“Down by the Sea” is where you'll want to be! Enjoy spending your vacation in this beautiful oceanside home in Whalehead Beach. Enjoy the private pool, hot tub, and the quick walk to the beach!

Ground Level: This floor features a very large rec room with a Ping-Pong table, wet bar with bar fridge, big-screen TV, stereo and a semi-private main bedroom with a king bed. The pool and hot tub are accessible from the rec room.

Mid Level: You will find two lovely main bedrooms with king beds on this floor, in addition to a room with twin beds that shares a bath with a bedroom that features two twin-over-double bunk beds. All rooms on this floor have deck access.

Top Level: This floor features a great room with a TV, stereo, kitchen, living and dining areas, powder room, and a main bedroom with a king bed King and a private deck.

Amenities: Private unheated Pool, hot tub, WiFi, eight TVs, two DVD players, two stereos, two dishwashers, wet bar with a full-size fridge, high chair, Ping-Pong table, horseshoes set, and a private gas grill. Beach access is 400 yards.

THINGS TO KNOW
For January and February bookings, please contact the property management company to ensure the hot tub is available.
This property is managed by Vacasa North Carolina LLC
You will be required to sign an additional lease agreement upon making a booking which will be sent to your email. You will not be able to check in until we have received your signature electronically. Please contact us directly if you do not receive this agreement.
Fireplaces are available November 1st through April 1st
Private Pool Dates: The private pool is open May 1st through October 15th. The private pool is unavailable outside of these dates.

Parking notes: There is free parking available for 4 vehicles.

Due to local laws or HOA requirements, guests must be at least 25 years of age to book. Guests under 25 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian for the duration of the reservation.

Great house

House had plenty of room for everyone. Nice pool and hot tub easy access to the beach about a 5-10 minute walk. Another plus to the house is it’s about a five minute walk to get ice cream.

Family Fun

Great layout for a large mixed family group. Several games, beach chairs, floats, and large yard for corn hole. Top viewing deck perfect location for fireworks which are only a mile away! Bring a bike or wagon for the beach, but yes still very nice location because of the beautiful convenient walking path directly across the street.

Great family vacation home

This house was perfect for 9! The rooms were clean and nothing looked worn or old. The kitchen and dining area were great in an open concept. Awesome decks. The winner was...the pool! After beach, instead of beach...location was cool, too. Six minutes to Tuna Beach. Thanks to Vacasa for jumping on an air conditioning issue in one of the rooms.

Spacious home

The house is spacious and comfy for multiple families. The kitchen had a variety of kitchen tools as well as pots and pans, although most of those were not usable. It is not far from stores and other things to do-making it perfect to get away without being too far from the necessities. Unfortunately, I am rating this home as mediocre because there were many issues. The code to get into the house didn't work; the air filters were filthy; the water filter needed to be changed; the house was not cleaned very well-we found towels, bathing suits, and a bag of smelly trash in the kitchen can from the previous tenants; there was trash and beer cans in the yard and at the base of trees; many of the windows did not have screens; light bulbs were burned out-both inside and outside; some lights were missing covers; one of the TV's was broken; and the bunk beds were missing a ladder. You cannot see the beach even from the very top deck outside. While someone did respond to some of the issues, we were brushed off for others like the air filters. For people with allergies and/or asthma that is a problem. It was not very well maintained even for a beach house rental.

Spacious, comfortable house, poor Wi-Fi and amenities

The home had lots of room for families. Lots of bathrooms. Plenty of kitchen/dining area space and ample dishes with 2 dishwashers. Pool guy cleaned pool midweek which was nice. No notice however. Spacious Outdoor grassy area for kids to play was nice. All and all it was a good house but couldn’t rate higher due to some issues.

Great for multiple families

This home was perfect for our trip to Corolla. We had three separate families and the four master bedrooms worked out perfectly! No one fought for bathrooms either! The house was clean and was recently re-sided with cedar shakes and decked. The two dishwashers helped us keep up on the dishes and the kitchen was stocked with everything you could need besides food. Plenty of towels provided as well and the washer and dryer on site was running all week allowing us to head home without loads of laundry to do when we got back! We spent lots of time in the large in-ground pool when the rip tides became too dangerous to swim in. This has been one of our favorite places in the OBX to stay and we plan to keep coming back!

Great family vacation house

The property was just as advertised - a clean, family friendly house with a private pool and hot tub in a quiet neighborhood, just a 5 minute walk to the beach. The wi-fi did not work great, however overall this is a great place for a family vacation. Nice propane grill as well. Easy access to restaurants, shops, the beach, and other excursions all for a fair price.

Leaky pool

Rental easy, corolla classic ladies very nice and thorough. Pool had to have hose left in all the time. Without pool usage-one day when temps in 90’s. Patched leak but did not hold. Did not find out about drive on beach until second last day. Nice beach for older people to know about. Wild horse tour great!!

Clean well appointed with lots of extras

The place is very clean. Nice bedding. Several of the doors do not shut or stick. Bathroom paper holders are falling off walls. A lot of debri around the house in the pool area. Nice pool. Kids had a grand time. Carpet could use a cleaning. Faucet in kitchen falling off. Super large kitchen. WiFi works very poorly, after a couple days we just gave up on it. Signal strength on floors other than basement is quite poor and it seems like there are outages from the internet service. Overall, we liked the place very much and would stay here again.

It was a wonderful experience

We were a family of eight adults and seven children. The house was clean and it was exactly as it showed in the listing. the kitchen very well equipped. The linen provided was neat. The rooms are spacious and decorated with good taste. The location was fantastic, two blocks from the beach. The agency send all the information in a timely matter, so our family which came from different part of the country could access to the house as soon as we got there. I will recommend the property to whoever would like to spend a vacation in OBX.
