Stunning Spacious Lower Level Apartment near Rock Creek Park. Enjoy an open space, 1200 square foot, two-bedroom unit located on the lower level of our home. Features a beautiful natural stone walkway and steps leading to a private, keyless entrance with a deck and adjacent patio. The walkway steps may be a mobility issue for some.

The suite has a fully equipped kitchen, and work area with large desk, computer, printer and high speed internet. Bedroom 1 has a king-size bed, HD TV, and wood burning fireplace. Bedroom 2 has a queen-size bed, HD TV, and a work area suitable for a laptop.

3rd great stay in a row

This unit is convenient to Bethesda and Rockville. The host is very kind and left us snacks (helpful for night arrival when things are mostly closed). Check-in and checkout are always easy. We plan to return again next year.

Home away from home

This is our second time staying at this property when visiting our daughter who lives in DC and we stayed even longer this time--11 days. It was just as wonderful as we remember it being last year and we'll try to stay here every time we come back. Shirley has made this rental feel like a home away from home. Thank you, Shirley.

Family getaway

The property and amenities were designed with the guest in mind. Neighborhood was quiet with multiple walking trails, gym was close by (10-15 minutes walk). Host was very receptive throughout the process. We had everything we needed as a family. Simple fabulous!!

The pinnacle of places

Shirley's residence was the best place we have ever stayed and we have been to a lot in just past year. Everything was great including the snacks she left us. Spacious enough for 6 of us to move about without bumping into one another. The list of superlatives is long so let me just say if considering a visit to D.C., book with Shirley. As we were packing and ready to depart, we got a chance to meet her and that was just another added bonus.

Fantastic place!

Large, open, easy in, easy out! This host thought of everything! There was a fabulous welcome basket waiting for us, what a nice touch. I would absolutely recommend this property!! Host is a gem.

another perfect stay

We visit the area around DC about once a year and we always enjoy our stay at this property. Shirley prepares it nicely and is very easy to contact if there are any issues. We look forward to coming back again next year.

Fall break visit

We had a wonderful stay at this property. The cleanliness was impressive and the decor added a special touch to the overall experience. Shirley was very responsive and had provided more than enough extras for our stay; snacks, drinks, cleaning supplies, toiletries, etc. we highly recommend this place and recommend to anyone looking for a comfortable and welcoming stay.

Living like a local

We come to the DC area frequently to visit our daughter and have always stayed in hotels in busy parts of Washington. The hotels were very nice, but we always returned home exhausted after overdoing the tourist attractions and being in the middle of the hustle and bustle and city noise. Shirley’s place is a nice mix of convenience to tourist attractions by car or nearby Metro or if you just want to live like a local as we did. The space itself is one of the most comfortable and well equipped properties we have ever rented. We especially enjoyed beginning each morning out on the deck in our pj’s drinking coffee while being serenaded by birds. There is a grocery, CVS, Starbucks, etc. just a short drive away with a large parking lot. We stumbled upon the access to Rock Creek Park while walking through the quiet neighborhood. No need to drive and hunt for a parking spot if you want to hit the trails. We will definitely want to return here on future visits.

Perfect DC home base

Very well appointed suite in a beautiful neighborhood. The suite was exceptionally clean with comfortable beds, a well stocked kitchen and the array of welcoming snacks was very thoughtful. Shirley was an amazing host, we would not hesitate to stay here again should we ever return to the area.

Family DC visit

Wonderful stay! Beautiful place in a beautiful and quiet neighborhood. Owner was very responsive to messages, had a basket of snacks waiting for us when we arrived. Well stocked. Very comfortable for our family of 6. Would definitely stay in this property again.

Gorgeous!

The apartment was beautiful! New, clean and perfect for our stay. It was fully supplied with everything we needed along with some very nice welcome treats. I highly recommend although it may not be the best place for the elderly and definitely not for handicap persons.

We could not have been happier with the home, the location and the owner, Shirley. My grandkids said it was the best place they had ever stayed at! I believe they ate almost all the complementary snacks Shirley left on the counter!! Everything was absolutely 5 Star!!

Great place

The place was beautiful and well appointed with what we needed. Owners were very nice and the snacks and water was a nice touch. The only and it’s small was that the sleeping areas were in my opinion slightly Mia leading. It says there is a futon on the landing before the second bedroom is really just a couch. And the listing stars in the great room has a double and a single bed it’s solely a sectional couch our young boys were comfortable out there but it was not as completely accurately described in my opinion. All and all it was a wonderful home and very comfortable just maybe not for a family of 5.

Wonderful Stay

Very clean. Good location. DC traffic very congested allow time for travel. La Ferme is a great local restaurant that is only a couple miles away. Wegman’s is a good place to buy any groceries located on Wisconsin Avenue. Definitely would recommend.

Perfect!

This is the best short term rental we have ever stayed in! Large, well located, beautifully decorated, spotlessly clean space filled with incredibly thoughtful amenities. Fully equipped kitchen stocked with snacks, coffee and extra household supplies (garbage bags, paper towels). The bathroom had toiletries, plenty of towels and laundry was easily accessible. The owner Shirley provided clear check in instructions, along with directions on everything from operating appliances to local restaurants and attractions. Thank you Shirley, your space is truly a cut above!

well-equipped and comfortable place

This was a great place to stay during our recent trip to visit family nearby. It was nicely decorated and comfortable and it was very well-equipped for a rental. It had pretty good kitchen equipment and even a fair bit of food when we arrived (which was very helpful with our 11pm arrival; almost everything nearby was closed). Shirley was warm, helpful, and easy to reach. We didn't need to contact her for much in the first place though as the binder of info in the unit had basically everything we needed to know. We will definitely be back.

Great location with top notch hospitality

The location is in a great neighborhood with a short walk to a few restaurants and a 30 minute walk to Silver Springs metro with we used a lot. Shirley was an amazing hostess with many amenities waiting for you on arrival. The apartment is tastefully decorated and you unsteadily feel at home. We will definitely be back.
