This cabin sits on the bluff above the beach facing the salmon-rich waters of the Cook Inlet to the west, providing perfect views of the sunset from inside the house or the patio! Centrally located in the Kenai, you will be 20 min from Soldotna, 1hrs from Homer, 2hrs from Seward, and 3hrs from Anchorage.

The 'Chisik' cabin is the one of 6 private cabins at the Alaskan Sunset Cabins. We have a large, quiet and quaint property - perfect for a single or multi-family stay on the Kenai. Downstairs is a combined with kitchen and living room, connected to a queen bedroom, and a private bathroom. The loft upstairs has two twin beds, and the deck patio is perfect for sunny afternoon and watching the sunset in the evening.

The cabin is in a quiet rural community on Kalifornsky Beach Road. The most noise you will hear is the soft crashing of waves on the beach at high tide, or the occasional sound of a bald eagle stopping by on the bluff.

Beautiful accommodations and location!

The view was stunning! The property and grounds were very well kept and maintained. The owners are personable and helpful. We will definitely stay there again

Very nice cabin with amazing sunset views

This cabin had a lot more amenities than we were expecting. This stay exceeded our expectations. Randy was a very kind host and the property is beautiful.

My family and I spend a couple weeks every summer in the Kenai peninsula area. We lucked into finding Alaska sunset cabins because Randy had a cancellation. We need look no further for future stays. This is the place! We are already booked for 16 day stay next summer. Right on the beautiful ocean, can see the mountains across Cook Inlet. Boats fishing the mouth of the kasilof and walk along the awesome beach. Communication with Randy and his lovely wife was excellent. They really care about their guest and that they are hav ng a great experience . We stay in Vrbos several times a year and although hosts are typically good with communication this is by far the best experience we have ever had with the hosts. Randy has several levels of cabins with all the amenities. From smaller 4 person with loft to full house with two sets of washer and dryers. Amazing views of the ocean from all cabins. The staff was amazing as well. Enrique made us etchings on rocks my wife and daughter found on his beachGreat fish cleaning areaRandy has lived on that property for more than 59 years. If you have questions about anything to do in the area or things to do he has the information to help. No lip service he really cares about your happiness Randys cabins are a bit of a drive from soldotna but that seemed to be a plus for us. Nice roads to his cabins and more quiet than staying near town. Plus nice drive to Homer. Leave early and look for moose.

Great stay

Very Nice, great view, clean with firewood provided. Only thing I wish we would have had was a comfortable easy chair to unwind in. A futon was the only sitting spot. They offered us a fish cleaning station and freezer to keep our fish in while we stayed there, a very nice added amenity that was not expected. Great Trip, thanks for letting us stay.

We moved to Anchorage from Idaho in 1976, and started spending summers in the Kenai soon after. We bought this property eight years later - starting with 3 small fishing cabins, and we've built 6 more since. We built the 'Chisik' cabin in 1999. We stay busy with the cabins and fishing during the summers, and enjoy the quiet winters in between.

Nearly all the lumber for the cabins came from the trees on the land where the cabins are today! Our location is conveniently close to commercial and recreational fishing opportunities, and miles of quiet beachfront along Cook Inlet. Our private, quiet property is on the Kasilof coast is centrally located on the Kenai - we are 1 hour from Homer, 2 hours from Seward, and 3 hours from Anchorage.

For those fishing during their stay on the Kenai, we have a fish processing facility on the property with freezers. If you stay at one of our cabins, you may clean and store your catch at no additional cost! You only need to provide your own packaging materials.
