Beautiful ski in/ski out slope side home! 5 bedroom 4 bath with open great room. Gourmet kitchen, large dining room table and cozy living room perfect for relaxing after a day outdoors. Two master bedrooms with en suite baths and walk in closets. The property has two stone fireplaces and a convenient mud room on the lower level for ski gear, with direct slope access right out back. Enjoy gorgeous views of the slopes and mountains on the multiple decks the house has to offer. Located near the top of Tyro, this house is a dream for skiers, snowboarders, golfers and hikers! Shuttle drop off and pick up to Wintergreen lodge and restaurants. Central to many hiking trails, wineries and breweries. There is so much to see and explore here! Newly added hot tub is the perfect way to unwind after a day full of adventure!

* Please note for summer rentals: There is no central AC for this house. There is a whole house fan, which cools the entire house, as well as fans in every bedroom. There is also a window AC unit in the living room.

Great location in a wonderful resort

This is a very wonderfully located home near the Wintergreen Inn and restaurants. Upstairs dining, kitchen and living room are superb

Great property! Very clean, had everything we needed and spacious living area! Beds were comfy and hot tub was a nice added touch! Directly on slopes!

Great place!

Stayed here for a birthday trip with some friends and it was awesome! Great location, the kitchen was very stocked, and the house was very clean! Snow room was nice and great spot on the slope.

Family holiday

We chose this house as a location for all of us to come together to celebrate Christmas. It couldn’t have been more perfect! The kitchen was perfectly appointed for making big meals, there was plenty of firewood to use throughout the weekend, our rooms were comfortable, and there was even a fully decorated Christmas tree! Best of all, our proximity to the slopes meant we woke up to a white Christmas each morning.

Easter Weekend

Beautiful home on the top of the mountain as listed. Kitchen was well stocked for our Easter cooking. Family gathered here and the living room was perfect to sit around and talk. We would stay here again.

family celebration

Our large group rented several houses in the same area. Gatherings were at one of the other houses, so unfortunately we did not spend much time at this house. Property was clean, well-located, and nicely-equipped. Will have to come back to enjoy all of the ammenities.

Lovely multilevel house with cozy fireplaces

We were two families visiting to do some hiking and see the fall leaves. We had a wonderful stay at Treeloft! The two fireplaces made our cold weekend extra cozy. Plenty of comfortable bedrooms and beds for everyone to sleep comfortably. Dining table had plenty of room for the group. Kitchen was well stocked. We had a great time! Would stay again.

Great place!!

We really enjoyed our stay!! The rooms were great for our group and we LOVED the open living room/kitchen and large table. Was surprised at the amount of kitchen appliances, utensils, etc. that were provided- we really had everything we needed at this house. The only issue we ran into was getting an Uber but it wasn’t a huge deal! Perfect birthday weekend getaway with friends!

Great Stay

Elizabeth was fantastic. VERY communicative, super accomodating. We had a great time the location is excellent right on a blue slope. The place was very clean, warm, and spacious. It is spread out across three floors so not ideal for older people. Our check-in was the day of a storm and Elizabeth was available 24/7 to help ensure our move in and check-in was all seamless. Thank you!

Ski In and Ski Out = Location is everything

We visit Wintergreen multiple times during the winter and never had stayed at a ski in/ski out. It was challenging trying to figure out which ones on VRBO are truly ski in/ski out. THIS IS!!! Right on Tyro!!! House fit us all comfortably. The stove and oven were a little tricky but came with instructions, which are easy to follow. Great stay!!!

Quiet Home in the Mountains

This home is in a beautiful mountain setting in the Wintergreen Resort. It was perfect for our friends and family for a week. Though it hadn’t been cleaned when we arrived, the owner was immediately responsive to our needs and offered to send the cleaners out the following morning. We declined and had our cleaning fee refunded instead since we had all arrived. The home is spacious but needs a little updating. Two bathrooms are smaller while the other two are larger. Laundry, a fully outfitted kitchen, spacious seating in the living and dining rooms, huge deck and hot tub gave us plenty of room to relax after spending our days hiking in the mountains and frequenting local wineries and breweries. Plenty to do and we left looking forward to our return soon!

Great house for families

This is a great house for families and located close to the main lodge. This is our second stay here and for good reasons! We loved the fire place and good living space. Unfortunately, we did not check ahead this year so were surprised to find the slope was closed (grassy!) so not exactly the ski-in/out we had hoped for. Just a short walk (about 1-2 houses up) to get over to next closest slope, so that worked for the adults and big kid, but still had to drive the little ones to an easier access point. Still had a great time overall!

Sorry, I cannot recommend this home

I don’t see how this home is getting 5 star reviews. The first floor with 3 bedrooms was so damp and musty, I was embarrassed to have my family sleep down there. Many of the window handles were broken, which was a problem since the bedrooms don’t have ac. There was a broken window, the iwner

Excellent location, beautiful views, minor cleanliness concerns

Nine people ranging from their 70s to 4 years old of our family stayed for a few days the Thanksgiving holiday. We loved the location, well-appointed kitchen and gorgeous views. The layout of the house may be difficult for anyone with mobility issues as you have to go up/down stairs to access the bedrooms and living spaces; however this wasn’t a significant issue for us. We also appreciated the individual climate control panels in each room that we could adjust to our liking. The downside is that the lowest level of the house is pretty musty smelling. There’s also mold in the only bathroom for all three bedrooms on the lowest level. Otherwise we found the rental to be spacious, comfortable and clean.

Ski Weekend

Minus the weather (which is out of everyone’s control) we had an amazing time! The house was a few feet away from the slopes and we made the most of skiing. The house was great for everyone. Showers are slightly small and toilets were a little low-but nothing we couldn’t handle! We had an amazing weekend!

Family Christmas

After driving through sleet and ice with tree limbs falling on the way we arrived at a beautiful home with an inviting Christmas tree glistening in the window. Upon entry we saw that a pipe had burst and water was leaking onto the floor. I made one phone call to Elizabeth. She had someone there that night! She checked in with me to make sure things were being taken care of. Apologized over and over. Pipes bust, things break. None of which is in control of the owner. However her response is and she rocked it! I love this house. A true ski in ski out with lots of room. I would definitely stay here again!
