Host was very responsive and reached out on our first day to make himself known. Excellent value, beautiful back deck/patio combo. Was a bit small for 5 kids plus a dog, but we were maxing out the capacity for sure! No complaints at all, would go again.

Great location to Harpers Ferry/Shepherdstown/Charles Town. Gorgeous area, views, bridges. Can only imagine how great it looks with fall leaves. Enjoyed hummingbirds and seeing deer at dawn/ dusk. Beds comfortable and rooms a decent size. Nice having two full bathrooms. Neighbors invited us to listen to community live music which was very kind.Cons - first impression not great. A dead bird on back porch that had clearly been there for more than a day based on state of remains. One of our towels had a grease stain on it that could not have been missed. Clear stain on the furniture cover on sofa - replace or don't put it on. Decks were one of the main reasons we booked but a couple areas needed cleaning - at least a blast by a leaf blower. Hightop bar had a broken board resting on it surrounded by dirt & leaves - clearly had been there for a while. We understood that rain and wind keep the leaves constant but we felt the owners could have swept the day someone is arriving. One of the ground floor windows was unlocked when we arrived which was unnerving. The decor def is having an identity crisis that was not calming. Maybe spend more time on little things like hooks, towel bars, and mirrors in each room rather than constantly obsessing over the hot tub status. When we booked it didn't advertise a hot tub so we could have cared less. Think about a rack for coats and bags right inside door. Little tweaks make a big difference in elevating the look of the property.
