Thank you for your feedback, Chris. We’re glad to hear you found the property clean, tidy, and enjoyable. We’d like to clarify a few points regarding your stay. The LED light over the bed is operated by a dimmer switch and was tested before and after your visit, confirming it was functioning correctly. Unfortunately, we found new marks on the ceiling consistent with attempts to cover the light, which will need repair (patch and paint) Your booking also included an unapproved pet and checkout was well past the agreed time. While we understand that issues can arise during a stay, we expect communication to remain respectful — as is the case with 99% of our valued guests, who treat both our properties and our team with courtesy. We always strive to offer a welcoming experience, and thank you for your understanding.
