3 weeks in Nettle Bay
In discussion with the owner we chose to accept a better suited apartment in the adjacent resort La Lagune. It was perfectly situated, nice outdoor patio, quiet, and almost next to the beach. We rented for 3 weeks. The owner was initially quick to respond to questions. The apartment needed a deep clean. There was a layer of dust on the fan in the kitchen that had been there for a while. Food stains on the ceiling in the kitchen. The fan in the kitchen didn't work and never got repaired. The oven didn't work either and didn't get repaired. I suspect these appliances ceased to work due to the numerous power outages during our three week stay.Supplies were also lacking. Can you imagine a French kitchen apartment with no corkscrew! There was no kettle or vegetable peeler. At least these items were supplied when I mentioned it to the owner.A little bit more attention to details would elevate this property to five stars. For example, it would have been nice to have a binder explaining how to get in the pool area, what fob to use to open the secure parking area, WiFi password etc.Of note, a car is needed to go anywhere from here.
