2020 Thanksgiving

Absolutely loved our stay. We have stood in many houses and this one has definitely raised the bar. Such a great home, we never left house (5days). Great entertaining home for friends and family. It is beautifully decorated, landscaped and secure. All the amenities of home and then some. Plenty of room for everyone to gather or spread out to relax and enjoy the views. Great location to a number of attractions and amenities during your stay. The property owners were great! If available, we will definitely be back!

Great place with lots of space for a large group (we had 6 adults and a toddler). A/C is limited in bedrooms if it is hot, which it was for our stay (90’s which I am told is unusual). Well stocked but could use a few more items updated or refreshed.

This estate is ideal for a family vacation. We had six adults and four children, the three on suite bedrooms were perfect for the three adult couples and the two bedrooms with the shared bath for the kids was also perfect. The estate is private with driveway security gates to enter and exit. The landscaping is beautiful, the outside play area for the kids was a plus. The pool was very clean and heated per our request.Above all, the communication with Host Jesse was the best. He was quick to answer all our questions before and during our stay. I highly recommend this property for any large family group.

Our family decided to stay at this property for our vacation. The listing indicates it has 2 King beds, 1 queen bed, bunkbeds and a futon in the media room, a gym and fitness equipment. There is no gym or fitness equipment, there is a twin/full not a queen bed in one of the guest rooms. There are no window coverings upstairs or downstairs except in one guest bedroom. So, if you like it dark,want to sleep in on your vacation, beware. It does have 2 fireplaces, a BBQ,but be careful because when you light the fireplaces they explode. The host informed me that the BBQ does work but explodes when you light it. He said you need a long lighter and need to lean away from it, so we didn't barbecue. The house was not clean; there were bugs in the kitchen cabinets/drawers. A buildup of dirt, dust, bottles and trash were under the beds, tables, and couches. The screens/doors had spider webs/dust in every corner,looked like they hadn't been cleaned in a while. There were spiders falling from the ceiling onto the beds and floor. The outside had not been prepared or cleaned when we arrived. Soda cans and pieces of meat were all over the pool area covered with ants. The jacuzzi had algae (the host had the pool guy come and shock it and gave me a one-night refund.) You couldn't sit on the outside furniture because of the dirt and webs. There is a step in the entry way that is a safety hazard, beware. A bobcat came up on the patio,thank God the kids weren't outside. Won't be back!

While we respect that every guest’s experience is unique, we feel it is important to provide additional context for future guests. Our home was professionally cleaned on the day of your arrival, with our cleaning team on-site from approximately 9:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. preparing the property. You also arrived approximately one hour before the scheduled check-in time, before the home was officially ready for occupancy. The home is professionally serviced for pest control every month and had been treated approximately one week prior to your arrival. Because the property is surrounded by mature, lush tropical landscaping, it is not uncommon for outdoor spider webs to reappear quickly despite regular maintenance. This is simply part of the natural environment in our coastal neighborhood. Regarding the windows, the home does have window coverings in the bedrooms where they are needed for privacy. In other areas, we intentionally preserve the beautiful views of the surrounding landscaping, which also naturally shades the home and blocks much of the early morning sunlight. Many guests specifically enjoy this open, indoor-outdoor feel. During your stay, the spa developed an unexpected algae issue after unusually heavy use. As soon as we were notified, we immediately dispatched our pool service company to restore the water quality and provided a refund for the night the spa was unavailable. We take great pride in maintaining our home and encourage guests to read all reviews.

For a large party, the accommodations were great! Lots of beds and privacy! Shared spaces plenty of seating for all to be present and participate in conversations, games, and meal sharing. Plenty of space for storing food and cooking meals whether inside on stove and/or in oven or if outside on the grill. Getting in and out of the gates were tricky with lots of cars. Pool and jacuzzi heated so pool is worth it. Only real drawbacks were the entry step into the house is not real visible so if older folks in your party, it is a tripping hazard and potential liability. And then under furniture was not well tended by house keeping but all other spaces and places clean and tidy. Otherwise, great property! Also well stocked with laundry supplies and shampoos/conditioner etc. and basic cooking needs like storage baggies, foil, etc.

Fun at Casa de Morgan

This is really a beautiful home and we enjoyed our stay. We had a few issues with the lock on the door but that was remedied. The pool and hot tub were enjoyable and we spent a lot of time outside because of the great weather. One of the outside fire pits didnt work for us but there was another one that was perfect. Overall it is a beautiful place and really nice for a family stay.

Great Family Vacation Home!

Beautiful property nestled in the Rancho Santa Fe/Encinitas area only a 10 minute drive from some of the best beaches in the around. The house is very spacious with an open plan kitchen, dining and family area. There is a separate dining are for more formal dining and a lovely seating area with a fireplace at the front of the house. Upstairs there is a gorgeous spacious master suite with a beautiful view of the sunrise every morning! There is 3 more bedrooms upstairs (1 en-suite) a bathroom and an office type area. Outside there is a heated pool and hot tub, multiple seating areas and some fire pits. The have a large heated patio area where we ate out most nights. There is also a bonus tv area at the pool that our kids really enjoyed. Jesse the host was always available to help with anything we needed. This is a great family home in a great area that I would have no hesitation recommending!

Beautiful property

Gorgeous house on a very private, beautiful property. Great location with easy access to the beach, shopping, restaurants, and the freeway. Owner is very responsive and easy to work with.

Perfect blend of private oasis and location to downtown areas and beaches.

This place is even better than pictured, the views from the property over the mountains are incredible. It feels like you have a private oasis with incredible amenities but you are still less than 20 minutes (door to door) to some of the best beaches and towns in the area. The people in the area are so lovely and welcoming. Jesse could not have been a better host, he was incredibly responsive and provided so much helpful information when we arrived. Initially, there were repairs scheduled to be needed for one tub on one day while we were going to be there but Jesse warned us and gave us the option prior to our arrival and a very fair discount for our stay. It turned out that the repairs didn't need to happen during our stay, which made it even better for us but his up front disclosure and the options he provided, made us go with this place over others and I am so glad we did. We spent evenings sitting by one of the two fire pits, or at the outdoor dining area with space heaters getting to enjoy the views and the outside as much as possible. The speaker system throughout the house and in the BBQ area really added to the experience and the ambiance. The little details of comfort spread through the home added to feel from the incredibly soft throw blankets and comfy couches, to the great towels, and the shower shampoo, conditioner, and body washes. It had everything you could need to grill out or to cook an amazing dinner (which we did several times). The theater room was amazing although we only used it once. Everything was really clean when we arrived and check-in was easy and contactless. I would definitely highly recommend this space to anyone - we'll definitely be back!
