We stayed with 6 adults and one pet for 5 days. The location was perfect for what we were looking for. We were able to access the home just as advertised in the booking instructions. The home was spotless and had plenty of room for all of us. The property management and contact we extremely helpful and very quickWith any responses. We will definitely lookTo book here again !

Excellent locationOverall very clean; outside porch and deck needed some attention New AC unit was put in during our stay … much quieterHot Tub was way too warm and needed to be cleanedOverall wonderful place to stay, so peaceful and quiet Definitely would consider staying there again!

Overall, property is wonderful. The house itself was spotless. Very clean, lots of extra towels and blankets. All the beds were super comfortable. All three bathrooms were spacious and had amazing showers. Kitchen is well stocked, fireplace in family room is cozy. Yard is a good size for dogs and children to run around in and firepit was a nice set up. 15 min to Lake Placid, close hiking trails, good location.The description is a little deceiving. The house has one bedroom and bath on the main floor (1st floor), 1 bedroom and bath upstairs, and 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom and sauna room in the basement. Not a big deal I just wasn't expecting the layout. The only other thing was the hot tub. In the pictures the hot tub is on the deck, it is actually down the stairs off the deck in the yard. This was my biggest issue because I wasn't expecting to have to run through the cold and up stairs to get in the house. Host was easy to communicate with, good directions left in house, easy check in and very clean. Would stay here again.

Hosted a ski trip with a group of friends and this place is awesome! 4 mins from Whiteface, 18 from Lake Placid. The hot tub worked great, and the sauna worked really well too.

Great stay at the Chalet

Was a wonderful 4th of July week at the Olympic Dreams chalet. Everything was as advertised and it met all of our expectations. Would highly recommend if you are looking to stay in the Lake Placid area.

Great Location for Whiteface activities and just 10 minutes or so to Lake placid. We never needed to drive we walked to whiteface, the hiking trails and swimming hole.Definitely coming back next year!

Our family enjoyed our stay at Olympic dreams. Nice restaurants close by and not far from downtown Lake Placid.

Family Vacation

Our family had a great time, the house was perfect. We had to cut our stay short due to an emergency and the property manger was so helpful with our quick departure.

We were a family of 10 and were very comfortable in this house. The 4 kids/teens enjoyed having the upstairs room with bunkbeds to themselves while the grandparents enjoyed the main floor without having to navigate the stairs. Adults stayed downstairs.The kids spent a little time in the sauna and hot tub despite the heatwave. The AC kept us nice and comfortable on the hottest days. Activities in Lake Placid, on Whiteface Mountain and the Ausable River are easy to access but you will still feel like you're in the woods. The house is on a main road so we didn't feel comfortable letting our dogs off leash in the front yard but they enjoyed the back yard and lots of short area hikes.My only complaint is that there wasn't enough surface area (i.e. tables, shelves, hooks) in the downstairs bedrooms or bathroom to accommodate our toiletries. A small table in the bathroom or some hooks for hanging travel bags would've been helpful.We would definitely come back!

Great House!

The house was beautiful—only one mile from Whiteface, twenty minutes to Lake Placid. Very spacious but still very very cozy. Plenty of room for seven adults to spread out but be together. Love the sauna and hot tub and the fireplace was wonderful! Definitely recommend!!

Great location close to Whiteface and Lake Placid

Overall we enjoyed our time in Wilmington. The outside fire pit hot tub and sauna close to Whiteface and Lake Placid. It was a wonderful family vacation! were added benefits. This is a great location. The owner Michael was fantastic to work with, however the property manager ?

Great Property

My family had a wonderful week at Olympic Dreams VRBO. We celebrated Christmas together. Well equipped kitchen for cooking breakfasts and some dinners. Enjoyed the amenities. Weather was perfect for skiing 3 days as planned and house was so close to the ski area they could be there when they opened. Enjoyed some time in Lake Placid too. Thank you for making our visit so enjoyable.

nice location but in need of updates and maintenance

great area, but in need of updates and maintenance. Rolling shelf fell off, AC sometimes didn't work, AC cover fell off, dishwasher didnt work, and generally felt like updates were needed through out. Property manager was great and responsive but never offered an apology for any of the concerns that we brought to her attention. She did admit that they were aware of many of these.

Disappointed

We had black ants on all 3 levels ( I believe most were entering through gaps of a poorly installed air conditioner in the upstairs bedroom)) The upstairs toilet was leaking enough that we had to turn the water off. The owner isn’t getting his moneys worth when it comes to his cleaning crew. Living room air condition unit in the living room needs to be cleaned or replaced, there was mold in it.

Rustic getaway

We did enjoy our stay at this property, but be prepared for lots of quirks. The house is very creaky in general. The bunk bed is not really usable as a top bunk- so do not plan on putting anyone up there. We did bring our dogs which was great, but there were 4-5 piles of throw up in backyard. Which was disgusting and challenging to keep pups away from. The fireplace did not work with remotes- the house maintainer Steve was really kind and stopped by and showed us how to light it from inside the fireplace - so usable but not conducive for most. The dishwasher pod holder wouldn’t work, so to use the dishwasher you had to throw pods into the dishwasher itself. The upstairs bathroom had no temperature control so the water was scathing hot and unusable. The door in the basement shower was not on the hinge and that was super challenging as well. The sauna worked a couple of times but then we couldn’t get on again. It was a great location to the ski resort- but the house is tight and very quirky. It seemed more like a place a bunch of guys who went skiing would come back and crash for the night than for a family who was using house consistently during their stay. House was clean, but overall needs some updates.

We enjoyed the peaceful yard surrounded by the woods. The location was great for many different places, such as High Falls Gorge, Whiteface Mountain and 20 minutes to Lake Placid! Communication with the host was excellent. The 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms made our stay more enjoyable!

Perfect Thanksgiving Getaway

We were looking for just a simple getaway and change of scenery for Thanksgiving and already love the region. The house and property were just as expected, plus some! The house was all set for our arrival. There were more pots and pans, as well as cooking essentials than we anticipated. We did have a few of our own; corning ware for cooking and reheating. Previous renters seem to love cooking on high heat or needed small sppon but other than this, excellent choice! The hot tub was turned on, cleaned snd ready for our arrival. We didnt use the fire pit due to weather but the chairs looked perfectly fine. We did bring our own just in case. We will be back!

Family vacation LP Lax

Great property and location to plenty of outdoor activities. House was great as was the fire pit and jacuzzi. Yard could use a some maintenance and the Adirondack chairs were falling apart but we made due. I recommend anyone staying and wanting to use the yard and fire pit bringing some chairs along and a weed wacker 😊
