Our two Hayden Lake homes (This listing and vrbo#2073625) are located in North Idaho; 18 miles away from Silverwood Theme Park, 17 miles north of Downtown Coeur d' Alene and 40 miles east of Spokane, WA. You can pack up the kids, stop at the store and move on in to your vacation home at Hayden Lake. Not only does a breathtaking mountain and waterfront view await you but a comfy 2 bedroom home with a fully equipped kitchen featuring a popular open-floor plan. Enjoy the fabulous lake view while preparing your next meal. The kids will love their very own digs in our optional bunkhouse rental and even bring friends (sleeps 6). We provide propane for gas BBQ.

Day times will be filled with swimming off your own private rock or the newly built dock and sunning on the spacious sundeck. There are numerous water toys for adults and kids and lots of room to enjoy group activities or just kick-back and relax. Deck eating facilities, just off the kitchen, provide for BBQing and group food fests. Evening walks in 12 acres of private forest, deck sitting.

Enjoy super fishing off the dock or with the canoe. There have been consistent catches of 14-16 inch Kokanee (Landlocked sockeye salmon), trout, bass, northern pike and crappie.

Prefer a little less action and a little more serenity for fishing, cruising or just relaxing, consider May/June or September/October. Some of the best weather conditions and peaceful times can be experienced during spring and Fall. An added benefit to the beautiful Spring and Fall is our rates are considerably lower than the high season so you can enjoy an economical, quality stay.

WiFi: We provide free WiFi via Starlink satellite internet that was upgraded in 2024.

Best VRBO we've stayed at so far

Everything was beautiful. Decorated nicely and with all new kitchen stuff. Everything you need without the clutter you don't need. The dock was a great place to relax and to fish. The canoes and kayaks were so much fun. Comfortable beds and bedding. Nice washer and dryer so you dont have to pack so much. We will definately come back again.

A beautiful peaceful retreat!

We LOVED staying here! Our time at the Crow's nest was the highlight of our drive across the country. We would love to come back. The drive in from the main road is quite long (approx 15 minutes) and the road is twisty so you have to drive pretty slowly, but it's so beautiful. It is a great transition from busyness into this magical place. The cabin was immaculately clean and very well equipped. The towels were so soft and plush, the beds were very comfortable, and the living area was comfortable and inviting. The kitchen is well appointed (including an electric kettle!) and was stocked with coffee and tea supplies, and also a few snacks and drinks. And the view. Oh my! Sitting on our private deck overlooking the Hayden lake was a joy, and so restorative. In the morning we enjoyed watching the sun climb over the hills and the mist rise off the lake. In the evenings we watched the sunset glow the far side of the lake. Pay attention and you may see the bald eagles roosting in the trees overhead, or hear them fly over! There is an abundance of other wildlife to watch too. Our host, Noi, was excellent, very responsive, and helpful. She also gave us great tips about the eagles! Our only regret is that we had to leave.

Fantastic waterfront getaway

Our family absolutely loved this property! The house was immaculate and well-stocked, which we truly appreciate because many rentals don't provide basics such as spices and storage containers - the little things that make our vacations a little easier to enjoy. The beautiful windows in the house, the deck, the dock, and water toys provide ample opportunity to enjoy the lake. It was a wonderful retreat that allowed us to explore the natural beauty of North Idaho - bonus that we even saw a moose on the driveway!

Perfect.

The Crow's Nest is a perfect place to stay to enjoy Hayden Lake. The house comes with a great view and boats that let you spend your time on the water. The accommodations are delightful and there is an eagle who likes to spend time in a nearby tree. Nothing could be more perfect.

Charming Getaway

This is such a nice tucked away place to get away from it all. Noi has stocked the house and kitchen with all of the possible things you may need to cook and enjoy your time. Their Starlink has low availability from the tree coverage blocking, but we brought our own Starlink and just set it out on the dock and had great internet. Noi, thank you kindly for letting us stay at your hidden gem of a home and we look forward to visiting again in the future.

Great little house

Loved this property! Modern, clean, easy access to water. There is only one bathroom so good for a couple or small family. The water toys could use some love but the owners brought over a new sit on top Kayak so we would have two functioning ‘toys’ which was super great of them. If I stayed here again I would bring my own SUP’s.

Amazing spot

We enjoyed the views, the cabin, the water toys, the swimming and fishing. This property is awesome and we would definitely stay again. Management was easy to get a hold of and prompt to respond.

Great Family Vacation

The views from this property are absolutely amazing. The house is well equipped, clean and comfortable for four adults. The dock is updated and great for paddle boarding and splashing around in the lake. We rented a boat and we’re able to keep it at the dock with no issues. Would definitely recommend and would stay here again in a heartbeat. Noi is very responsive and keeps quests well informed.

Million Dollar View!

We loved everything about our stay at the Crows Nest. It was the perfect place for us to rewind after a whirlwind family reunion in Montana. We felt relaxed the minute we arrived. The property is amazing and the home has been beautifully remodeled. Plus it's very clean, comfortable and well stocked. The expansive view of the lake is breathtaking!! I loved sitting on the deck and soaking it in. The dock area, water toys and little beach were an added bonus. This is definitely a home that I would love to return to!

Great Property-Be Aware No AC-Difficult Boat Trailer Parking

Loved the property. Be aware that there is no air conditioning in this unit. To get to the property you'll have to drive down a 1/2 mile very narrow gravel road with trees on both sides, which is one for just a car. However, if you have a boat trailer and go in forward there's absolutely no way to turn around once at the property. You'll need to back your trailer all the way down the very narrow road from the main road. It's a long way to back and you'll want to be very proficient at backing a trailer. Parking if fine for just a car though.

Great stay!

Our first visit to ID and this rental did not disappoint! Beautiful location, well equipped, and comfortable bed! We enjoyed sitting on the spacious deck with our dogs watching the eagles fly overhead. Special thanks to the property manager for dropping by to make sure we were having a 5 star stay! We will be back!

Great Location.

Owners wonderful, inside great. Needs some love on the deck, dock, stairs etc. But to be fair most places in the area need help and it's very hard to get any. Loved our stay

Fantastic stay!

The house was beautiful and well equipped! Our family had a great time on the dock, using the boats & swimming! The lake and neighborhood was calm and quiet. The sand bar near the house was awesome for playing near. We had a great vacation & would definitely come back!

Relaxing Lakefront Property

Breathtaking!!

This property is the most amazing place, absolutely gorgeous! It was everything and more I dreamed of in a lakefront vacation. I hope to stay again, but for longer!! It was quiet and serene, simply wonderful! All communication was prompt, kind and professional. I highly recomment this property!
