Built in 2014, this home offers breathtaking views of the long & winding Leaf River, a 1-mile sandbar, unlimited sounds of nature & birds singing, as well as peace & quiet. Located 1.8 miles off the blacktop, this getaway allows you to reconnect with nature & re-energize for the daily grind.

This place was secluded, clean and beautiful!! The road in is a little rough but fine as long as you go slow. It was exactly what we were looking for to visit with our daughter who moved to that area. We will definitely be going back 💜💜

We struggled to find the camp. Not necessarily the owners fault but we could have used a few more landmark indicators. We ordered Walmart delivery when we arrived and didn’t leave till check out 3 days later! Enjoyed the water and sandbar! Forgot my fishing rod . Current was too strong to kayak but kayaks are available. Grilled out several times and enjoyed the serenity of the area. A much needed trip that we thoroughly enjoyed!!

This cabin is everything you could want and more. The host is extremely accommodating and the property manager Tammy is so sweet. We appreciate you guys letting us use your spot for the weekend.

Beautiful property, cozy and everything but personal items is pretty much supplied. The kids had a blast and it was so peaceful and quiet.

Quiet, relaxing getaway

While the weather did not allow for kayaking, our trip was excellent! The owner and property manager were very responsive to anything we needed. This is an excellent place for relaxing and lots of fun (weather permitting). We will definitely come back with our grandkids for a kayaking adventure in the spring.

Nice place to get away from it all.

Nice cabin with great view of the Leaf River. The access road is pretty rough. Definitely come in a truck or crossover with good ground clearance. Thanks for sharing your quiet place!

Hidden Gem

This place is off the beaten path but what a wonderfully hidden gem for enjoying family and friends. We had an amazing weekend just playing games, sitting by the river, cooking out, enjoying the fire pit, and rocking on the back porch. This was a perfect getaway for our group of 4. Just rustic enough to feel like we were camping but with all of the amenities needed to feel like home. We can't wait to find another weekend we can come stay again.

Great one-night stay

Scotty was able to accommodate our group of friends last-minute when we had a change of plans due to hurricane Sally. His home and property were perfect and we had a wonderful stay. Scotty was very communicative and easy to reach whenever we had a question. We spent time on the “beach” by the river and just enjoyed our time together in the home. Will definitely return with my family/kids in the future!

A REAL CABIN,..IN THE WOODS!!

I can't say enough good things about this property. Location is a perfect picture. The huge porch and view is serene any time of day. The huge sand bars of the river are great for exploring and relaxing. My visit was early spring so the water was kinda cold. Or maybe I'm to old. Bring your ATVs, fishing poles, or just your favorite book. Best kept secret I've came across lately. Highly recommend

Memories were made!

My family (myself, husband, grandson, granddaughter) had the best time! Yes, the Leaf River was high and the road was sketchy in one area, but all was good in the end. The kids played in the sand, water, and mud with equal enthusiasm. What is funny though, is that their favorite part of the trip was going to the sandbar and having the neighbor dog run and play with them :) Thank you for a wonderful place for my family to enjoy Spring Break 2023!

Great Stay

The previous reviews were very accurate in regards to the access road. A car can make it but I suggest a truck. We were at the property for 3 nights and only left at 2 times to go into town. This cabin is 12 miles from anywhere you want to go. Very peaceful in the morning on the porch with coffee. I had to communicate with Tammy only once and she was extremely considerate and happy to help.

Relaxing Days on the River

We chose this location for its proximity to USM as our son had orientation. The house was well appointed and clean. The master bedroom and bathroom were quite large. We had plenty of space and the bed was comfortable. The second bedroom was smaller but well furnished. We thoroughly enjoyed the beach and river. The river was moving quite fast, but we were able to enjoy the shoreline. There were fewer boats passing than we expected. Overall, it was quite relaxing. The neighbor did play his music quite loud on Sunday, but we just rolled with it as we would have had our own music on anyway. The road to the cabin can be somewhat intimidating, but we had no issues maneuvering it at all. Never did we feel like we were going to get stuck. We were driving a small SUV. It also rained every day we were there, and the road was still fine. There is a pretty little swamp area on the road where we spotted a small alligator and multiple species of fish. This location is great if you plan to check in and stay. It's not necessarily great for coming and going multiple times a day. We would definitely go back.

Serenity

Very clean and accommodating amenities. Best of both worlds as we rocked on the porch/hammocks and watched the kids play in the sand.

We are a newlywed couple who loves to play tennis, spend time on the water, cruising on the boat, traveling, exercise, hunt, fish, and of course a relaxing weekend at our cabin we named “The Leaf River Yacht Club”!!

-enjoy the wide porch that runs the length of the house and overlooks your personal sandbar/river
-relax on the porch swing while cooking your favorite meal on the propane BBQ grill
-bring your personal ATV’S and ride on the sandbar as well as the gravel road
-sit around the fire pit area and build a nice, warm, and cozy bonfire as you roast marshmallows and enjoy the best campfire snack in a "smores" as well as telling ghost stories beneath the moon, stars, and clear skies..
-plenty of parking is available for you and your guests
-bring your Jon-boat and feel free to catch your dinner or fish from the shore
-large grass area for you to bring your football, corn hole boards, or even the old school Baseball game of country jay
-after swimming in the river, rinse off with a hot/cold shower under the house. There is also a bathroom under the house.
- 2 Bedrooms featuring 2 queen beds
- for the ultimate camping experience, enjoy the Queen bed on the porch underneath the fans
-2 air mattresses are also available for use
-6 kayaks are available. Put them in at Sims bridge and float back to the cabin after a fun day on the river.
-2 HD TV’s are available with Direct TV to watch your favorite football teams play. A PlayStation and old school Super Nintendo are available for hookup and use.
-enjoy the 8 foot bar/island as you sit around and play cards or enjoy your dinner and swap fishing stories of who caught the biggest fish

This is our private home/retreat. Our hope is that you will treat it as you would treat your own home. Guest will be responsible for any damages to the home or any amenities that are damaged also. If you get in, or swim in the river, we are not responsible for any incidents that may occur. Swim at your own risk. No smoking inside, and please do not throw trash or cigarette butts anywhere on the property. No pets are allowed inside the home. We do charge for cleaning but we ask that you bag your own trash, strip the beds of linens and put them and any towels used in the laundry room and please turn the lights off and turn the air up to 82 degrees upon your departure!

We have security cameras on our property for your safety and ours; to protect our property. This is not to invade your privacy. The cameras are only used to prevent damages to the property and prevent items from walking off. Outside cameras only!!
