We loved staying at the Foothill Retreat! Jacque is a wonderful host who kept in touch throughout our entire stay. She accommodated us bringing our furry family member at the last minute and had thoughtfully prepared the house for our dog, which made us feel right at home.Jacque also recommended some great spots to visit in the area, which we really enjoyed. The house has gorgeous views, with deer and quail greeting you upon arrival. It has everything you need for a relaxing and comfortable weekend getaway. We had a wonderful stay and would definitely recommend the Foothill Retreat!

Hosts were fantastic! Enjoyed wildlife and views from the deck. Relaxed by the pool and toured the historic local areas shops, food & wine. Even loved by teens! :) Close enough to Calaveras Big Trees State Park. And Black Chasm Cavern.

We had a lovely stay and really enjoyed meeting Jacque and Sadie. The house is well-supplied, spacious yet cozy, and dog-friendly. The view from the deck is stunning, and the pool & agility yard are wonderful amenities for folks traveling with kids and pets.

The most well appointed and immaculate vrbo I have ever stayed at. Our host was amazing the home so thoughtfully appointed. This was our second time back for girls weekend and there will definitely be another!

Nanette and her friends were the perfect guests. They were so friendly, kind and loving. They left my place in perfect condition. I highly recommend them to any host and hope they come back soon.

Amador Getaway

So relaxing and great view. We really enjoyed quick access to wineries, meals in Sutter Creek, and afternoons at the pool on the property.

Wonderful Property

This is a wonderful place to stay. The owner makes sure you have everything you need and more. The location is very quiet and beautiful and you might get a visit from deer!

Lenore was an amazing guest. She was thoughtful, kind and very respectful of our place. She also left our guest house in perfect condition. I hope she comes back. Any host would be happy to have a guest like Lenore.

This was our second stay in this peaceful setting.The house is very comfortable and convenient to wineries and other gold country locations. We love sitting out on the deck visiting while taking in the view. We made several meals there. It has a well stocked kitchen as well as ample and comfortable seating and beds. It is nice that it’s all on one level but the two bedrooms are separated for privacy. My dog also enjoyed the level house, deck and yard! Hope to return again.

Anniversary Trip

My stay at Jacque's beautiful home with my fiancée was incredible. We appreciated the cleanliness and thoughtfulness in all of the amenities provided. We came up to celebrate our anniversary and truly got to enjoy some time away in this paradise. The pool was great to have since we visited during the hot summer. The space was spacious enough to feel completely private and secluded. We would love to come back someday.

Great Cottage in a tranquil neighborhood

Our host was fantastic and the cottage was a great place to call home for a weekend away. The open floor plan was roomy and inviting. We loved being able to enjoy the swimming pool and fenced in pet area. I will definitely reserve this spot again if in California.
