Water’s Edge Luxury Cottage

Our cottage is right on the edge of the Sheepscot River in the heart of MidCoast Maine. Enjoy expansive water views, amazing sunsets, beautiful walking trails, and a large dock for launching your kayaks. Located at the Sheepscot Harbour Village, it is a short walk to Wiscasset, Maine’s Prettiest Little Village, where you can find delicious food, bakeries, local boutiques, art galleries and the famous Red’s Eats lobster rolls. Just a short drive away are Boothbay Harbor and Damariscotta as well as a number of other small coastal communities each offering something special. Our comfortable home is a welcome retreat from the world and a place to relax after a day of exploring, hiking, boating or any one of the many activities found in this area.

The home's open living area contains a well-stocked kitchen with everything needed to prepare a meal, a generous dining table for 6 and a sitting area with large TV and a wall of windows overlooking the water. Take in the view from this area or head outside through the French doors to bask in the beautiful unobstructed views of the water and the incredible sunsets each night.

Two of the three bedrooms have king sized beds and one has a queen bed. All have a ceiling fan. The first floor master bedroom has an en-suite with a tub/shower combination. The second floor master bedroom has access to a second-story balcony and is perfect for a morning cup of coffee.

On site parking is available. A washer/dryer and complimentary Wi-Fi are provided.

Upon booking, you will receive timely communications about your trip. Access to your professionally cleaned and sanitized home is also convenient with our custom keyless locks. If you need anything before, during or after your stay, our 24/7 local team is ready to help!

The house was beautiful and immaculate! Everything was as it was stated. The view was spectacular and the location was perfect for short little trips to neighboring towns. I would ABSOLUTELY recommend this property!

Great place to stay for us & friends. Good location and very well appointed. Easy access to Hwy1 and local attractions. House was very neat with comfortable beds. Only complaint was pillows need to be updated. Gorgeous sunsets!

This place was perfect for my brother, sister-in-law, husband and me. The communication with the host was great, check-in was easy, the house was beautiful, comfortable and had everything we needed. The kitchen was well stocked and the beds were comfortable. The scenery was beautiful. We enjoyed sitting on the patio, looking at the water while drinking coffee in the morning and it was such a great place to come back to after exploring the area all day. The sunsets are great too! Would stay here again and recommend it to others! Thank you!

Just wrapped up a wonderful week at Water’s Edge. The property was better than advertised, perfect for our group of four adults. From the beautiful water views to the comfortable beds and perfectly appointed kitchen and baths we felt right at home! Separate air conditioning controls in each room was a plus! Check-in was simple, and the owners quickly responded to and addressed our few minor questions/concerns.The location was great as a jumping off point. Damariscotta, Boothbay and Bath are all within 30 minutes of the property.A few things to be aware of: there is only one parking spot across the street from the property, we had to park our second car a short distance away. Not a big deal for us but could be a concern for someone with mobility issues.My elderly parents thoroughly enjoyed the first floor bedroom and private bath, but had to be very careful around the outside of the property. There are steps going down to the front door as well as a high step to enter the house. Access to the back deck also involves a few steps without a railing for support. Just something to be aware of.I would absolutely recommend Water’s Edge to anyone looking to get away to beautiful mid-coast Maine!

Beautiful home equipped with everything needed for a restful stay. Beautiful sunsets. Lots of friendly neighbors and dogs. It was in a great area for walking as well as exploring Boothbay Harbor, Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens, Wiscasset, Reid State Park, Damariscotta, etc. Acadia National Park was about 2 hours away, but still doable for some of our party.

Clean, comfortable and beautiful!

Clean, comfortable and beautiful home with everything you would need. Peaceful and quiet neighborhood with a great view of the water. Hosts were very attentive and answered all of our questions. We really enjoyed our stay and are already talking about coming back!

Beautiful Home with thoughtful touches

The pictures do not do this house justice! It is even more beautiful when you arrive. The fireplace was an awesome bonus for the chillier nights. The house is well equipped and has everything you could think of or need. From games, to flashlights, make up mirrors and even bug spray, you feel like you are home. We have rented many houses, and this is the first one where we did not have to buy a bunch of items. We will definitely be recommending this house to others!

Perfect home, conveniently located on the Maine coast

This is a wonderful home conveniently located on the coast of Maine! We were within 30 minutes of some of the best sights Maine has to offer. We also were blessed with the most perfect fall weather! The home is located on the Sheepscot River and provides a beautiful view. Every amenity was provided and everything was perfect for two couples. We felt completely at home. Thank You for a great stay!

beautiful spot

We loved this cute cottage with plenty of space. The view out the back door was beautiful, kitchen well stocked, beds comfortable. Close to everything we wanted to do. The only thing was we thought there was a fire pit in the back of the house, when in fact it was a short trek down the road to a sharable spot with the resort. We enjoyed it anyway, but wished it was closer. No biggie. We loved the place!

Cottage on the water

This was a trip on our bucket list to see the Maine coast, with our daughter's and granddaughter. The cottage is in a perfect location to see the coast line of Maine from Boston to Acadia! Every day we went out on a day trip and saw so much beauty. The house was perfect. The 3 rooms were great. Our oldest and her little family enjoyed what I would call the almost 2nd master on the 2nd floor. Loved the Balcony in that room because the view was amazing. The Master was so nice. Loved having washer and dryer. The kitchen was equiped amazing. Never traveled before and had such a nicely equipped kitchen. The radiant heat was nice, did keep house warm. Also loved the gas logs. Didn't find the bionaculars until our last day. That's a nice little addition. Also loved that there were essentials available. When you are traveling it is nice to not have to worry about immediately going out and getting trash bag, salt and pepper even paper towels. Also our daugther rented baby essentials and she found the porta crib so it was nice to have one upstairs and downstairs. Beds slept great, and great water pressure in bathrooms. Amazing vacation that we will never forget!

home away from home

My husband and I had a very relaxing , enjoyable stay at the Water's Edge cottage. It is well appointed, cozy, and very comfortable. The kitchen is fully outfitted with every appliance necessary to make a fabulous meal. The location was perfect for us to visit several quaint towns easily. We will definitely stay here again if we find ourselves returning to Maine.

Excellent property

3 couples shared the house and all were comfortable. The home is beautifully decorated, very well stocked, is in a nice neighborhood, has views, is quiet and secure. Owners were very responsive and all was as advertised. Couldn't have asked for more.
