Our home offers guests an updated, safe, clean and comfortable place to vacation. So close to nearby trails to use your snowmobiles and Orv’s. Boat dock (mention during booking if you need dock) to store your boat for a quick boat ride to lake or spend your time cruising the canals. We offer use of our golf cart during your stay (certain rules apply). Well-appointed home that is located in the quiet, safe and child friendly North Cherokee Village.
**NOTE: Our maximum occupancy is 7 guests.**

This was the best equipped property we have stayed. Thoughtful extras. Would like to see some furniture upgrades, but overall, this property was very nice.

Beautiful and quiet little cottage on the canal

My husband wanted a quiet little bonfire for his birthday. This was the perfect location and was exactly what he wanted. Cake, bonfire, on the canal and up north Michigan!

The house is beautiful! Everything as listed plus! Clean, quiet and private. Easy access to all the stores, restaurants and attractions. Rent this house! You won’t be disappointed!

Great place for a family!

Plenty of room for our big family! It was clean and tidy with lots of games to play. We caught a ton of fish off of the canal. Great location and the golf cart was a fun added touch! We definitely will stay here again.

Amazing Houghton Lake Canal Home

Everything was as beautiful as the pictures. We had an amazing time. The home was spacious and spotless. We had 7 people and it never felt tight. Beds were comfortable, kitchen had everything. Being on the canal is perfect and only a short boat ride to Houghton Lake. Being able to dock your boat right at the house’s dock is so convenient. We will be back.

Welcoming and good location

The home was definitely welcoming and cozy. We all enjoyed fishing off the dock, checking out the neighborhood with the golf cart (everyone was very friendly) and simply relaxing. The location is great near W Houghton lake drive which has EVERYTHING on it. We created some awesome family memories here! Thank you Dan and Kerrie!

It was everything we were looking for. The channels to the lake were perfect for lounging and fishing. Community was amazing. Only thing I would recommend is upgrade on mattresses. We would highly recommend staying here.

Ice Fishing Get Away

Previously stayed in the summer and now for ice fishing. Recommend in any season. Great hosts and the house has everything you’ll need (and even if you forgot something it will likely be there!). Have always stayed lake front in the past but it worked out well to stay just one road away and on the canals.

“Little Peace of Heaven”

Wonderful time! Our second time coming, always so clean and comfy. We came at a different time this time and enjoyed fishing and golf cart strolling to look at deer all around the community. Also, had a campfire and ate s’mores that they provided along with many other items to make our stay very relaxing and enjoyable. Great Host and great stay, every time. We will be back again, 😊 J Z.

The pictures represent this home perfectly. Well-kept home, lots of extra amenities, responsive owner, and a fabulous canal access to the lake. Just what we were looking for. Husband said book it now for next year! :)

great place to stay

All the girls said they had a very enjoyable time everything in the house was prefect for our needs the host was very helpful when I called her for a question, the only problem we had was with the small restroom one of the girls did fall when she went to get out of the restroom also two more of the girls almost fell getting out, i think we thought it was because we didn't expect it to be so far down, all of us are over forty so it did scare us maybe a bigger floor matt or a sign, I do not know, I do know we would stay again. Thankyou so much

Almost Perfect!!

Very clean!! 5 star Nice, quiet community...right on the canal 5 star Very close neighbors so privacy is limited but its a lake community so privacy shouldn't be expected. Dock was available (Awsome) Almost Perfect.....Master Bed was too soft, kept rolling to the middle and pillows were hard. We woke up sore all 3 days...still loved it.

Home Away From Home

Perfect relaxing stay! Super Clean and comfortable! All the comforts of home. Each room was equipped with necessities to make you feel at Home! Right down to the Decor! No need to bring extra personal stuff. Most everything is provided...Lots of towels, hygiene products, bedding , living room quilts and blankets, a recliner. Property is very nice

Amenities are good, only one tv, couch in living room and beds could use some updating. Should explain property is on the canal and you have to go through a very tight bridge with a boat to get on the lake. That was pretty hard to navigate. Overall good. The beds for us were the deal breaker and the couch. So uncomfortable. Kitchen is well stocked. Tons of plates and pans. We cooked everyday and used the grills. We got several emails about our dog being leashed prior to arrival that was a bit annoying as we had already confirmed we agreed to the rules. Our dog is an ADA dog and travels extensively with us. She is always leashed and well behaved. It was excellent to have her along but felt the constant reminders were a bit over the top.

Perfection!

This home is so welcoming and comfortable. It’s exactly as described. Meticulously maintained and very VERY clean. The decor is adorable and it is the most spectacularly equipped vacation rental home we’ve ever stayed at. From the welcome S’more kit to the coffee/tea station there is literally everything you may need and so many more thoughtful touches throughout every room to make your stay as “feels like home” as possible. Kerrie definitely goes above and beyond in making the entire stay from booking to check-out absolutely flawless, communication was excellent. It’s obvious how much she cares about your stay, her attention to detail is phenomenal. The neighborhood is very nice and incredibly quiet, so peaceful and lovely right on the canal. It is conveniently located near several convenient stores such as Walgreen and a super Walmart just minutes away. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and would book this home again without any hesitation.
