Was there during winter storm

Property was warm and safe. We did not lose power. Quaint place with all the snow. Location was good too. King bed was like sleeping on pavement but the couch was available!

Peaceful

The chalet was clean. The only thing I had was the fact that we had to put the what (I thought was central air)turned out to be a window air conditioner in the upstairs attic quarters window ourselves. Also it smelled musty in the attic room and mildew on the ceiling from no proper ventilation. And the shower curtain smelled.

I am writing this in hopes that items that made this review lower than I usually give can be fixed and others can be aware. The house has definite potential. I love that we could bring the pups and I will say that I did not detect other pets have stayed here before, which is a definite plus! I do not believe the cleaning crew does a complete job. There were spider webs above the sink and a large one that had been there for a while in the dining room area beside the cabinet. Regular cleaning would have caught these. The master bedroom had not been vacuumed as underneath the bed had an over abundance of dust buildup. Both bathrooms had burned out lights above the mirrors, very difficult to put on makeup in the morning. There is a skunk living underneath the deck out back so be careful with your dogs, check first. Luckily, when we went out he ran back under the deck instead of spraying us. Relocating him would probably be helpful. Lastly, there are mousetraps in some of the base cabinets with some mouse feces present. Unfortunately the pots and pans are stacked to where mice can run throughout them and items are touching the mousetraps. Many of the pans were dirty and needed washing. I had to buy an iron, a 15 investment would provide convenience. Also for others, there is a blow dryer and coffee pot is standard not a Keurig.
