The home is 1400 sf, 2 bedroom, 1.5 bath. Large kitchen with sunroom, living room, dining area, master w/ queen, spare w/ queen + 1/2 bath, and a large bathroom w/ tile shower and heated floors.

The boathouse is converted into a boho style room with roll-up glass door, outdoor shower, clawfoot tub and lounging area. Perfect for workouts, yoga, meditation, or just relaxing and watching the waves roll in.

Pets are not permitted, sorry.

Swimming is great at the cabin. It is rocky, not sand. There is a ladder off the side of the pier. Water shoes are nice to have!

The property is our second home so please expect our personal possessions in the home. You are welcome to anything you forget (pantry, spices, etc).

The property is at the North end of Galiano Island and is 2 acres with lots of privacy. 15-minute drive to town where there are markets, dining, cafes, marinas, and more. Hiking nearby and a restaurant at Bodega Ridge Resort is only a 15-minute walk away.

Galiano Island requires a BC Ferries trip from Vancouver or Victoria, or a float plane. Having a vehicle on the Island is needed.

Wonderful island experience

Very relaxing with amazing views. Whales can be seen from the deck!!! Galiano Island is one of my favorites in the Gulf Islands and the San Juans and this house is perfect.

Great Private Location

The view is the best part. Absolutely spectacular!! As we stayed in the late fall, the fireplace was also appreciated. The location was easy to find, even on a dark rainy night. Google maps pinned the driveway exactly. Being up island it is a lengthy drive to most restaurants and shops - but for privacy and a base to explore hiking trails, this location worked very well for us. We stayed in a number of hotels and other cabins during our vacation, this was by far the most memorable.

Only disappointed with the boat house. We used it for the first night but then noticed a terrible smell and then discovered that the smell came from the portable toilet. So regularly empty would be nice. We decided not to use the boat house, which is a real shame. It is so a beautiful setting. Apart from this, the place is impressive, and the kitchen facilities are excellent for someone like me that do a lot of cooking. Thank you, Steve. My son said he would come back with friends.

Wonderful house with enchanting deck

We spent 9 lovely nights at this house. The deck was amazing with multiple sightings of orcas and a humpback whale. Although we could have just hung out all day on the deck, the house was located conveniently for biking and hiking. Direct water access for kayaks was best 1/4 mile away, with nice paddles either to Dionisio Point or Montague Harbour. The outdoor shower & converted boathouse were added extras. Really really nice!!

Amazing home by the ocean

This is a lovely place to stay. We had everything that we needed - the kitchen was better equipped than ours is at home! It was very nice, but managed to maintain its 'cabin' feel so we didn't feel like it was too posh to be comfortable. The flights of hummingbirds were a real bonus. The cabin sits on a bit of a headland, so there are clear views of the ocean from two sides.

Perfect getaway

Could not have asked for a better weekend rental! Comfortable, homey with personal touches, and an absolutely gorgeous view! Definitely recommend staying, and will stay again!

Amazing Spot!

We loved our visit to this property on Galiano Island. The cabin is in an incredible location for a relaxing stay with stunning views. There were a lot of added details - well designed outdoor spaces/boathouse, plants, decor, books with local relevance, record player, kitchen supplies, - which added to our experience. We hope to return for another stay!

Waterfront Seclusion

This home was a perfect spot to find solitude ……with the ability to stay connected to the rest of the world with a strong internet connection. While I would have loved to disconnect completely, I needed to work remotely during my stay, and had no issues. I slept soundly, both in the main house as well as the boat house on the water. While I didn’t take the opportunity to swim during this stay, the opportunity to do so was certainly inviting. The pair of seals that welcomed me certainly thought so. Everything was very clean, the fireplace kept the place extra cozy, and the kitchen was well equipped. It was clear that this house is lived in, and but very well kept for guests. I hope to make it back again.

Amazing

A beautiful property. The house was stunning and the location breathtaking. Everything I could need in the kitchen and very comfortable furnishings. I will never forget a midnight bath during a windstorm with the sound of the waves and the glimpses of stars.

Peaceful Oasis

Perfect place to relax - you won’t want to leave the house. Steve has put so much care and attention into artfully decorating his house. It looks straight out of a coffee table book on top island getaway cabins!

Loved it!

This waterfront cabin is perfect: stunning location, lots of decks for drinking in the views, dark starry nights, cozy beds, and a well-stocked kitchen. Highlights: soaking in the old-style bathtub under the stars, the boathouse, kayaking the area, rocky nooks, planet-spotting with the telescope, the neighbours (seals, herons, hummingbirds, ravens, whales...), and the friendly feathered hosts on site!

Beautiful spot

A stellar spot, even for Galiano, as the cabin is practically surrounded by ocean. The cabin is wanting for nothing and the kitchen has everything you might want. The deck is amazing with a long table and daybed (which we never got around to setting-up!). My daughter and her boyfriend stayed in the boathouse and enjoyed it immensely. There is swimming at the cabin, but be warned that it entails climbing down a short ladder and climbing across large rocks. Or you can jump off the pier, which the rest of my family did over and over. And of course there are plenty of other beautiful beaches for swimming on Galiano. There are also 5 chickens, who are charming, but you can't forget to tuck them in at night or you could have tragedy on your hands! Over-all, one of the nicest places we've stayed at on Galiano Island.

Excellent Family Getaway

Location and property didn’t disappoint. Many pictures were taken from all spots including videos of a seal that would swim by the property daily. Steve kept in touch and was helpful with sharing ideas for daily hikes and business to frequent. The property was well prepared for our visit from split wood to be used for the wood burning stove, fresh eggs from the chickens and the availability of the boathouse to use as a bedroom for our teenagers. (This was a highlight for them). Overall a very charming home with amazing views. We would recommend Steve and his property for an ideal family holiday.

Relaxing retreat

We had an extremely relaxing stay at this beautiful, clean, cozy cabin. 180 degree views up and down Trincomali Channel with a multitude of spots indoors and out to take it all in. The cabin is rustic, comfortable and well-equipped, perched on a quiet west-facing bluff in a private setting. There are some excellent walking paths nearby and good dining options in the local establishments. Steve was very quick to reply to queries and checked-in with us to ensure everything was to our satisfaction. We look forward to returning!
