We try our best to disclose the quirkiness of the second oldest condo on the mountain…spiral staircase, small bedrooms and closets through our listing descriptions, dimensions and accurate photos. We are glad you enjoyed your stay, but are disturbed by the failing rating. We are very proud of our 5 star rating and premier host status and want to address some of your comments. First, the size of the condo including dimensions of each room are clearly disclosed in the listing. Secondly, the kitchen table and two benches are more than 8 feet long and should easily accommodate four people on each bench. We specifically disclose that the living area will seat 5-6. Thirdly, we show photos of the loft ladder and disclose the loft access in the listing. The condo is more than 50 years old and is historical on Schweitzer Mountain as one of the first two residential housing options built when Schweitzer opened. We have done our best to modernize the condo with a completely new kitchen and bathroom updates, but there are limitations on an historical building such as this. The condo provides a great value for guests. However, there are several more modern options on the mountain at much higher rates that you should consider for your next trip.

Marie, thank you for your review and we are glad you had a nice stay. I do want to address the early check in request. You requested to check in five hours early. In order to accommodate that request, housekeeping and pre-arrival inspection would have to be rescheduled. A five hour accommodation is difficult especially during a holiday week. The condo was occupied during the 24 hours prior to your booking by personal guests of the owner. We always allow guests to check in up to 90 minutes early if the condo is ready but it is not unusual to require a fee for a check in five hours prior to the stated check in time.
