Cozy cabin 5/5

Great cozy stay my fam bam enjoyed it. The kids really liked the loft upstairs. Every porch has a nice view front,side, and back yard. Super close to stores and lake :)

We had a wonderful stay at this cabin. It was exactly as described — a little funky in the best way and a whole lot of fun. The amenities were great; we especially appreciated the coffee maker and tea kettle, and the beds were super comfy. The TV had just about every streaming app you could need, which made winding down easy.The cabin sits on a quiet street and is walkable (or a very short drive) to restaurants and bars — special shout‑out to the Mt. Lassen Club, a fantastic local spot with incredibly friendly people. Chester is also just a quick drive from Lassen Volcanic National Park, where we spent our days exploring the many hiking options and returned to town life in the evenings.Really enjoyed our stay. Thanks!

Comfortable, homey stay for our exploration of Lassen NP and surrounding areas. It was great to have a kitchen to make simple meals to start and end the days. Plenty of room for our family of 4. My kids loved the fairy lights and having their own space in the loft. There was also a spacious and green backyard available. Parking right in front of the house. Host was responsive.

Cute home with decks on the front porch and the back. Front porch was perfect to just sit and relax and read a book.

This home is just the ticket for a comfortable stay near Lassen National Park. We used the kitchen for most of our meals and found it to have all we needed for the two of us. It was quiet and very dark at night. We loved sitting out on the front porch and eating out in the back deck. Bed was comfy!!! Will stay here again if we find ourselves in Chester again.

The house was very well kept. There was attention to the details needed to make you feel welcome in the home. Coffee pods, towels placed out for use, and space to put your things away. The front deck had nice chairs to sit in and there was plenty of parking. The instructions for use of the place were simple and helpful. The host was very responsive. Enjoyable stay!

Launch point to Lassen!

My son and I had a wonderful time at this property. It was priced amazingly and gave us the necessary flexibility for our vacation. We were in town to hike Lassen. While we had a little drive every morning into the park, it was WELL worth it to have such a nice place to stay. We enjoyed having our own room (unlike in a hotel) and the kitchen was well stocked with basics (ziploc bags, plastic wrap, and SPICES!!). There was much more room than we needed. The loft area was very nice and since it was up a set of stairs, still very private.

House was good. We found the backdoor and windows unlocked, but once secured, everything was fine. Bring your own toiletries as they were not available as listed. Everything else was fine.

Difficult to find switches and lights. 3:30a Both nights something hit the bedroom window waking me.

Thanks for your feedback! Light switches are located by the entryways of each room, but we’ll look at making that clearer for future guests. Since we’re in a forested area, it’s possible for critters like bats to occasionally bump into windows, though we do our best to keep everything comfortable. We appreciate your comments and the chance to improve.
