Welcome to the Red Behr Inn.  A ski in/out chalet located on Crystal Springs above Schweitzer Village.  This Bavarian styled home looks and feels like a mountain chalet.  Four levels allow family and friends to pick their favorite bedroom, yet come together for wonderful meals in the Great Room with fireplace and upright piano!

Get ready in the 8x20 ski room with heated floors and ski down to the village off the back deck. Ping pong table, air hockey, and foosball in the lower level rec rooms or enjoy movies in an upstairs family room!  This is an ideal home for families and kids to be and play together.

Gorgeous and large kitchen with heated wood and stone floors throughout the home. Primary suite with jetted tub and gas fireplace. BBQ on covered deck. Double garage with additional parking in front of home.

Schweitzer Mountain is considered the largest and best ski mountain in Idaho and Washington! 2900 acres, two bowls and 92 runs with Terrain Park, Village w/Cambium Spa, Nordic ski trails and snow mobile, heli / cat skiing options too.  In summer, hike, mountain bike, pick huckleberries, get married, and enjoy the incredible views into 3 states and Canada.  Overlooking 43 mile long Lake Pend Oreille, the views atop Schweitzer Mountain on a clear day can't be beat.  Book today!

*Note: This home only has room for parking a maximum of 3 vehicles on site. Two in a garage and ONE on the street in front of the garage.

Presidents week family trip
Great property for all ages with walking into the village for dinner to game night with the family. Great ski in/ out access right off the back ski room with a moderate run out into the village.

Overall a nice stay
This is our second time at Schweitzer Mt and first time at The Behr Inn. Communication with the owner and property management was okay. They responded reasonably quick. There were some hiccups during the stay that were eventually resolved. First, the propane tank for the grill was low and I got different responses from the mgmt co. When I called they said they’ll bring a replacement, but after 15 minutes they called back saying the grill is broken and should not be used. However we were already using the grill when she called and it was working fine so made me think maybe they just don’t want to deliver the propane. At my insistence, they replaced the propane tank eventually. Second we had an issue with the hot water because there was no hot water going to the top floor bathroom and barely on the other floors, we had to tinker around in boiler room to get it working. Third, the hot tub was not full when we got there and we had to fill it ourselves, made the whole stay less ideal. The beds are queen size beds which made things difficult for those whose kids are younger and didn’t want to sleep in the kid’s room. Overall our stay was good. We enjoyed the place and surrounding areas, the house was spacious enough for 6 adults and 6 kids.

Wonderful time!
We had 3 families staying at the Chalet ages ranging from 2-60. It had ample space and a ton of flexibility in sleeping arrangements. We had 4 cousins in the bunk room and parents in each of the three BRs. The common area was spacious and the TWO large dining tables made meals very easy. The ski in/out was simple enough once you understood the routes to take. Depending on your skill level, you'll find one that works for you. (more skilled skiers will find they have less walking). Would highly rec'd for a multi family get together.
