Five Sparrows Farm invites you to sit on the covered porch and watch eagles soar above ferries crossing the Puget Sound. Cozy up in front of a roaring fire with a good book, then end your day in the sauna. Let your kids explore the fully fenced two-acres, (which includes an orchard for your seasonal picking) and outdoor play structure or garage game room with TV, ping pong and foosball table! Walk down to the ferry dock and board a Water Taxi to visit downtown Seattle for a day. Drive a short four miles into Vashon and explore one of the great restaurants, breweries or parks. Blackstone grill on the deck, charcoal BBQ and dream chefs kitchen.

Perfect location

It was a perfect location for our surprise birthday celebration. We had family coming from around the country and having the ferry so close was fantastic.

Gorgeous home on the island

My family had a great two night stay. The house layout provided lovely space for gathering. We especially liked the deck with the view.

Great house, property and location!

We enjoyed our family time together. The location of the house allowed us to easily explore Vashon Island. Nathan quickly responded to any questions and took initiative to follow up ensuring things went smoothly. We had a great time and would highly recommend this house.

Memorial - family reunion

Beautiful house! Very comfortable and quiet Loved the large kitchen and the deck was everyones favorite place to hang out in the evenings. If we have another family event on Vashon we will look for this house first.

Great house fir families

Our group had a wonderful time. The house was big enough for our group and basement is a perfect place for kids to play! Loved the deck with a view and easy to let the kids play on the playground while the adults chatted. Everything was nice and clean and communication was great. Also a super easy communte from seattle!

Wonderful family weekend at the perfect house

We had 6 adults and 4 kids (grandparents and two families) stay for 3 nights. The house was perfect for our needs, very clean, and easy to check in/check out. There are a ton of toys for the kids (we wouldn't have needed to bring any), the sauna is a treat, and the whole property is very nice. Nathan (the host) prepped us well for the stay and was very responsive and helpful anytime we reached out. I hope to go back in the summer!

Beautiful, relaxing stay!

We stayed two nights with family friends. The property was fabulous, very close to the ferry and with a great view. There were plenty of toys and play spaces for the kids, and a large covered deck with plenty of table space for everyone to eat together. Adults enjoyed the sauna! Nathan was very accommodating about check in and check out. The house is well equipped and Nathan responded quickly to questions!

Excellent island retreat

I’m so happy with our family’s stay at this beautiful home. I loved that it was the home of an actual family in stead of a corporate house rental. It was actually adorable finding things of little ones around in nooks and crannies. Nathan and Mellissa were prompt in their communication and clear with the home instructions. We had a great thanksgiving here. They were so thoughtful in leaving out beautiful dishes and a Turkey pan for us. We appreciate all that they provided for an awesome family vacay!

Beautiful Property, Quiet Neighborhood

Overall, we were very happy with our stay, with the hosts, and with the house. We would definitely recommend staying here! The hosts were very communicative, even providing youtube video tutorials about certain areas of the house. This definitely felt like you were staying in someone's home, everything was tidy but there was some dust and dirt on walls/baseboards. The yard was very beautiful as was the view from the deck. The location was very convenient to the ferry, if you are driving you will want to get there very early. It was just a short drive to get to the town with restaurants and grocery stores. There is a local delivery app/website that has several restaurants listed if you don't feel like leaving the house. We didn't realize that a microwave was not listed in the amenities (our fault for overlooking) so that was a little frustrating for us but not a big deal. There is a hair dryer listed in the amenities, but it was more of a fan, so I would recommend bringing your own hair dryer if those are important to you.

A very special country escape--So great we didn't want to leave the property for exploring.

Our family had such a special time enjoying this home. We thought we would be spending all our time exploring the island, but the home was a place for relaxing and letting the kids play. Our young kids explored the gardens and orchards, played on the swingset, and enjoyed the fresh air. There were more than enough beds for our group and we felt welcomed in and prepared for. The house was secure and there were spaces to play games and cozy up with a cup of coffee. There were great recommendations for dining out in Vashon and we felt like our hosts were very hospitable and knowledgeable. Highly recommend. Very comfy beds, clean bedding, incredible view and porch!!

Great Getaway

I took my immediate family for the weekend to celebrate my birthday. we had a great time. Everything in the house was up to par and Nathan was a great communicator. I especially appreciated the intro videos provided so we knew what to expect.

Great house for kids!

Our stay was fantastic at this property. It was perfect for a family trip (grandparents, two families with toddlers, and a young couple). So much stuff to do on the property for the little kiddos, from tha play structure, to toys inside to trampoline and mini dance studio. We could swap who was hanging with the the little ones and who got to go out and explore the island. There are great walks/hikes near by, food on the island was great (we ordered pizza one night and it was easy for delivery). I would stay here again in a heartbeat, especially as our kids get old enough to sleep in the cousins room with the bunk beds! I've sent the listing to other friends in the PNW as a great spot for a family get away. It's also a 1 minute drive to the Seattle Ferry. Highly recommend this fun and family friendly spot.

Amazing family house!!!

This property is even better than the pictures. The house was perfect for my two daughters and their families which included two three year olds and a six month old. THe older boys were thrilled with the trampoline , outside playground equipment and all of the toys. The yard is totally fenced in so they were safe to enjoy the entire property including strawberry and blueberry picking. The view is so much more than the photos describe. Nathan and Melissa were readily available and more than helpful with any questions we had. We loved downtown Vashon, kayaking and even a visit to a llama farm. Would love to stay here again.

Two acre fully-fenced small island farm and orchard ideal for family gatherings equipped with a 50 ft. covered porch overlooking the Puget Sound with peek-a-boo views of Mount Baker and downtown Seattle. The home boasts 3,300 square feet with a ballet barre (with mats and free weights), sauna, kids play area in the basement and garage game room complete with foosball table, ping pong and TV. The master suite has an office and an expansive bath with walk-in shower and soaking tub. The upstairs features a bunk room and second living room with TV. On the main floor, delight yourself in our recently remodeled gourmet kitchen with soaring ceilings, adjacent to our living room equipped with a cozy cast-iron fireplace.

The house is located within walking distance (.25 miles) to the North End Vashon/Fauntleroy Ferry terminal. It is situated toward the end of a dead-end cul-de-sac road, which provides both safety and privacy. The neighborhood is quiet and peaceful with occasional sound of ferry traffic unloading in the distance.
