Creekside Home in Historic Sutter Creek

Sutter Creek Cottage has 2 bedrooms with luxury mattresses and home-made quilts. It is a short walk--just 2 blocks--from shops, restaurants, and historic buildings. Adjacent to Sutter Creek Cottage is a foot-bridge that crosses Sutter Creek to Minnie Provis Park. Shenandoah Valley, Amador's wine tasting region, is a short, 10-minute drive away.

Local historic sites of interest include Knight Foundry (across the street), the Monteverde Store (3 blocks away), and Kennedy Mine (about 1 mile away).

Sutter Creek and Amador County is a wonderful place to visit any time of the year. In the Spring, Daffodil Hill is in full bloom and Sutter Creek is at its peak for the annual Duck Race. The warm days of Summer are delightful sipping on wine on the back deck of Sutter Creek Cottage that overlooks the creek that the town is named after. Vintage cars cruise Main Street as music from live bands fills the air. Or go to one of the out door theaters to watch a play. Autumn colors are spectacular and wineries are busy with their Harvest Festivals or attend Sutter Creek's annual Blues and Brews celebration. The Holiday season finds Sutter Creek celebrating its small town simplicity with parades and Christmas celebrations. In Winter, Kirkwood ski resort is at its peak, and is just 1 hour from Sutter Creek Cottage.

Lovely home that is very comfortable. We slept well, bed was nice. Kitchen is nice but we didn’t cook. Everything was very clean. Perfect for going to the Feast at the Foundry, which we did. Only steps away. Driveway is tricky if you have a large vehicle. No internet and TV limited.

This Old House was comfortable and cozy. Perfect location for walking downtown!! Very quiet neighborhood. I might suggest adjusting the temperature before your guests arrive. It was 81 degrees in the house when we arrived and it took a good while to cool down. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay again

Great little house and great location. Check in was easy and we were able to check in early which was amazing! The beds were really comfortable also. We will definitely come back!

Lovely house, great location

It was almost perfect for our Sutter Creek Ragtime weekend. Parked in front of the house, & was an easy walk to town, even for 2 ladies in their 70-80s.To reach the back of the house where the key is, do use the walk on the right of house. (Be careful with the first 2 steps to the right side walkway; old codes didn’t regulate stair heights. They are not at all unsafe, just higher than ‘normal’ today) If you go down the driveway, the walk to stairs is longer around house, & a bit more difficult. Be sure to have your check-in, check-out lists either on your phone or as a printout. We did not find a list on the table as our info said, but really, it was simple. For check-in, the key is on a ledge to the right of the back stairs, but my friend couldn’t unlock the back door with it; easy on the front door. Check out was just making sure you clean up your stuff, lock up & leave the key. It’s all very simple if you have that "checklist" of what to do. I want my next stay to be a full week! Such a nice, clean, comfortable home.

This is a super cute home built in 1910 and beautifully updated for a great vacation! The front porch with the two comfortable rocking chairs was a pleasure for embracing the whole historical vibe of this Gold Rush town. The beds were super comfortable and the home is steps away from the historic Main Street restaurants, bars, shops and museums. Great place! The hosts are fantastic and they don't require much for the exit - pull sheets off and place in the laundry room, put garbage out in the cans. That's about all. The brisket grilled cheese sandwich and a margarita flight at Rosa's Cantina at 15 Eureka Street is to die for - absolutely delicious. Everything at this restaurant is fantastic!

Our stay was wonderful in a very quiet neighborhood, walked to Main Street restaurants, wine tasting rooms and antique shops. The home has everything for a great comfortable stay. We highly recommend this home in Sutter Creek.

Loved the house - very charming and ideally located in old Sutter Creek. House was very clean, but trash bins are at capacity and/or overflowing and need to be emptied.

Excellent Stay

Another excellent stay at the Sutter Creek house. I thinks it’s our 6th or 7th. Comfy bed, excellent linens, immaculately clean and comfortable. Lovely new kitchen and bathroom. Beautiful new exterior paint. Fun to sit on the rocking chairs on the front porch! Close to walk to everything! Highly recommend Rosa’s Cucina down the street! Will be back next year!

Fantastic Stay - Even Better Than the Pictures!

We had an amazing time at this home! The location was absolutely perfect—close to everything we wanted to do, yet peaceful and relaxing. The house itself was spotless, beautifully decorated, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Honestly, the pictures don’t do it justice! It’s even more spacious and charming in person. The hosts were wonderful and made sure we had everything we needed. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great getaway!
