The description can't possibly convey how peaceful and beautiful the property and house are. The view is amazing and being able to walk down to the community beach was a bonus.

This was a family gathering from all over the country. It was a wonderful place to stay and enjoy visiting with each. Very nice home. Great furnishings. Great base for just hanging out, walking to the beach, heading to whale watching, or serious hiking Moran State Park.

What a lovely home in an amazing location! We enjoyed easy access to the beach each morning at low tide. Then right into town for lunch and walking around. Relaxing on the deck with a book during the afternoon or at night to see the stars was absolute perfection.We shared the home with a second family and having one on each floor gave us enough privacy while still enjoying the communal spaces together as well.We highly recommend you consider this home for your next Orcas Island visit!

I would like to thank the owner of this house for having such a beautiful home and property! Within minutes of us entering the home we knew we would be renting this again! We have rented many VRBO‘s and this one came equipped with absolutely everything you could need! Comforting, warm and welcome! I will definitely recommend this home to anybody looking to rent in the area! Again, thank you so much!

Fantastic stay with friends

We had such a great time here. The house was very clean, with plenty of books, games, puzzles, etc for entertainment. We loved the stunning views. We would definitely stay here again, the proximity to the town was great!

Thank you for a wonderful setting to gather with friends. It was easy to get to Eastsound on foot or by car. The house had everything we needed, from the kitchen to extra towels. Everything was exceptionally clean. Thank you for an enjoyable stay!

Perfect Memorial Day Stay

The house was set up perfect for our group with lots of sleeping areas and extra things around the house to use. Waking up to the ocean view and watching the sunset nightly was amazing.

We had such a wonderful time! The location, view and comfort of home were 5 star! My two grown sons did morning and evening cold plunges at the beach, and sunsets were incredible! Kitchen had everything we could possible need and more! Thank you for the great communication and beautiful stay. Great memories!

For many generations our families enjoyed coming to Orcas Island for vacations. In the early 90’s we decided to build a home and raise our family here. We had 5 homeschooled kids who loved having the beach as their classroom and doing their part in helping build our home. If you look closely you will notice some creative touches that they added to the house! We are now empty nesters and have moved on to a smaller home in the woodland area of Orcas. We are excited to share The Nest with other families. We love tourists because they see our island with fresh eyes and are awed by the beauty all around us. Hundreds of times I have heard people exclaim, "I don't know how you get any dishes washed here, I would just stand and stare out this kitchen window all day!"
Our daughter, Anika, moved back to the island in 2016 to raise her family and is thrilled to be managing her childhood home.
