Enjoy this private 1 acre getaway with 3 bedrooms, 3 baths, amazing views throughout majority of the property. Relax by the fire pit or in the oversized hot tub or take a siesta in the Costa Rican hammock. Large back deck (upper and lower) for spending family time grillin'-n-chillin' and taking in the scenery including the families of deer that visit regularly.
Spend time floating in Lake Travis at the private dock just minutes away.

Wonderful property - sadly our timing was not the best. Everything was very comfortable, location was ideal and the views spectacular. We hope to return under better circumstances. I would recommend this property- the only reason I only gave 4 stars was because we didn’t fully get to explore all the outdoor spaces as it was flooding and non stop raining while we were there.

Christmas in Austin 2025

Due to changing circumstances, we had to make last minute reservations to spend Christmas in Austin to be with family.Thankfully, this rental accepted us despite making reservations the day before arrival.We enjoyed our stay on top of the mountain. Amazing views of the lake down below. Yes, the road up is steep, but doable. I would stay here again.

Great out of the way, private home!

This home is very much like a tree house! Very nice views! It was only my husband and I so we only speak to the master bedroom bed- queen size and comfortable! We really enjoyed the deck off the master for its views and the outdoor TV. There is another bedroom with queen and its own bath and closet with very good washer and dryer. The downstairs has a bed room with 2 bunk beds and a full bath. Nice sized kitchen and comfy living room. We used the hot tub only once- mostly because it rained most of our stay. The hot tub was nice, though we couldn’t figure out how to get the temperature up above 98. I think the only- minor- downside was the location. It’s about 45-50 minutes to downtown Austin and about 25-30 minutes to the HEB grocery store. Also be careful on the roads closest to the house- very narrow. However, if you like the privacy and good views, which we did, it’s worth the drive!

Magical Stay!

We had such a lovely time at this property. The owner was very responsive when I needed to get in touch. The place was spotless. The location wonderful. Went down to the boat dock for a swim. Relaxed on the patio. Kids used the hot tubs. Grown-ups made smores. Just idyllic! Next time we'll stay for much longer. We are definitely going back!

Peaceful stay with family in a beautiful lakehouse

Thank you Melinda for being a wonderful host during our friend's reunion weekend stay. Everyone loved the property. Melinda was very responsive, not to mention at New Year's eve, to our inquiries about hot tub. We will be back.

Great spot for a low key ladies retreat

Charming place in the hills with a great view of the lake. The quiet neighborhood was just what we needed for our ladies retreat to unwind and relax. Our book worm of the group mentioned the literature available is a great selection of reads giving a 5 star rating. There were plenty deer sightings on the property and the hot tub was a nice amenity to use after a day at the lake or hiking.

Summer Travis Lake adventure

Very nice property. The house has wonderful lake views. Plenty of patio seating. Negative is narrow road getting to property and very steep driveway.

Cozy Gem

Perfect amount of space for 5 adult women. We prepared some meals at the house and they had all the standard supplies we needed. Grill was great, too! We made friends with some deer and enjoyed evenings on the deck. Super comfortable and easy. Would book again!

Peaceful and pretty, great location

We very much enjoyed our stay. The proximity to Pace Bend park (~15 min) was a plus for mountain biking and cliff jumping. The property was quiet and frequented with deer and pleasant bird song. Clean and comfy on the inside, but I could have easily enjoyed another day alone sitting in the hammock on the back porch. Fire pit was a great way to wind down the evening. Would not mind a return visit here!

Great place for a great time!

Had some friends get together to catch up and enjoy a little get away and this place is perfect. Plenty of things to do and it was nice to have a place like this to escape. The kitchen was great and there was plenty of room for everyone to hangout and sleep!

Spacious Stay by Lake Travis

We had a beautiful Thanksgiving weekend stay. The views are awesome, the property was clean and welcoming, and it was very nice to see the deer outside. Melinda communicated very well throughout the whole process. Highly recommend!

Lake Travis Oasis!

We stayed here for my wife's birthday with some of our friends. The views are absolutely stunning all around. Lots of different living spaces outdoors to chill out and relax. We will definitely be back!

Gorgeous Views - Relaxing Stay

Our family really enjoyed a quiet getaway at this home with gorgeous views from most of the house and property. We cooked all of our meals and just enjoyed the house and property. Everyone enjoyed the hot tub and fire pit for roasting marshmallows. We brought wood but there was plenty there as well. Even in hot July, the covered porches were cool enough to sit and enjoy the outdoors. The host was responsive and helpful. We would definitely recommend to others.

Guys Trip to Lake Travis

The "cliff notes" version: The house is gorgeous. The views are incredible and their was plenty of space for 8 guys and all of our stuff. The hot tub was big and clean and was a blast to use. The view from the fire pit was insane. The kitchen had plenty of utensils to get the job done. The grill was quick to get hot and plenty big enough for our group. The public dock, just down the road was such an awesome perk. Seriously cannot recommend the house enough. I only had a couple of negatives, and they were both super minor. The location is a bit more out of the way than I realized. Make sure you load up on groceries before you head out to Spicewood. I would add that the standard "pantry" was a little limited, so if you think you might need some sugar or flour or anything like that, make sure to bring it with you. Also the carpet upstairs needs some TLC, it has started buckling in a couple spots. Not really a problem because we didn't spend much time up there, but worth noting.

Treehouse paradise

Beautiful home overlooking Lake Travis. Lots of trees, views and deer to see. The home was very well equipped and was a great spot for a relaxing vacation. I can’t wait to book the home again.

Avoided the snowpacolypse for a Grade A week!

Had my girlfriend come down with me to meet my mom and sister who live in south Austin and this was a little vacation for them too. Absolutely perfect house, clean, Melinda was very accommodating with rescheduling last minute in February when that ice storm hit so we could come a month later and it was gorgeous! My boat club was nearby, we golfed, bonfires every night, hot tub was a once or twice a day deal, half hour from everything in Beecave, not too much further to Austin. Minor complaints from my mom that will not apply to this five star rating. I will be coming back 100% !
