Located on a secluded 5.3 acre property steps away and overlooking a private 380 ft beach on St. Georges Bay.
• This newly built 2 story cottage is located a few feet from the ocean. It has a large deck in the back with entrance to the second floor, front deck off the main entrance, and a large gazebo overlooking the water.
• To enjoy your stay there are: high speed wireless internet, satellite TV, outdoor fire-pit with fire wood, portable BBQ, kayaks, bicycles, fishing equipment, and outdoor games.
• It is situated 20 minutes East of Antigonish and 20 minutes west of Cape Breton Island.
• Cottage rules: primary renter must be 25 or older, no smoking, no parties or events, pets permitted.

Incredible

We wanted to spend a quiet week on the ocean and visit family in the area. This was an incredible property for our 1 week stay. The private beach is literally a stones throw from the cottage. The gazebo with a picnic table had an amazing 180 degree view of the coastline. Our standard poodle loved the property.

A perfect place to relax and unwind

We had a wonderful time here! The view was spectacular and having access to the ocean so close was heavenly. This cottage has all the amenities you could want to make the most of your time there and enjoy the outdoors. Communication with Steve was exceptional. He was very responsive to any questions we had.

Beautiful and private

My wife, our three children and I stayed here for 7 nights. Its was very comfortable. Private sandy beach and great scenery. The owners were very helpful and pleasant. It was a great time and experience!

A slice of heaven.

What an amazing getaway. We loved staying here. Very secluded and quiet. They had everything we’d want and more, from Kayaks to a washer & dryer. Steve communicated early and often and was a fantastic host. 5 stars all around. Thanks again.

East Coast Treasure

We had a wonderful stay at this quaint little cottage. The property has so much to offer. We enjoyed walks on the beach, campfires, a little fishing, and the boys even took a cold plunge into the ocean. The place was perfect for our Thanksgiving celebration. We enjoyed the tranquility and spectacular views of St. Georges Bay. A huge thanks to Steve who was so wonderful at answering all of my text messages. Your place is quite special!

Gorgeous spot and thoughtful host!

My husband and I (and our dogs) very much enjoyed our stay at this beautiful location on the water! The weather was less than perfect due to the tropical storm that came through, but we were still able to take in the amazing scenery of the area and especially loved biking along the Celtic Shores Coastal Trail out of Port Hawkesbury. Steve was a very caring host, checking on us on a regular basis to make sure we were ok after the storm, and even his neighbors were thoughtful enough to check! We were sad to leave on the final day when the sun finally came out, but it was a great start to our journey to Cape Breton! Thank you again Steve!

Great private location right on the water

We had an amazing week spending time on the beach, swimming, catching mackerel and stripped bass right off shore, searching for shells, and evenings by the fire. Cottage was small but clean and had everything you need. We loved the small charcoal bbq for cooking food right in the beach. Would definitely recommend to others!

Un lieu parfait pour se connecter avec le moment présent

Mon conjoint, notre petit chien et moi avons passé un séjour exceptionnel. Le site est enchanteur, la vue à couper le souffle, le chalet très confortable. Un petit coin de paradis idéal pour recharger ses batteries. Je recommande sans hésitation d’y séjourner.

Rest and relaxation

The property is secluded and spacious and feels very comfortable. Steve was very easy to get a hold of and if anything was ever needed was very helpful in solving the situation. The beach part of the roadway is basically made of rocks but my dodge challenger did fine getting across it. My son and I took advantage of a fishing charter that was mentioned and happened to be available. That does not disappoint either, the guys were friendly helpful and lots of fish were caught it a short period of time. The beach it's self was also made of more rocks than sand so a pair of crocks were very useful. The ocean is shallow in front of the cottage so low tide gave way to some exploring which was pretty cool. I would definitely stay here again.

Le rêve, une réalité

Endroit vraiment formidable! Un paradis pour nos deux Vizsla et pour nous évidemment. La chaumière est très bien équipée, rien n’est manquant. Nous avons adoré la tranquillité, les couches et levés du soleil. Merci pour tout.

Peaceful stay in Tracadie.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this lovely secluded cabin. The cabin is beautiful, clean, and well maintained. Lots of extra emenities and easy to check in and out. Scenic drives to Cape Bretton and Antigonish. Kids loved the yard and beach combing right out the door.

This was the most peaceful vacation we have had in a long, long time. It is rare to find an oceanfront cottage with such privacy. The house was extremely well-appointed, as well, with a full kitchen and laundry to make an extended stay even more comfortable. Our host, Steve, provided excellent info on local dining and provisions. He was intent on our enjoying our stay, and made us feel at home. We travel with our 12-year-old dog, and she was instantly comfortable with the surroundings. She seemed to enjoy her stay as much as we did ours. The only caveat I would offer is to ensure that you have a capable vehicle to handle the rocky causeway to the island; not suitable for a low-clearance vehicle. We would absolutely recommend this property to anyone looking for a quiet oceanside getaway.

Peaceful and quiet getaway

Our stay was truly peaceful and quiet - away from it all. The property was clean and comfortable. We loved the private beach and all of the amenities. Steven was very helpful and accommodating. I hope to make it back.

Loved our stay!

The property was great, Steven communicated upon check in and again during the week to see how things were going. The area was fantastic and the views and quiet surroundings were just what we needed. The property and cottage were well appointed. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Our Much Needed Getaway

We stayed at Steve & Danielle's Secluded Oceanfront Cottage for 4 nights in August. The road in made us question whether or not we were going in the right direction but we continued on and arrived at the beautiful property with breathtaking views and amazing sunsets. Check-in was a breeze and everything was perfect. I was very impressed with how attentive Steve was to our stay and the weather we were having. He made a point of ensuring we arrived alright, gave tips on starting up the fire, where to go for the best sunset views and even offered to contact a local fisherman to take us out fishing or sightseeing. He responded immediately if/and when we had a question. We couldn't have asked for better service from our hosts; they really went above and beyond. The mosquitoes nearly carried us away when we arrived but thankfully Steve and Danielle have bug spray on site. Thank you again for a perfect stay!

Waterfront peaceful retreat

We have very much enjoyed our stay at the cottage. The property is accurately described in the listing and the all process of renting, checking and communicating with the owners was very smooth and efficient. The cottage is well stocked and we had everything we needed to spend a stay enjoyable for us. This is a peaceful retreat in the midst of nature and we liked it so much that we plan to return next year.

A treasure, a relaxing get away with all the amenities

This is a wonderful place to stay. We did not want to leave. A secluded cottage with a private beach with the provision of outdoor games, kayaks, bikes, an outdoor firepit and incredible sunsets. A wonderful family location or just if one wants to escape.
