We had a great time with our family. The location is great and we enjoyed being in the private lake and being able to go to the resort. We highly recommend and will be coming back soon.

The house was fun and very clea . We loved the design style indoors and outdoors. All enjoyed kayaking and paddle boarding (with a visit from sone friendly beavers!) The lake view was lovely and we enjoyed hanging out on the dock and even swam a bit in the chilly water .Thanks for a wonderful stay!

Communication was great. Extremely well stocked; it has most things you could want or need (kitchen items, towels, linens, trash bags, soap, paper towels, TP, dishwasher soap, life jackets). The lake access was perfect. We were out on the paddle boards and canoe every day. There was a 3 seat canoe, 2 SUPs, a double kayak, 2 single kayaks. The lake is quiet and a nice alternative to the larger Lake Lure where there are power boats. Beds were reasonably comfortable. Plenty of space for the 5 of us. Our 2 kids (ages 6,8) had so much fun exploring nature on the property. Very clean. Gas fireplace and games were perfect since we got rained in one day. We got 4” of rain and the lake got pretty murky after that, which made fishing hard. But that wasn’t their fault. The whimsical decor we found actually very fun to look at; out of the 100s of art pieces there was one sign with a sexy (clothed) lady in a martini glass and one other playful allusion to alcohol- but I did not find it overall “inappropriate” for my young kids, as mentioned in another review. In fact, they loved it. Roads are a bit narrow and windy getting there but probably still doable in a sedan. We would love to come back someday!

Relaxed and peaceful lake house.

Enjoyed the quiet small lake. Great for kayaking. Kitchen was very well equipped. Would definitely rent again.

Perfect Location

We enjoyed our stay. The location was perfect. We spent every night down at the dock. This area of the lake is so peaceful. My kiddos didn’t want to go home!

Wedding weekend

This was a perfect place to stay and relax while we celebrated the wedding of my daughter at Rumbling Bald. We especially enjoyed several days of relaxation after the big event. Loved the artistic vibe and peaceful lake.

Mom’s 65th Birthday

Incredible place offering beautiful lake views, terrific amenities, and plenty of room. We enjoyed using the peddle boat daily, the great kitchen with space for the whole family to help with preparation, and the multiple deck options for dining and morning coffee. We’ll definitely be planning a return visit!!

scenic getaway

beautiful views, peaceful location. My husband and I stayed in the master bedroom and I had the best nights sleep in ages and would love to know the make and model of the mattress. The access to the Rumbling Bald is a definite bonus. The kayaks, peddle boat and floating dock were very much appreciated.

Great get away

We had such a wonderful time at your place. The house was well maintained and really cute. We enjoyed lots of laughts on the screen porch and even spent the afternoon on the dock. Thank you for sharing.

Beautiful spot

Very pleasant stay. We did note a large grease stain in the oven and the floors were dirty. I did try to remove the stain with goo gone, but a self clean should be in order.

Gals Get together

It was the perfect place for our reunion. 5 HS friends met in Charlotte and stayed at Daydream House for 4 nights and we picked the right place! The house was just as described. Clean, fully equipped and right on a beautiful part of the lake. Beds were very comfortable with fresh linens and plenty of towels for the bath. We floated out on the swim dock all day and had dinner at Lake House restaurant. Hosts were very responsive. The best time!!

Dreamy vacation at Daydream Inn

Sisters getaway

Stayed at this amazing lakefront home for a long weekend sisters getaway. It was beautiful, clean , cozy and full of charm. The online pictures do not do it justice. From the cabin to the location and amenities the home came with was wonderful. We swam in the lake, took peddle boat out for a little ride. Kitchen is fully stocked with everything you would need to make your own meals which we did after some sun and water time in the lake. We would recommend 100 percent. Also near the town of Chimney Rock with adorable shops and good eats. Next time we plan to stay longer !

Nice getaway

The house was very clean and well stocked. Sue was extremely responsive to all of our needs. The children loved kayaking and swimming in the lake. The amenities at Rumbling Bald were a real plus especially the lazy river. Because we had unusually hot weather we were unable to have dinner on the porch so my only suggestion is to have a few extra chairs for the indoor dining table. We were six people and two had to eat at the counter. It would have been nice for all of us to sit at the table.

Great with a few requests.

My requests are to put a king bed in the master bedroom so my wife and I can sleep together. There is plenty of room. Also, blinds on all the windows in the master. I had to move many things off the counters and cabinets to the laundry room to make room for our dry goods.
