Our goal is a 5 star stay for every guest, every stay! We really mean it when we say contact us ANYTIME, 24/7, if there is anything we can do to make your stay more comfortable. The Bluff House property is THE BEST on Vashon: 1000' of southern exposure waterfront, 40 acres, Mt. Rainier view, walking trails, a beautiful beach area with hammocks/tables/water/ bathroom/chaises (in summer) and a gorgeous house with fireplace, indoor/outdoor seating, well stocked kitchen, outdoor and indoor soaking tubs, etc. This guest did not reach out at all during her stay, but left a 3 star review without explanation. The Bluff House property is THE BEST on Vashon: southern exposure waterfront, 40 acres, 1000 ft of spectacular waterfront & Mt. Rainier view, a beautiful beach area with hammocks, and a gorgeous house with fireplace, indoor/outdoor seating, every amenity, outdoor and indoor soaking tubs, etc. Take a look at the photos and listing description and please let us know if you have any questions before booking.

The property has so many fantastic little spaces to help enjoy your stay. The beach, firepit and large deck made our time there perfect. And the fly-bys by the bald eagles were icing on the cake!

Amazing Stay!

We had such an amazing stay! Loved the unbeatable views of the Sound and Mt. Ranier! Home and grounds are beautiful, well designed and well stocked. We enjoyed the peace and quiet of the property as well as close proximity to restaurants in town. Would definitely recommend this experience!

The location, on the southeast side of Maury Island, is stunning with bluff high views out, over the Sound with Seattle and Des Moines beyond. The grounds are lovely with fruit trees, lush gardens, water features and a lovely waterfront oasis. The house is beautifully decorated with a calming beach vibe. The property manager was very welcoming, accommodating and accessible with answers to all questions.

A very, very special place. So many extra touches inside including live flowers and houseplants, well-stocked kitchen, lots of beautiful decorative items. Every room spacious and comfortable, lots of light coming in from outside. Nice fountain sounds out front and bird feeders around the yard attracting birds. The gardens are beautiful.The views of Puget Sound and Mt. Rainier from the deck are truly stunning, and delightful to take in from the soaking tub. The beach area below is set up for beach parties with fire pit, tables, chairs, hammocks, gas grill, plates, utensils, sinks, everything you would need for a wonderful afternoon-evening. We will definitely spend more time here next time.Lisa was a wonderful host, and has clearly put a ton of thought and care into every part of the property. We would love to come back and spend more time here. Thank you!

Beautiful house, garden, and amazing views of Ranier and the Sound. The moonlight on the water was spectacular. Mire bird species than we could count. Trip to town for groceries and restaurants was 10 minutes and a nice drive. Lisa communicated with us quickly and was incredibly helpful.

Perfect Relaxing Getaway

We had the most amazing, calm, relaxing, beautiful weekend here. We cannot get over just how beautiful the property was, with extensive private beach access, and beautiful views from almost every room in the house. The owners live around the corner and are extremely attentive and helpful. The kitchen was well stocked with supplies and generally just felt like a real home. Cannot recommend this house enough!

Vashon Island Getaway

Lisa's home is THE most beautiful place located in THE most beautiful edge of water in the country. The sights were fantastic. The home is lovely, warm and comfortable. We felt at home, only wish we'd been able to stay a little longer. I would love to go back for a longer visit. Lisa alerted us that a pod of orca was headed our way, sadly we didnt see them, would love to try again!

Magical

The Bluff House and surrounding property is magical. Stayed a week with my husband, best friend and her husband. Enjoyed stunning sunsets overlooking the Sound with a backdrop of Mt. Rainier from either the large deck, kitchen windows or the lovely hammock. We saw Osprey, Bald Eagles, countless other birds, deer, river otters, dolphins, all from the deck and immediately around the house. We walked the beach route and upper route across their property over to the beauty, picturesque Robinson Point Lighthouse - highly recommend curving out that area. The property is beautifully and thoughtfully landscaped to feel very private and the homeowner’s interior design skills are evident at every turn. Lisa was an excellent communicator, very responsive and helpful. Thank you for sharing your paradise with us, we loved every restorative minute of being there!

Truly magical night on Vashon

We spent one night in the Bluff House and cannot say enough good things about this place. The view from the deck is unbeatable. Lisa was very easy to communicate with and very helpful answering all of our questions. Only wish we could've stayed longer!

Relaxing

We really enjoyed this beautiful cottage. It was located high on a bluff with an expansive view of the water. We could be adventurous or just sit and watch the birds and marine life. Just the right mix for my husband and me.

Lovely quiet getaway

2 couples really enjoyed the location and the home Stocked kitchen and great pots n pans The View!!! Only thing I would add is black out blinds as 6 oclock on a getaway is not ideal for all. So bring your eye masks and you will be fine.

Magical

Walking up to the house (early April is Spring) surrounded by aromatic flowering bushes and a beautiful garden was magical. The first night we just explored the house, it’s like a museum! Nothing from Marshall’s sits on the well decorated shelves. I gave this place 5 stars in cleanliness even though some of the quartz specimens and books were dusty. The biggest issue with cleanliness was the soaking tub (for two) outside. With no cover, leaves fall in and I had to squat down inside to wipe up debris. Further, the first use of the jets this season released a cloud of army green murk into the tub after it was filled and clean. I don’t think it will be an issue for the next user, just seems like pollen from the previous summer dried in the tubes. I suggest filling the tub with cold water above the water intake in the bottom, and running the jets for a few minutes, then draining it before filling it with hot. It is beautiful to sit outside in the toasty water and watch the birds and enjoy Mt. Rainier and the amazing panorama of the sound, especially after dark. We walked to the Point Robinson lighthouse from our on ace along the rocky beach. Go during the day, it’s light in the beautiful fresnel lens has been replaced by a small blinking light on the rail, delightful walk with lots of interesting rocks and flotsam. It is easy to make wonderful food in the kitchen. No condiments are in the fridge but there are good spices, knives etc with copper pans for the gas stove. The character of every nook was captivating and fun. One note about Vashon. Plan your window shopping for days other than Monday and Tuesday. Some shops and restaurants take those days off.

The best of Vashon!

We rented this property for our anniversary getaway and it was perfect. Beautiful, quiet, unbelievable views of Puget Sound and Mt. Rainier, easy access to the beach and everything one needs to be comfortable when away from home. The property owner is also welcoming and easy to reach. And Starbuck, the miniature horse, was a real treat to meet as well. Vashon Island is brimming with treasures and this is an amazing place to experience it.
