Amazing Sunsets and Lake Quality
Completely remodeled lake home in June 2021 with many of the amenities and conveniences you expect to make your vacation truly enjoyable. And now this winter 2026 we are adding a 4th large bedroom that will have a King size bed.
Expect a very furnished kitchen with every utensil possible and quality appliances. Large dock with solar boat lift.
Incredible lake views and sunsets with 5 sleeping areas (3 private bedrooms plus 2 open areas). About 2,150 finished SF.
There is enough parking (2 concrete driveways for up to 9 cars) and also room for an RV complete with a 30AMP exterior outlet. Boating dock fits up to 2 or 3 regular 20' boats. 1 solar boat lift for a up to 20ft boat without upper racks. Very private lot with 200 feet of lake shore.
IMPORTANT SEASONAL INFORMATION
Please be aware that the dock, boat lift, kayaks, and Lily Pad are seasonal amenities and are not available after September 30.
Due to Minnesota's seasonal weather conditions and the possibility of freezing temperatures, these amenities are removed from the lake in the fall.
Guests booking stays after September 30 should not expect the dock, boat lift, kayaks, or Lily Pad to be available during their stay.

This VRBO was fabulous. The home and property was ideal for our family. We much enjoyed our time by the lake. Lake Ida is a very clean lake. The close location of this lake home to Alexandria was a big plus, as well.

Our stay was absolutely wonderful! The home was spotless, comfortable, and had everything we needed for a relaxing getaway. Beautiful home with lots of beds and outdoor seating. We had a wonderful girls weekend! Didn't realize how close the home was to the road but there was enough room to park and traffic lessened in the evening.

Sunset on Ida is an absolutely beautiful property! Our stay was brief as we were in the area for a wedding, but we will definitely be back! Everything you could ever need, want and more is at your fingertips. Such a beautiful place.

Beautiful lake view
Beautiful lake view home! Very clean, well stocked with many amenities! Loved boating, fishing, kayaking, relaxing by the dock. Wonderful family getaway.

Always a 5-star rating from us!
This is the 3rd time I have stayed at this property - twice with family and once with friends. The cleanliness of the house and beauty of the lake always make it a memorable stay. And the host, Francisco, is top-notch! I highly recommend staying at “Sunsets at Lake Ida.”

Our Heavenly Stay on Lake Ida
This vacation was exactly what our family needed. The house was immaculate.....beautiful...clean....comfy....gorgeous. The lake was incredible. The owners were wonderful to work with. I would recommend this property 100%.

Everyone enjoyed the lake views, the multiple options for sitting together (both inside and out), the home itself, and the obvious care and thought that went into preparing it for us!

Girls' weekend getaway
The property is beautiful, only pleasant surprises...kitchen had everything we needed, beds were very comfortable. We've stayed in many homes, this was the cleanest and most organized. Sunsets were amazing, made sure we got back in time to view them.

Ashleys's party left the home super clean and tidy, they were the perfect guests. As owners we believe when you really love your VRBO, you don't want to leave it because lacks nothing and its better than your own house.

I was born in Santiago, Chile and Jan in Albert Lea, Minnesota who as a world traveller met me (1981) and married me (1983) in Chile and lived there for 5 years after which time we moved to the States (1985). We now have 4 amazing adult children and 4 incredible grandkids. . I am a former Architect and lately a translation editor and Jan a former Spanish/French teacher currently an interpreter trainer. We love making friends in any language as well as boating and relaxing at any lake.

We were looking for an investment lake property for several years. A hard thing to find on our favorite Lake Ida. Very private 200 feet of shoreline where you cannot see your neighbors.
The view to the lake with its magnificent sunsets in all seasons whether from the deck, the dock or the home on top the hill never ceases to take our breath away!

Qué distingue a esta propiedad
Great location and lake views. Recently renovated to 2021 standards. Super equipped. 200 feet of private shoreline. You should be aware the lot is on a hill but has been masterfully terraced down towards the lake with comfortable sun-bathing areas. If you are looking for a flat lot and sandy beach, this is not the place for you. Look at the pictures and notice the stairs you'll have to climb to get back and forth from the lake / shoreline to the house. Very good access to the many nearby area attractions on a well-travelled county road which might create some extra road noise on the front side of the property but not at all bothersome.
