Historic Bardstown Cottage

Stay with us in Bardstown, named one of "the most beautiful small towns in America." Our cottage is located just three blocks from downtown restaurants, shops, family activities and nightlife. Located on the Bourbon Trail, you are steps from Barton's Distillery and a short drive from several other popular distilleries. Churchill Downs, Keeneland, Mammoth Cave National Park and other popular attractions are within an hours drive making this cottage the perfect base for exploring Kentucky.

This fully renovated home sleeps up to 4 people in two queen beds. The first floor features the master bedroom, living room, kitchen, office area and bathroom with a walk in shower and washer and dryer. The second floor is devoted to the second bedroom and a private sitting area. Local cable TV and wifi (for streaming from your accounts) are provided. You can enjoy the outdoors on our front porch or deck with a dining area and grill. Enjoy your morning coffee or a nightcap from our drink station.
Our home is located on a busy street. This causes some street noise which is a trade-off for the great location right in town. We do provide sound machines in the bedrooms to help with this noise.

Bourbon Tour

The location of the cottage is perfect for a visit to many distilleries as well as things for a non-bourbon drinking wife to enjoy. Bardstown itself is a lovely town.

This was a great place to stay for 4 adults!!

Cute place to stay while visiting the bourbon trail, and some historical landmarks. Landlord very responsive, and just an all around nice place

Bardstown festival

The house is beautiful! My nieces had a craft booth at the festival and was perfect for our stay!!! Nicole is a wonderful host!!!!

Great location!

Great Location!

We’ve stayed here before and rental is just as described. Clean, well stocked and comfortable! Short walk to town and short drives to many distilleries. When coming back, we will stay here again!

Enjoyed Bardstown

Perfect location, historic charm, cottage decor. Would definitely attempt to stay in again if I were able to come back to Kentucky and the Bourbon Trail.

Sister Trip

We had a wonderful time exploring the Bardstown area and the cottage was so convenient to walk downtown, enjoy local fair, and close proximity to distilleries in the area. Owner was wonderful about communicating and making sure we were enjoy our stay!

Christmas stay

Peaceful cottage

This was a lovely cottage, peaceful and relaxing and convenient to downtown. Walkable to many places.Truly enjoyed ourselves.

The property was very clean! It is also very close to the distilleries. It had all the amenities we needed. The only issue was the one bathroom and the lack of a hallway resulting in going through the bedroom if the bathroom was being used. Needless to sssy we figured it out and would stay there afsin

Cute and Comfortable

We enjoyed our short visit to visit family and explore Bardstown. The house is very comfortable and we easily found everything we needed during our stay. It was a short walk to Third Street and all the restaurants and shops there, and a quick drive to the distilleries and other places we wanted to go. The host provided clear communication and great advice to back into the driveway. The street can be busy when driving out but we didn’t have issues with noise in the house. This a was a great base for our trip.

Charming Property

We enjoyed our time in Bradstown. The property was charming and very clean. I will say the traffic noise the floor creaking made it hard to sleep at times.

Holiday stay in Bardstown

We loved our stay in Bardstown at the cottage. It was clean, fresh and inviting. The Christmas tree was a nice added touch. Nicole’s communication was great - even checking in with us a few times during our stay. The location was perfect - an easy walk to town - which we did often and it was close to many, many distilleries. Would definitely stay here again!

Fun on the Bourbon Trail

My husband and I stayed in the Bardstown Cottage after dropping our youngest daughter off at college. We were needing a distraction and had the best time on the Bourbon Trail! The location of the Cottage was perfect to many distilleries. The town has a ton of charm too. The cottage itself was comfortable, clean, and well stocked. We didn't cook much, but the kitchen was stocked if we wanted to. The property was clean and was just as listed. I would highly recommend staying here.

What a great town

We were in town for the PGA Championship. We loved Bardstown. The town is very beautiful and such a well kept historic town. We look forward to going back in the future. There are many great restaurants and distilleries in the area. The location was very convenient to all the small towns where the distilleries were located. The house we rented had great accommodations. It was very clean and well kept. Keurig for making coffee with good variety of K-cups. We would recommend staying here again. The owner did a great job responding to messages.

Perfect weekend!

We enjoyed our stay. The place was clean and thoughtfully furnished. The bed was comfortable. Directions were clear for check-in and check-out. We’ll be back! Next time, we will bring our kids. They would have loved staying in the adorable upstairs. The place was also within easy walking distance of everything, and the hosts left great recommendations for eating.

Excellent house

We had a great stay at this property! Everything was as it was described and was clean and beautifully decorated! Check in and checkout was so easy. The beds were so comfortable! The house is in a great location and close to downtown. Bardstown is a nice town and the location is so convenient to the Bourbon Distilleries. Noelle is an excellent communicator. This house is a little treasure! So much better than staying at a hotel.

More than bourbon

My wife did Geneology. We did the Civil War museum and women’s museum. Good restaurants. Bernheim Forest was very interesting and good hiking. Great restaurants from Drugstore counter to historic places. Lots of distilleries but a good museum covers a lot for those not into $$$ for bourbon. Very nice home.

Long-awaited Bourbon Trail Trip

My husband has been working working working and the stress was really getting to him so he up and said, "Let's go on a mini-vacay and explore the Bourbon Trail." AWESOME IDEA, he's full of them. This property was super clean and best of all wonderfully comfortable after a day of exploring all the incredibly nearby distilleries. Communication was wonderfully easy and owner very responsive. We're already planning our next trip for 2022.

Lovely Bardstown Stay

The communication with the host was top notch both via the app and in printed instructions posted on the fridge. The home was a great place for a base for visiting the distilleries. Yet the two best experiences were in the list of recommendations from the hosts: the Oscar Getz museum was very interesting and well worth the free price of admission; And plan on obtaining reservations for the Rickhouse because both the ambience and quality of food are excellent. Another recommendation for drinks and buying alcohol is the Evergreen. A lovely bar located in a liquor store for one stop drinking and buying. As for the house it is located on main road so the traffic can be heard going by but it quiets down at night and we didn’t have any trouble sleeping. It had everything we needed for our stay. Cute Tidy Convenient

We had a great stay. Owners put a lot of thought into making this a well stocked and comfortable stay! It is a tastefully renovated old cottage. No weird smells (which is a huge plus in these older homes) We shared with another couple. only thing to be aware of is you will be sharing the bathroom with 4 people. This didn't bother us. House is on a great safe location. Quick jaunt to mainstreet restaurants and coffee. Beds were very comfortable, everything was very new. Thank you for offering your place to us. : )
