This is a low country style, 2 story, 4 bedroom, 2 1/2 bath home located on Whitemarsh Island, which is centrally located between Savannah and Tybee Island on highway 80! The home boasts a new media room complete with large screen TV and a record player to suit family time. A large, well lit, screened in back porch overlooking a private back yard to spend the evening enjoying the night sounds of cicadas or to start a fire for roasting marshmallows in backyard fire pit. The kitchen has been updated with quartz counter tops, a cushioned breakfast nook with pillows, and a new coffee and drinks station. Both full bathrooms have been updated with new tub/shower, and vanities. There are also beach chairs and towels ready for the quick 11 mile drive to Tybee Beach for the day!

Very comfortable house

Overall it was a very nice stay. The beds were very comfortable and the house was very well appointed with towels, dishes, sheets, etc. It was very nice having everything we needed. The location was perfect for us, as it was within minutes of our family we were visiting. There was also a grocery store and very good diner within a few minutes drive. The neighborhood seems to be up and coming still, but we never felt unsafe.

Very cooperative host. Nice house

We had planned our stay months ahead, but ended up traveling right after the hurricanes. Worried about damage and road closures, I messaged the host several times with questions. She was quick to respond and happy to help. Our stay was great, house was clean

Great location and communication with host was great. Had a small appliance issue and host was easy to get in touch with and quickly got a tech out to the house for a quick repair. Host even brought us a back up option until tech was able to arrive on-site to repair the appliance.

Savannah & Tybee Island Spring Break

My wife, son and I spent our Spring Break week here in Savannah. The house is centrally located in the middle of Savannah and Tybee Island about 10 to 12 minutes from each of these areas. The house has a nice backyard area with a firepit and a screened in porch.

Only one recommendation… leave written instructions in the home for how to use the TV and AC/heat. Everything else was perfect!

Thanksgiving Trip

The property itself was as described. The location was perfect for what we needed and planned to do. Check in/out process was very simple. We got notification that the house was early several hours prior to check in time, which was a nice bonus. The livingroom furniture is different from what was pictured but was still comfortable. I do wish the windows had screens and the thermostat wasn't locked out (which I understand from the power bill stand point). When we first arrived the house was warmer than we like so we opened the windows to let the cool air in. We couldn't turn the heat off so if it was cooler than 70 i dide, it ran and made the upstairs stuffy. ***The major complaint, which is not the owners fault, is the house next door (garage side). The house was very run down and junky. There was trash and random item strewn from the front to the back yard. A heaping pile of trash (household items) piled at the end of the drive between the driveways. The small children were very loud and as we drove up, they were beating some broken down cars in their driveway with bats. They were screaming at each other in and out side of the house. This made us feel a little uncomfortable with our cars parked right beside their driveway. Some neighborhood "rules" would definitely help this situation. Otherwise the rest of the neighborhood was fine.

We are frequent VRBO patrons. This house was exceptional. Patricia, the host, supplied her beautiful home with all of the amenities and more that a weary traveler could ever think of. Her home was spotless and smelled beautiful. The backyard lanai with warm cozy lighting looked out to a welcoming fire pit in the privately fenced-in backyard. Healthy plants, quaint pillow-stuffed window seats, plentiful silverware and dinnerware, appliances, beach towels, beach chairs, body wash, comfy bed linens and even a welcome bottle of wine on the counter were all part of this hospitable host’s exceptional signature. The house was very clean, we had everything we needed, we only had one creepy crawler, had a snake at the patio door, next door neighbors yards are a little cluttered, if families stay with small kids/ toddlers 2 baby gates would’ve been nice for stairs,

Even better than Expected

My husband and I booked this with our small kids, and 2 friends. The house was perfect for us, and incredibly convenient to town and the beach. We loved how close we were to grocery shopping, as we like to cook many of our meals on vacation. The neighborhood is quite large so I was concerned about possible noise, but there were never any issues. I asked the owner a question prior to booking and she responded quickly. They also had our room ready for us earlier than planned and she let us know, which was great cause we were ready to get there and were just in town killing time. We plan to come to Savannah with some regularity in the coming years and will definitely keep this as a favorite.

Great for our family - the house has it all

The house is exactly as listed...if not a bit better in person. There were 2 adults and 2 children (5 & 8) and the home was a perfect fit for us. The kids loved the big beds! It's well appointed, all appliances are in great/new condition and we didn't need to run out and get anything extra. We even packed floor fans at the last minute only to find out they had a couple new ones in the closets upstairs. The overall location is very convenient to both downtown Savannah & Tybee Island which was exactly what we were looking for. Communication with the property manager was excellent throughout the entire process as I had a few questions when we booked and when we were actually at the property. Book it and enjoy!

Great experience

My family and I enjoyed our stay very much. The location was great ~ halfway between Tybee Island and historic downtown Savannah. The property was very nice, updated and clean. The neighborhood was quiet and felt safe. If I had one small suggestion, it would be to include some children’s DVDs in the bedroom with the TV/DVD combo. It was my first time to use vrbo for a vacation property, and I was very pleased with the ease and convenience of the process. I would definitely recommend.

Fantastic stay!

We had a wonderful 5 week stay. The house was great - lots of room - and very comfortable and clean. The kitchen was well stocked and the beds were comfortable. We loved sitting in the screened in porch. The neighborhood was quiet and we loved the convenient location a lot! It was so easy to get into Savannah and over to Tybee. Tricia responded very quickly to any questions we had and was such a great host. We brought a motor boat and there was a public ramp about 1.5 miles away. We were also close to Bonaventure Cemetery, Fort Pulaski, Oatland Nature Center and and a number of great walking paths including one around the YMCA about a mile away. We would definitely return!

I grew up in Maine and now enjoy a full southern coastal existence! I love to host friend groups or family’s for vacations; especially guest new to Savannah since I am partial to Savannah’s southern city charm!

The location of this neighborhood with easy access to highway 80 enables me to be downtown in 7 miles or head east 11 miles to Tybee Island! There is a Walmart, CVS, and Publix a mile away for convenience. Whitemarsh Preserve for amazing walking and bicycling trails to spend the afternoon in shady nature is located just outside the development open every day.

My favorite thing about this house is comfort. I have 4 large bedrooms with king or queen beds since I’ve never enjoyed sleeping in a twin or a bunk bed! If you like to cook I have everything you may need to cook and serve. Most recently I have added a media room with large sectional couch, big screen TV and a record player to take the edge off the day! This room is large enough to accommodate the queen bed great for guests that may prefer first floor lodging.
