We absolutely loved everything about this! Plenty of room to explore the property, the beach and so much more! The six of us immediately felt right at home. The host was very responsive to any questions or concerns we had. If you enjoy cooking, the kitchen as well stocked. We would love to come back again next year!

Beautiful home, comfy and cozy. It was well stocked with all the cooking tools you might need along with the coffee and tea station.The communication was fantastic through the whole process. We will stay here again!

It would be good to have a larger bed on the main floor, otherwise everything was good.

Thank you for staying with us, John! We're happy to know you enjoyed your time at West Beach Cottage and Orcas Island. Our cottage is a historic timepiece when homes were smaller and uniquely crafted. Our Scandinavian built-in canopy bed dates back to the original owners from the 1940's. Its size equals a modern-day queen bed. The current owners value the unique qualities it brings, and we hope our future guests also find the island's history and craftsmanship of value. Unfortunately, some things cannot be easily swapped out. :)

I have to say that the kitchen and all the amenities in the kitchen was the winner. Best of any VRBO I have stayed at . Not to mention the layout of the home , the comfortable couches , the excellent hot tub , the deck, the view ….

This was the perfect place to stay for Thanksgiving for a group of 7--it was cozy with fantastic views, very well-accommodated (we cooked our entire Thanksgiving meal in the kitchen!), and tucked away in a sleepier part of the island. The bedrooms were big and comfortable, there were multiple places to sit and read a book or enjoy a meal, and the hot tub was perfect for the chilly, rainy days. Sherri was very communicative during our stay. I can't recommend this place enough!

Wow what an amazing home! Everything we needed and wanted for our stay was here. The beach was sandy and walkable in both directions. The out door space with the grill and fire table were perfect each evening. And the beds so comfy. Plenty of books and games and the decor was impeccable. Thank you so much for sharing your home with us.

Such a magical place and what a view! Felt like an old family cottage that has been in the family for generations. So many nice touches, from the well-stocked kitchen to the relaxing hot tub on the expansive deck. The weather was gorgeous, so we were able to spend a lot of time out on the deck - and if it got a little chilly, we’d just kick on the propane fire table. A perfect place to spend our anniversary with the kids. Very convenient to Eastsound, but far enough away to be very private. Sherri, the host, was easily contacted and responsive, but let us be unless we needed something. Will definitely try to make it back sometime (maybe for another anniversary?).

We expected a nice property but were blown away with the serenity, beauty and privacy of this house. We spent a week here and everyday we woke up to a peaceful morning in nature and every evening we experienced magical evening light and unforgettable sunsets while watching the sea birds and seals just off shore. Thank you for sharing your special property with us. We also highly recommend contacting Kenmore Aviation for a seaplane tour and visiting other islands with them. The beauty of the San Juan’s from the air is incredible and it’s a short flight to Victoria BC.

Beautiful location for a week on the island with our group of 8! We loved the spacious home, comfortable deck with views, hot tub, easy walk down to the beach, and gorgeous sunsets! The kitchen was very well appointed for nightly cooking. We also had kayaks delivered to the house and got to use them every day .

Great house. Beautiful setting. Beds were a little rickety. For the price, would have been nice to include a few kayaks to access the water. Sheri confirmed this was not included beforehand and we rented elsewhere.

This home is gorgeous. We loved it and want to come back. The kitchen is so well stocked with tools and equipment. It was immaculate, had comfy beds, and a plethora of towels. The deck is incredible and we had such fun exploring the beach. The sunsets are to die for, and we loved it that we could watch the shipping lanes and identify which tankers were passing. Great location on Orcas, but still so very private.

Beautiful, comfortable house and the views!! Everything was just as described, and more. The house was spotless, beds were great. The kitchen was very well equipped We loved being outside enjoying the deck area, fire pit in the evening, lovely landscaped yard and trail to the beach. And the beach chairs, too! Communication with Sherri was super fast and easy. We want to go back!

Loved this house, especially the deck, the super clean and spacious hot tub, the large kitchen and the beach access. Only downside was that it was listed as dog friendly, but when we got there all the bedrooms had signs saying no dogs allowed. Would have been good to know this ahead of time.
