An old and quirky house located in central Columbia close to the downtown area but about 15 minutes to anywhere in town. This colorful home backs right up to Worley Street Park and is walking, uber or driving distance to many downtown establishments. Note the garage is not available for car storage.

Neighborhood concerns

We rented this property for my husband to visit our daughter for dad’s weekend. While the house itself was fine, aside from smelling heavily of grease, the neighborhood was concerning. On the first evening, as my daughter and husband were heading out they were approached by the police to ask if they had heard the gunshots that had been. Uoon

Quaint

Overall, we enjoyed our time in Columbia. It was a short weekend trip and we really only slept in the home. The neighborhood was not as nice as other neighborhoods we’ve stayed in, but it seems the town is older and there was work being done during our weekend to help improve the area. Volunteers were every where cleaning and helping the city. The home was just enough space for us.

We had a great stay at The Purple House

Everything went smoothly from booking to check-in. The house was great and perfect for our needs. It was our first homecoming at Mizzou and we had a blast!

The house was so cute and comfortable. Cozy beds and all. The bathroom had plenty of extra shampoo etc to borrow. My daughter goes to Mizzou so it was a very short drive. Nice neighborhood. Owner very responsive and available for questions. Thank you again!

great value

5 guys enjoyed a Mizzou Dad's weekend. The host was super easy to communicate with. Had an issue that was quickly resolved regarding one or two futons...there is only one. Host was super apologetic and rectified quickly. Would recommend and plan to stay there again.

Good spot for a quick trip

Was a good spot for me, my wife and daughter to stay during a swim meet in town. We ran into a few issues but the owner went above and beyond to make things right for us. Close to campus and downtown.

Close to Campus

Stayed here for moms weekend. For 2 people it’s a great spot to lay your head after your sons wear you out! So easy to get to from downtown Columbia.

Little but perfect

Small home but had that was needed. Check out at 10am was a bit hard for us, but plan on staying here again!

Review

The futon was really uncomfortable and when I got there the floors were really dirty. I was a little nervous with it being jus off of Worley(I used to live in COMO) but the neighborhood was really quiet.

College roommates reunion/girls getaway

Perfect little house for our long weekend/roommate reunion. The backyard area was very nice to hang out in for evening drinks. The property was a very quick Uber ride to the downtown area. Will definitely be back the next time we visit Columbia!

Property is well appointed and clean and the owner was very responsive. She was very helpful when we left something behind and let us return to pick it up.

Nice stay

Our family needed a place to stay for Mizzou weekend. This place was great for that. Bedrooms and kitchen were perfect size for us and back yard was nice to relax in. Tv remote was missing and host offered to find us one but no big deal as we were not there often. Host was responsive and nice to communicate with. Would recommend and would stay again.

Great stay- Highly Recommend

The purple house was a great stay for our group. Location is close to everything in town and the neighborhood is quiet. Caitlin was quick to respond to any questions we had and was an accommodating host. Check-in/check-out was super quick and easy. The house is stocked with everything you might need. Overall value is excellent considering the price. I will definitely look to stay here again if/when back in the area!

Dissatisfied

Was disappointed in the cleanliness of this house. Cobwebs, dead bugs in the tub and tile in the shower falling off. Paid for 2 nights and only stayed 1. Ended up getting a hotel for the second night.
