Tiny Vista Cabin | Big Forest | Private Sauna
↟ A private off-grid cabin for two, tucked into 200 acres of Ontario forest.
Wake slowly to birdsong and morning light. Cook over a wood fire. Warm up in your private cedar sauna. Wander old forest trails, gather around the fire, and look up at a sky free from city lights.
Vista Cabin East is a tiny 150-square-foot cabin designed around a simple idea: less noise, more time.
Set on 200 private acres near Round Lake in Ontario’s Ottawa Valley, this is a place to step away from the pace of everyday life and settle into something quieter.
THE VISTA EXPERIENCE
Vista isn’t about having more things.
It’s about having more space, more privacy, more time together, and fewer distractions.
There are no nearby neighbours, no television and no Wi-Fi. Instead, there are quiet mornings, long walks, fire-lit evenings, stars overhead and the freedom to spend an entire day doing very little.
For couples and solo travellers who want to slow down, disconnect and reconnect, Vista offers an experience that feels increasingly rare.
YOUR TINY CABIN
At 150 square feet, Cabin East is small by design.
The space is thoughtfully arranged for two, with everything you need for a comfortable stay while keeping the forest at the centre of the experience.
• Queen loft bed
• Quality cotton bedding
• Wood-fired cookstove
• Kitchenette with basic cooking supplies
• Solar lighting
• Portable power station for charging small devices
• Cozy sitting area
• Private deck
• Campfire area
• Composting toilet
Open the windows and the forest becomes part of the cabin.
YOUR PRIVATE FOREST SAUNA
One of the defining parts of the Vista experience is your private wood-fired cedar sauna.
Heat the sauna yourself, step outside into the forest air, cool down beneath the trees, then return to the warmth.
In warmer months, enjoy the seasonal outdoor hot-water shower as well.
It’s simple, private and entirely yours.
200 ACRES TO EXPLORE
Your stay includes access to 200 acres of private forest.
Follow old logging trails. Discover historic stone fences left by earlier generations. Watch for deer, wild turkeys, foxes and songbirds.
Or don’t go anywhere at all.
One of the best things about Vista is having enough space that you can choose your own pace.
At night, the absence of nearby development and overhead power lines creates wonderfully dark skies for stargazing.
ROOTED IN PLACE
Vista is part of land with a long family history.
The property was originally settled by Amanda’s Polish ancestors after immigrating to Canada in the 1800s. Today, Vista continues that connection to the land through a slower, more intentional approach to hospitality.
This isn’t a resort.
It’s a small cabin in a big forest, created to give people room to breathe.
THE OTTAWA VALLEY
Vista is located near Killaloe and Round Lake, in Ontario’s Madawaska Valley.
You’re within driving distance of:
• Round Lake
• Bonnechere Provincial Park
• Golden Lake
• Bonnechere Caves
• Algonquin Provincial Park
• Killaloe, Wilno and Barry’s Bay
You can spend the day exploring the Ottawa Valley and return to your own private forest at night.
GOOD TO KNOW
Vista is intentionally off-grid.
There is:
• No Wi-Fi
• Limited cellular service depending on your provider
• Solar-powered lighting
• A portable power station for charging small electronics
• A composting toilet
• A seasonal outdoor hot-water shower
