Stylish Main St Loft A3 Above Bakery + Restaurant - Sleeps 6

Welcome to Wonder! Wonder is a fully restored, historic 3 story brick building located on Main St. in Honesdale! The first floor consists of an amazing new restaurant Native Honesdale where you can dine and drink in style, and the new bakery Be Kind bake shop so you can wake up to the best new fresh baked goods each morning. The loft is 1200' square feet and professionally designed and furnished by Samuelle Green.

The loft can sleep up to 6 adults and offers modern design, 1 and a half bathrooms with walk in multi jet shower, full kitchen with concrete countertops and new appliances, 10' high ceilings, 1 queen bed, 2 queen size sleeper sofas, dining table and chairs, tv, wifi, and completely furnished with luxury linens, towels, utensils and more. Please know this is an open air loft. Bedroom and sleeping areas are separated only by curtains; therefore, there are no formal bedrooms.

The space includes:

-1 Queen bed
-2 Queen sleeper sofas
-2 full bathrooms with walk-in multi-jet spa showers
-Fully equipped kitchen with concrete countertops and new appliances
-Dining table and seating
-Smart TV and high-speed WiFi
-Luxury linens, towels, and fully stocked kitchen essentials

Please note this is an open-plan loft. Sleeping areas are separated by curtains, and there are no enclosed bedrooms. The bathrooms are fully private.

Access & Parking

The loft is located on the 3rd floor (approximately 20 steps to the second floor and a further 20 steps to the third floor). Please note there is no elevator in the building.

Free parking is available in a nearby lot just a short walk away.

Things to Know

Quiet hours are from 11 PM – 7 AM. The lofts share adjoining walls, so we kindly ask guests to be respectful of neighbors.

As the building is located above a restaurant, you may occasionally hear some light noise, depending on the evening.

No parties, no pets, guests must be over 25.

Loft was in an excellent location and very spacious. It was perfect for me and my friend. Creatively designed too and had all the amenities we needed for a quick one overnight stay. Only 2 things to note is it had 45 steps up to the A3 loft and parking lot was a couple of blocks away. However we parked in front of Gravity Ice Cream to unload our bags, then left it overnight on a Sat night and it was fine. Both items are stated so it wasn’t a surprise.

Honey in Honesdale

The studio was beautiful inside and out... perfect location in an amazing cute little town...that we all feel in love with. Perfect location that provided a short distance to ski at two family oriented resorts (Elk and The Big Bear). We will certainly make this trip again, and will stay at the studio. Thank you for sharing you modern amenities in a town with an old charm.

A very large hotel room

The best way to describe this property is that it's very much a big hotel room, 1200 sq ft. One bed. One sleeper sofa. Two burner stove, a full size refrigerator, with ice maker, microwave. No oven, dishwasher, washer/dryer. No dresser. No bedside lamps. For me, the biggest challenge was the narrow, long staircase to the loft. 43 steps on a staircase no wider than 4 feet. No elevator. Hauling suitcases up and down was difficult.

Very nice apartment in downtown Honesdale. My sister and I who are in our 60s and 70s had a rough time with the stairs but shouldn’t be an issue for younger people. We had a problem with the TV and Tim went above and beyond to get it fixed. My only suggestion would be to clean the windows on the outside because the morning sun shows the dirt. Great location!

Weekend stay

The place was a great option for a family in a town with not a lot of hotel options. Place was very spacious and met our needs above and beyond. Great location right on Main St. and allowed our family of 5 room to relax without being on top of each other!

We were so grateful to find this property.

This property was amazing. We loved the space. Very open and spacious. So clean and comfortable. We enjoyed the layout it was perfect. All the beds were comfortable with awesome sheets, blankets and comforters. The two bathrooms were as well spacious with a great tub! We will always choose this property to stay when we come to Honesdale.

Hello and welcome to Wonder! I was born and raised in Honesdale, where my family’s roots go back to the mid-1800s. After graduating from Honesdale High School, I earned my degree from Penn State University and spent a semester studying in Sevilla, Spain. My career then took me to Toronto, Southern California, and Northern Mexico, where I worked in marketing and business development.

In 2005, I returned home to join my father at RE/MAX Wayne, the family business my parents founded in 1993. Today, alongside my father and my wife, Heather, we proudly lead three offices serving our region. Over the years, our family has been deeply involved in revitalizing Main Street and supporting the Honesdale community.

I’m passionate about this town and love sharing it with our guests. When I’m not working, I’m enjoying time with Heather and our three children, Sadie, Zachary, and Jesse.

We’re so glad you’re here and hope you love Honesdale as much as we do.

This historic building sat vacant for many years, and after driving past it daily and watching it slowly deteriorate, I decided to take a leap of faith and restore it. With the help of Samuelle Green, a high school friend, neighbor to Wonder, and incredibly talented artist and designer we transformed the space into something special for Main Street Honesdale.

Today, the building is home to Native Honesdale restaurant, Be Kind Bake House, and six beautifully designed Wonder Lofts. It was a long journey, but seeing this corner of downtown brought back to life and contributing to the revitalization of our community has made it all worthwhile.
