Family Oriented waterfront Log Cabin with hot tub

As experienced Super Hosts we are thrilled to welcome you and your family to our 4 season 1,400 sq ft log cabin with 152 ft frontage on a shallow sandy bottomed bay leading into Golden Lake. Enjoy the jet tub in the main bathroom. Beyond the 2 bedrooms, there is also an open concept loft that holds 2 twin and 2 double beds - great for teenagers. Enjoy the covered patio overlooking the river, fire pit, with usage of kayaks , paddle boards, and canoe. Close to home of Beaver Tails-Killaloe, ON.
Frozen River is perfect for Ice Fishing and making your own skating rink, location is close to Snowmobile Trails and community skating rink - just 10 min from cottage.
There are exterior motion sensor cameras on-site for security when no-one is on-site showing all entrances to cottage. Please note: Hot Tub is not visible to neighbors.

We had an amazing stay and would absolutely come back! The cottage is beautiful, comfortable, and incredibly well equipped. We loved spending our days on the water and our evenings around the fire and relaxing in the hot tub.The property is peaceful, private, and even better in person than the photos. Andrea and Diane clearly put a lot of thought into making the cottage feel welcoming.Highly recommended!

This was simply a gorgeous cabin with every amenity, clean, spacious, beautiful and so comfortable. The hosts were incredible and outlined all that was included plus check ins to ensure we had everything we needed. We are already booking a next stay and cannot wait to spend more time here! Just a fabulous place. Thank you for sharing your amazing place!

Wonderful Trip

This cottage was clean, kitchen was super well equipped and the view was beautiful, what more could you ask for? The owners were a pleasure as well. Would highly recommend.

Bonnechere River Cottage

Great modern cottage. Two bedrooms on main floor were roomy and comfortable. Easy to access the cottage from the main roads. Owners responded quickly to any questions about the stay. Overall a great stay.

Thanksgiving Weekend

We had great experience in staying on Golden Lake log cabin. Very clean, everything you need to make our stay comfortable. Especially the addition of the six person hot tub. We would definitely come back.

Waterfront vacation property on the Bonnechere River

It was wonderful to return to Canada. It’s been since 2019 since we were able to travel to this destination. The rental home was just exactly what we were looking for and in a great location. The rental had everything we needed and more. It was a wonderful relaxing time away!

Family vacation 2025

This lake house log cabin is absolutely beautiful! This is our second stay here and it was even better than the first! In addition to the sauna that we all loved… they now have an added gorgeous hot tub! The property is stunning.. the lake is right outside the door and it has all the amenities anyone could ask for. Thank you again for a perfect week by the lake! Our hosts were so accommodating and were available with any questions we had. We will be returning!!

The property and home are beautiful. The kitchen was well stocked. Beds were comfortable. Unfortunately, we did not feel safe on the stairs to the loft so we did not use this space. But to be fair, we were warned about the stairs before our request to book was accepted.

Father/ Sons snowmobile trip.

Arrived to find a beautiful and spotless log cabin with plenty of parking for trucks and trailers. Lots of room for 6 of us and room to spare. Cabin was spacious, clean and had everything we needed. Andrea and Diane were great to deal with and quick to reply to any questions or concerns we had. We all enjoyed our visit and will be considering a return trip in the future.

Peaceful setting

We needed a quiet weekend away…with a hot tub! The Log Cabin delivered in spades. Andrea and Diane couldn’t have been more helpful with our last minute plans. The Cabin is well stocked and nicely appointed…and the hot tub was great! Nice touch of the ping pong table that helped out when it was raining. Highly recommended for a peaceful stay on a beautiful part of the Bonnechere River…did I mention the hot tub?

Incredible Trip!

My husband and I and our 5 adult kids (and 2 dogs) had the most incredible week at this gorgeous Log Cabin home on the Lake. Our Superhosts were incredible and answered us right back anytime we messaged them. The House is beautiful! Has everything you could possibly want right there for you. It was so clean and homey… we hated to leave! We will for sure be going back next year!! Highly recommend this property… best stay ever! Thank you Andrea and Diane!

Perfect waterfront cottage getaway

Such a fantastic stay! Very accommodating booking, attentive to any questions. Arrival was simple. The cottage beautifully clean, well maintained. Many options for lake activities. My wife and myself enjoying our daily canoe excursions and appreciated the different types of birds. The lake view unobstructed and calming. Not too deep. We all enjoyed a wonderful holiday with our family and thank our hosts for sharing their beautiful property and making us feel welcome.

Winter Cabin

Had a great experience staying at the Cabin. It's a true log home, with warm finishes that will comfort you. Kitchen is well stocked with what you need to cook with. We had no problem making pizza, eggs for breakfast, grilled cheese, or pancakes on the last day. Our son enjoyed the toys in the loft and exploring, while our daughter loved the sauna. Bathrooms are a great size, and bedrooms were comfortable. Everyone enjoyed the hot tube at night, and there was plenty of games to play with the kids. The place has wifi and streaming, but we enjoyed the nostalgia of watching a DVD instead. The whole are is very quiet during the winter and really added to the solitude. Hosts were very helpful, answered all questions and responded very quickly.

Paradise

First of all, communication with Diane and Andrea A+. They answered questions promptly and were clear in their responses. They were friendly, generous and understanding. The property is fantastic and well taken care of. It's a wonderful place to relax. My favorite places to have quiet time were on the dock with my morning coffee, at night around the campfire looking at the stars. On the porch overlooking the lake and of course in the hot tub! It's a great place to bring a family too. There is enough space to spread out and everyone can do their own thing and it's great in the open concept living room(with fireplace) kitchen and dining area to spend time together. It's a modern home with a rustic country feel. From beginning to end this was a great experience and am grateful for the chance to stay! Thank you Diane and Andrea for sharing this beautiful part of Ontario with us.

Small family of 4 with 2 cats. Dad shares his love of the outdoors and ensures we know and try all the fun and enjoyment that can be had there - chopping wood, ATV rides, Sitting by the Fire, Exploring the woods. Mom brings the family in to relax by the fire and play boardgames, bake and movie watching. Kids keep mom and dad busy as kids tend to do!

Neighbor hood has all age ranges, each property unique, very welcoming neighbors from day one! Its a mix of properties just being used as cottage, and some live there full time. Gives us a great insight into what it will be like when we hopefully move up in 10 years time full time!
There's enough interaction so it doesn't feel like you are alone, but also enough so you can enjoy just your own family and property.
The view of the River from the porch with your coffee in hand, the sunset from the dock or gazebo while sitting by the fire at the end of the day, the view of the small mountain across the river. The stars on a clear night along with the sounds of the loons!

Its far enough tucked away to enjoy some quiet time together to connect as a family with all the enjoyment that can be found.. outdoors on and in the river - kayak, canoe, a good game of soccer, sitting by the fire looking at stars. Indoors playing board games, cards, watching a movie, a good game of Ping Pong; separate spaces for both adults and kids to enjoy! The big covered porch big enough for the whole family to sit on and enjoy the view of anything happening outside on the big front lawn and river.
